SunClan's Story [New Thread]

{Note: We are not accepting new people, but if you are already part of the RP you can create new cats, with a limit of 20 each. A bit high, maybe, but I expect most people will stay well under it, so it's not as if every single person will be playing 20 cats. That would get a little crowded.}

Once, three clans ruled the forest. FlameClan, RainClan, and StoneClan.

That forest is nothing but ashes now.

Only four moons ago, it was the peak of green-leaf. Though it had not rained in some time, the river which ran through the territories of all three clans had not run dry. The weather was warm, prey was plentiful, and the clans were, for once, at peace.

It was just a spark. A careless two-leg, playing with fire, and the dry leaves under his strange paws.
That was all it took to destroy your home. The land the clans had lived in for generations. Gone.
More than the land, the three clans, as they once were, have been decimated.

You were lucky. You survived, while many did not.

It was a sign from StarClan that brought you together; a lone ray of sunlight, peircing the smoky clouds. Following it, you found what remained of the clans. Cats from each clan must now band together. Uniting into one clan, SunClan, you set off on a journey in search of a new home. A new life.

This is SunClan's story.

SunClan is currently led by Eaglestar, former leader of FlameClan and the only leader to survive the fire. Though most accept her authority, some, particularily cats originally from RainClan and StoneClan, resent her.

After travelling across open plains for several moons, the clan has finally found a new forest. Now, as leaf-bare begins, they struggle to rebuild their lives there.

{Note: Starting now, I'm changing the way time passes in this RP.

Because it can take a week or more to RP out a situation that lasts less than a day, time is passing very slowly. This wouldn't necessarily be a problem, but it keeps us stuck in a certain time-frame, like having just arrived at the forest.

To fix this, every Friday we will have a time skip. {As we often have plots that last more than a week, I've decided to change the time skips to be whenever they're needed/things are quiet.} The amount of time skipped will depend on what's going on in the RP. Please be sure to finish up conversations, fights, and plots that can't continue a few days later, to avoid being cut off.

Another problem with the way time is passing is aging. Even with time skips, it would be very slow--and I know there are people eager to have their kits grow up or apprentices become warriors.

So from now on, I will be adding a moon to every cat's age on the first of every month. I will keep a list to keep track of this, and send out PM's when cats reach important ages, like being ready to become an apprentice, warrior, or elder.}

Current Setting:

After moons of travel, the clan has finally reached the forest. The trees here are smaller and younger than the old, towering trees of your old home, and the undergrowth is thick and tangled; difficult to move through, especially in large numbers. Still, after the barren and cold plains, the simple shade of the trees is comforting. Even though many trees have already lost their leaves, the forest provides welcome shelter against the harsh wind. The clan has discovered a promising clearing to make their camp, and after some effort, have managed to clear it of brambles.

It's late morning. Leaf-bare has begun, though the first snow has not yet fallen. It is calm but cloudy today.

Recent Events:
{Note; only major events will be posted here. For recaps specific to your character, please try searching the thread for their name.}

• With the camp cleared and dens assigned, the clan is now focused on exploring their new territory. Soon, borders will need to be set and marked.
  
• Frostwing, Lightpaw, and Loudpaw dreamed of StarClan cats urging them to follow the river. They talked and, though Frostwing was reluctant, left without telling Eaglestar, to avoid the risk of being stopped. Now, they travel along the riverbank.
  
• Grinner returned for Duskpaw. He had somehow brainwashed him, and the apprentice is obeying the rogue's commands. Eaglestar confronted them, and, though they fought, managed to break Duskpaw free from Grinner's control. Meanwhile, a rogue ally of Grinner's, Sicily, fought Wolfpaw and Pebblerun. Though Wolfpaw's leg has been broken, the clan cats won, and Grinner, and Sicily fled.

Image/Description: Shiverwhisker is a long, graceful, and stealthy tom with prominent green eyes featured on his face and wide, angular ears upon his head. Shiverwhisker's fur is a luxurious silver-gray color, short, dense and fluffy in texture. His face can almost always be found in a calm, observing expression because things hardly phase him. In fact, you should never judge Shiverwhisker off of his name, because there are few things that could make him shiver. He's fierce in battle, but calm in conversation. He likes to train and never lets any second go to waste. Though wise, he prefers being a follower rather than a leader, but he's willing to speak his mind if necessary.

Long head fur covers a frightening scar over her right eye, just barely missing her eyeball, thankfully not making her blind. She is very shy, and will often run away from others. She doesn't trust much and dearly misses her brother. She is still searching for him, though the two are very far apart.

Born and raised as a StoneClan cat. She was raised with Pineclaw and was good friends with him. During the fire, she'd become seperated from the survivors, captured by a twoleg family who tried to make her a house pet. She finally escaped out of an open window one night. She started heading towards the only place she guessed they would go. The forest on the other side of the grasslands.

