Long, long ago, there were many cats exiled from a clan called Boulderclan. It was lead by a cruel, paranoid leader named Runningstar, who exiled and chased out anyone whom he thought posed a threat to his leadership. These cats who were wrongly-exiled and without a shelter, banded together and travelled far and wide to find a new safe haven for themselves. Eventually, they found it- an abandoned big red barn. These cats decided to make this barn their new home and formed a clan out of it. "Redclan," for the hopeful red-color of their home. The clan went leaderless for a little while, but Starclan sent down an omen of who would be their leader. A tom named Swallowheart, later named Swallowstar. It was also decided that the structure of the clan would work a little differently from their clan of origin, to set them apart from the feared Boulderclan.

Since then, the clan has had to move around a few times, since the barns after a few generations falls apart, but each time they’ve found another, similar barn to reside in. Only about twelve moons ago have they moved into their new home that’ll last them a few generations to come, and they’re already settled in. The new barn is surrounded by vast, beautiful meadows, the massive live oaks that stand alone in the meadows, a lake just a short distance from the barn, surrounded by draping willows. In the Spring, flowers bloom everywhere, and in the Summer, fireflies drift leisurely in the night sky. Rarely does hunger strike the bellies of Redclan cats, as there are always plenty of mice, songbirds, reptiles, and small fish to eat. Sunrise and sunset are beautiful, and on nice nights, you can see Starclan as clear as you'll ever be able to. It's a wonderful place to live, but like everything, it has its flaws. This region is frequently ravaged by fierce thunderstorms, heavy rains, flooding, powerful winds, and the occasional tornado. There are also plenty of curious predators and hostile rogues slinking around, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

ＩＭＰＯＲＴＡＮＴＰＬＯＴ

◆ The leader, Applestar, has recently passed away of old age, at the impressive age of 120 moons. Her youngest grandson (who was also her deputy), Horseleap, left to visit Starclan's Tree and returned at sunhigh the next day after receiving his nine lives. His deputy was announced the same night he returned. It has now been seven days since these events.

◆ The smell of strange cats have been found around the territory, but nobody can find the source. These cats are actually eight cats who come all the way from the mountains. Specifically, from Boulderclan. They were guided to Redclan territory by Starclan, but currently, they aren't sure why they were brought here. Nonetheless, they loyally followed Starclan and their leader, Rosestar's desires. They are currently living with a loner named Sheep, who's guiding them through this unfamiliar land.

Camp;;

The camp resides in a big, old, abandoned barn that's covered with ivy. Despite it's age, it's fairly sturdy against the elements.

- The Stalls;; There are two massive livestock stalls. These are where the fighters, hunters, and apprentices reside. The fighters and hunters share a stall, while the apprentices have their own stall.

- The Tack Room;; There's a small, closet-like space that used to be a tack room, but now serves as the leader's den.

- The Hayloft;; Go up a ramp, and you'll find yourself in the hayloft. On one end, is where the queens and the kits stay. On the other end, is where the elders stay. You might think it's hard for the elders to go downstairs if they need to, but thankfully, the ramp is not all that steep, making it easier on them. On the up side, it's the warmest, driest, and safest place in the barn, but on the downside, it can be dangerous if the barn catches on fire.

- The Tornado Shelter;; There's a small, concrete tornado shelter behind the barn, which goes underground. This is where the medicine cats and the medicine cats' apprentices do their jobs, and treat their patients.

Territory;;

- Starclan's Tree;; Each time Redclan moves, Starclan chooses a new tree from where cats can communicate with them. It's a full day's journey to go to and from here. The cats must go through a forest, and eventually, they'll come across a massive clearing with a lake in the middle, and a small island in the lake. In the center of the island, a massive weeping willow stands. Cats must wade across this shallow lake to get to the island, and then touch noses with the trunk of the weeping willow.

- The Pastures;; Places where livestock used to graze. In most pastures, the grass is really high, but some of the pastures have smaller kinds of grass in them. These places are perfect hunting spots, as a lot of various rodents, birds, and reptiles are found around there. Many couples love to go out to the pastures, find a tree or rock to relax on, and take in their surroundings together. It's especially amazing in the summer, when there are fireflies. It's pretty romantic!

