[Hopefully this works for the rp. I didn't want to make Pebble be perfect in her attack since she's still on the young side ^^"]

Do the sun and stars have...
Bailey remained crouched for a few more heartbeats, straining to hear for any signs of being found out. When none came, the Retriever rose slightly - his ears still pricked above his head. Still nothing. Confused, the male stood tall in an attempt to find the female he'd scented earlier. Then the breeze drifted his way again and all he could think about was the fallen deer nearby, just waiting to be eaten. Mouth watering, he padded forward. As he stood over the carcass, his stomach grumbled angrily - as if it could no longer wait to be filled.
“No wonder. I haven’t eaten more than a couple mice in several days,” he growled softly to himself.
Dipping his head, the golden dog opened his maw before tearing into the soft flesh of the deer’s belly. Warm rich blood filled his mouth and the heady scent filled his nostrils. A light shudder coursed through his muscles as his starving body finally got what it craved so dearly. Being such a small breed, Bailey couldn’t easily take down large prey like deer. He had to stick to the smaller, faster game – rabbits, mice, fowl. And more often than not, he ended up exhausting energy chasing his quarry before losing it to a bolt hole or the skies. That’s why he’d indulge himself in this bounty, a rare treat for him indeed. If it came to him having to defend his presence at the abandoned kill, he would.
Thinking about the possible hunter returning, Bailey raised his head from his meal. His bloodied muzzle rose to the wind, mouth open and tongue lolling out as he scanned his surroundings and searched for the telltale scent of another predator. That’s when he became acutely aware of some creature drifting slowly his way. Or maybe not. He couldn’t tell the other animal’s destination, just that it was another canid – a black and silver wolf, dog, or something in between – who slipped through the forest easily and silently. As soon as he spotted the other male, Bailey’s hackles instinctively rose. He knew he was much smaller than the other canine, but he hadn’t eaten well in quite some time and didn’t care to leave the deer until he’d at least eaten to satiate his burning stomach. His eyes narrowed slightly as they tracked the other's progress.

Who out there holds the key to...
Pebble flew over the earth, her paws beating the ground in a steady rhythm. She'd finally found the bear tracks and those of a dog's. She swerved to follow the trail, her large paws slipping a little in the damp leaves beneath her. That's when she saw the bear. It was a black bear, while smaller than it's brown and grizzly cousins it was still a formidable foe. The rumbling beast was lumbering up to a multi-colored canine crouching on a ledge.
Without thinking, the silver wolf darted forward, charging straight at the bear. Her brain finally caught up to her body though, and she angled herself so that she would be attacking from its back - rather than head on. With a harsh nip, she grabbed the bear's haunch in her jowls before she let go and jumped back. In the nick of time too - a large paw tipped with razor sharp daggers of claws - slashed at the spot she'd just been in. Curling her lips back in a fierce snarl, Pebble took a step back as the bear turned to face its attacker. After a mock charge at the thick black predator, the she-wolf danced away, her movements quick and sure as she moved. She recalled the lessons of her pack as she drew the bear further from the dog on the cliff edge. Once there was a decent gap between the crouched canine and the bear, Pebble stopped – tail raised.
“Get out of here!” She barked sharply, to the multi-hued creature by the water. “Quickly!” With that she rushed at the bear, her concentration drawn back to her opponent. Before she could swerve to attack from its side, the black creature slashed at her with its massive paw – cutting into her side. While the wound wasn’t deep, it hurt badly and the surprise threw her off her course. She tumbled to the side, a gasp pushing past her lips as she landed on the fresh wound.