Eaglestar has light, grey-brown fur, graying to silver as she ages. Her eyes are bright green. She has a large scars on her upper back and left back leg, and some small scratches on her nose. She is thin and tall, with a long tail, large ears, and a pointed chin.
Personality:

Eaglestar is calm, and always thinks before she acts. She is dedicated to serving and protecting her clan, and spends most of her time working in some way. She's very forgetful when it comes to names. Eaglestar always tries to see the best in others, and will usually give them a second chance. She can be too trusting.
History:
Eaglestar was born a rogue. She was attacked and carried off by an eagle when she was very young, and would have died if she hadn't been saved by a member of the clan. Her family could not be found, so she was named Eaglekit and raised as a clan cat. Though some have doubted her because of her birth, she sees herself as as much of a clan cat as those who were born there.
She has 5 lives left.

Pineclaw is a large, handsome tabby with light green eyes and long claws. He has thick, coarse fur, and many small scars; the most noticeable crossing his mouth on the left of his muzzle.
Personality:

Though he was once a talkative, charismatic cat, he has become much more subdued after his mate, the StoneClan leader Foxstar, died in the fire. He spends a lot of time alone, hunting or guarding the clan, and tries to avoid conversation.
History: He is well known by cats in StoneClan, having been, for a time, both the leader's mate and the deputy.

Spiderpaw is a brown tabby with white places. His fur is a light dusty brown color with darker stripes that go down his back, face, tail, and legs. He has snowy white paws, a snowy chest and muzzle, and also a white stomach. Spiderpaw also has short fur, but the fur doesn't feel like bristles. It's soft, but rough. It's nice to touch though, and can be warm and comforting. He is glad for his fur, because he doesn't get hot in green-leaf, unlike those with long fur. He does get cold in leaf-bare, but reminds himself that he survived that time when he was just a newborn. Spiderpaw has golden eyes, but they don't stand out too much. They are dark and dull, but still nice to look at considering they hold a lot of warmth. It's a darker color, but they will brighten depending on the situation.
Personality : Spiderpaw is a tom with one of the best personalities you could find. As soon as you look at him, you can notice that he is a bit different from others cats. He isn't the type that is sly and creepy, one that makes you narrow your eyes or causes you to be nervous. Honestly, if there was a cat like that in Spiderpaw's presence, he's probably frown and become concerned for this very strange feline. Spiderpaw also isn't the flirty type, one that is constantly hitting on females and making them hiss out of annoyance. Spiderpaw himself doesn't like that type, though he wont be too rude to those who are that type. If someone tries to hit on him over and over, he will calmly tell them to stop. Spiderpaw isn't the type that is cocky, thinking the world revolves around him. He isn't mean or snappy either. Instead, Spiderpaw is a very calm and relaxed tom. He will always answer a question, and will put in helpful comments when others are needing it. He has a warm heart and smiles often. Instead of the protector with narrowed eyes and a stone-like face, Spiderpaw is protective like a father. He is warm and loving, yet will risk his own life for the ones he loves. He is very loving and kind, and very smart. Even though he can be forgetful at times, he is good at remembering things that are most important, like his tribe and his family. Dont get him wrong though, Spiderpaw can hold a face of stone if he needs to. When there is someone trying to attack the tribe, or someone threatening to harm his friends, he will go into action and attack. Sparrow is a large tom with lots of strength, and he will use this strength the best he can.

Personality : Frostwing is a she-cat that gives off the personality that you think of when you first see her. She's a very delicate and fragile looking cat, with a very calm and sweet personality. She's always smiling and giving off helpful comments when someone seems like they need them. Frostwing is a she-cat who is very soft spoken and has a light, breezy voice. She is constantly looking up at the clouds, eyes twinkling as if the stars have landed in them. She puts all her trust in StarClan, and if anything happens, Frostwing isn't one to get upset. She is very calm and relaxed, and it takes a lot to make this she-cat panic, which is a very good quality. Though it all goes back to her having a lot of faith in StarClan. No matter what, Frostwing will always believe in the power of StarClan, knowing they're watching over her and the clan through every battle and troubling moment. When someone dies, she hopes that StarClan will light their path, knowing it was that cat's time to die. She may not be a Medicine Cat or the Leader, but Frostwing has always wanted to have a special connection with StarClan. She feels like she has one even though she doesn't get messages or dreams from them. She knows that as long as her heart is filled with faith and trust, they will keep a special eye on her.
Frostwing is also a warrior with a lot of determination. She knows that she isn't the strongest in the bunch, but likes to use her smart skills and her brain when fighting instead of any type of ego. She often thinks before she takes any type of action, and likes to look at the big picture, but also every detail in the picture. She tries to make sure nothing it out of place or wrong, and if there is a problem that can't be fixed, she just goes with it knowing that the path of life has many twists and turns. Frostwing is a lot smarter and wiser then she looks, considering she is very young in age, and with her size she looks like an apprentice who just got their warriors name.
Just because Frostwing is a calm and sweet she-cat, doesn't mean she can't fight. She may be small, but her ivory colored claws are very sharp and good at shredding things. Because of her small build, she is very fast and agile, which mean she can easily dodge attacks and jump onto the back of an enemy, or slide under them and use the Belly Rake.