- The Big Tree;; In an unkempt pasture, where grass is very high, there stands probably the biggest live oak these cats have ever seen. This is where they take apprentices to teach them most of the basics of clan-life- to hunt, climb, fight, and ambush.

- The Pond;; Near the barn, there's a nice-sized pond. In it, there are lots of small fish, frogs, and turtles, and sometimes water fowl will roost here. This is where mentors primarily teach their apprentices how to fish and swim, but also do some basic hunting and fighting here as well.

Horsestar stepped outside of his den, slowly looking around the barn. As of late, he's had a feeling something big was coming, but he wasn't quite sure what. He hadn't heard anything from Starclan, so perhaps he was just being paranoid? He glanced over his shoulder at his big, spacious den. It was much too large for a single cat to live in. Usually, the leader's mate and their kits would reside in there, but he had no family. A small smile played on his lips. He remembered relaxing with Applestar in that den as a kit, while his mother took a break from caring for him. He would hear how his own mother grew up in the leader's den. The fact that Applestar remained leader for so long was incredible, she could recall nearly every name of the original Redclan cats up until her death. He could admit, he missed Applestar.

Cowspots woke up as soon as she heard an array of songbirds sing outside the barn. Quickly, she stood up and cleaned herself off, and then calmly walked outside of the stall. She glanced at where the deputy would assign patrols, flicking an ear. She considered going out on her own, but decided to stick around camp just in case Tornleap would decide to send her out on a hunting patrol. Finding a comfortable spot inside the barn, she lied down and waited patiently.

It took a little while, but Daisybreeze managed to encourage herself to get out of her nest and start the day. She cleaned herself up, then bounded happily out of the stall. Immediately, she considered her options. She could either take Cinderpaw out for training, but maybe Tornleap would decide to put them together on a hunting patrol. Either way, it'd work. Her pale blue eyes flickered curiously around camp as she considered who seemed open to some friendly interaction.

Rabbitpaw had been awake for a long time, but he only just now got the motivation to get up and start off his day. Occasionally, the tom suffered from insomnia, and this happened to be one of those nights. He tried his best to blink away the sleep from his eyes and run on his own adrenaline, letting out a miserable groan as he trudged aimlessly around Redclan camp in a desperate attempt to shake off this annoying grogginess.

Batear jolted awake, panting heavily. He blinked a few times as he realized he was in Redclan, then shook his head. It was just a bad dream, Batear, get yourself together. He silently scolded himself, hoping nobody would notice his panic when he woke up. He took a few seconds to calm himself down before he got up and explored the camp. Frankly, he hoped he wasn't chosen for a patrol, and was hoping he'd be allowed to do his own thing today.

Vultureheart grumbled as sunlight beamed onto his eyes from his well-hidden den. He pushed himself to his paws, stretching out his currently-stiff muscles. He didn't even bother flattening down his pelt, but instead, he focused on the more important things- eating. He carefully exited his den, glaring off in the direction of Redclan territory. Redclan, the very name caused his fur to bristle. He growled softly, prowling forward as he scented the air for potential prey. He caught wind of Sheep's scent, as well as the scent of several odd cat's that he's never smelled before. Curiosity prodded at him, but decided against investigating and continued his mission to find food for himself.

Sheep had woken up early in the morning, before any of the Boulderclan cats awoke. She had decided to be a good host and went out hunting. Now, she gazed at her catches and counted the numbers of mouths to feed. There were seven. If six shared the three bigger pieces of prey, and one ate the smaller piece of prey, then everyone should be fine. A sense of pride swelled within her, and she realized how much she missed being around other cats. She was glad she could care for the Boulderclan cats, they were good company, though she wasn't sure how long they'd remain with her. With a small sigh, she slung the rabbit over her back and picked up the two squirrels and the mole in her mouth, walking slowly and carefully so the rabbit wouldn't slide off.

Honeygaze's sharp yellow eyes fluttered open, and she let out a lazy yawn. Glancing around at her clanmates, she sat up and groomed herself free of the scraps of her nest. Then, she realized an empty space in the den. Where was Sheep? She shrugged it off and continued grooming her short white coat, hoping one of her clanmates would wake up soon and speak with her. Already she was feeling terribly bored.
