1x1 - Corgi Fox <3 & Furrydogs12

A Good Day to be a Dog - the newest movie, based off of the popular webcomic of the same name, that big-time celebrity, Suho Sol, is set to star in - is officially in production! There are also other big-name celebrities that will be starring alongside him in this film; interestingly enough, however, is that his leading lady, Lan Xia, is not a big name, celebrity, yet. In fact, she's quite the newcomer to the movie industry! That said, however, she's quite the talent, and the director that cast her for the role feels very confident in his decision, seeing as how promising she is as an up and coming actress - he feels that she fills the character's role perfectly, and thinks she will be quite successful in the future. So, that said, here the two of them now are, castmates and starring as the two focal points of the film. Usual business for Suho, he's used to it, and is always more than happy to work with new talents and fresh faces.
But this time, unbeknownst to either of them, it's quite different. They, as per their agencies' instructions, will be performing a publicity stunt, both to promote their popularity by starting a good old-fashioned rumor that the public will be an absolute sucker for, as well as to boost sales of the film. What does this publicity stunt entail, you ask? Well...
Is Superstar Suho Sol Taken? Rumors of Whirlwind Romance with A Good Day to be a Dog Costar Lan Xia Soar!
Reports of the two costars cozying up to one another on-set have emerged, with many of their costars confirming and suspecting that a new romance has begun to blossom between the two leads...
Many news articles and headlines just like this one are soon to follow in the coming weeks. Yes, it's true - they're dating! At least, according to the public eye, with many reliable sources - their agencies included - confirming the news in official statements. But how will the two stars react when they catch wind of the news? And will they actually get along as well as they pretend to lead on in the public eye? Furthermore...will this remain strictly as business affairs, or will they eventually actually start falling for one another as they spend more gime together and start bonding? Only time will tell...

Xiao Lan
The Rookie

The bustling noise of the agency lobby filled the air as the door swung open, and a soft figure stepped into the room. Xia Lan, known in the entertainment world as Lan Xia, paused just inside the threshold, the sound of the door closing behind her almost drowned out by the hum of activity. She took a deep breath, her almond-shaped eyes scanning the space, wide with anticipation and a touch of nervousness.

Wearing a chic yet modest outfit—a blouse with delicate hanfu-inspired elements, paired with a pair of trendy trousers—Lan Xia stood at 5’5”, her presence graceful yet understated. Her straight dark brown hair fell in soft waves around her shoulders, complementing her porcelain complexion. The slight beauty mark on her left cheek was barely noticeable unless one looked closely, adding to the softness of her youthful features.

The receptionist looked up as she approached the desk. Lan Xia gave a polite but shy smile, her nerves clearly getting the best of her. She stepped forward and spoke softly in Korean, a language she had grown fluent in over the years. "I have an appointment. My name is Lan Xia."

The receptionist nodded with a professional smile. "Ah, yes, welcome, Lan Xia. We’ve been expecting you. Please, take a seat. Someone will be with you shortly."

Lan Xia gave a small, grateful nod, her hands adjusting the delicate strap of her bag as she settled onto a nearby chair. She took a deep breath, silently reminding herself to stay calm. This was her dream, the chance to prove herself. The bright lights of the agency, the air of expectation—it was all so overwhelming, but she was ready. Or at least, she hoped she was.

Her thoughts were interrupted as a man walked up to her. He was tall, sharp-eyed, and exuded confidence. "Lan Xia," he said, extending his hand with a warm, welcoming smile. "It’s a pleasure to meet you in person."

Lan Xia stood, her movements careful but polite as she shook his hand. "It’s an honor," she responded in fluent Korean, offering a smile that was just a little more confident now.

The man’s smile widened. "We’ve heard great things about you. Please come with me"

Suho Sol
The Celebrity
Age: 24
"And...cut! Alright, that's a wrap! Great job, everyone!" the director's voice called out, clear as a bell, as soon as Suho and his costar flawlessly finished filming their very last scene of Act Like You Love Me!, a k-drama that had just finished its last episode of season 1. Suho smiled, giving his costar a high-five and praising her work; the girl was an excellent actress, so it was a pleasure to star on the show with her as his leading lady. The series had grown to become a huge success, and that was definitely in part heavily attributed to them, the two main characters' actor and actress, being so good at playing their roles.
"Hey, let's go out to celebrate!" another one of his costars suggested, "Drinks and food will all be on me!" "Ooh...I'm down for that! We should go get some fried chicken!" another gleefully added in. As his costars discussed their plans, Suho glanced at the clock on the wall. It was nearing 4:00, and he had to get to the next studio to discuss an upcoming movie that he would be starring in, A Good Day to be a Dog, with the company and the actress that would be starring alongside him. It seemed like a great project to take on, considering Act Like You Love Me!'s season had just ended, and likely wouldn't get okayed for a season 2 until after the movie's filming would be wrapped up. He politely smiled, then shook his head as he started walking over to the changing room to get changed back into his regular clothes, "I'll pass, today, but thank you, anyway! I've got another appointment to get to, soon." "Oh? Leaving, already?" his coworker asked, his head tilting to the side in curiosity. "Unfortunately so; but we should all get together another time, for sure!" Suho assured them. "Sheesh...they usually keep you pretty busy, huh?" his coworker smirked playfully, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall. "You could definitely say that," Suho chuckled with a nod. He then got changed, said his goodbyes to his coworkers, and headed out with nis manager.
Upon arriving to the studio, he and his manager entered the building, the two immediately headed to the receptionist's desk. "Good afternoon," Suho said politely, "we have an appointment with the studio." The receptionist nodded, already seeming to know who he was. "Ah, yes - Suho Sol, correct?" "Yes ma'am," he nodded. "Perfect - they will be will you momentarily," she responded with a polite smile back to the tall man. "Thank you," he and his manager both responded, then took a seat to wait.
Soon enough, however, a clean-cut, well-polished man in a suit came to retrieve the pair. "Ah, Suho, and Manager Kim - hello, again!" the man, a familiar face that Suho had seen before, greeted him. "Mr. Choi! Hello," Suho politely greeted in response with a smile as he and his manager shook the older man's hand. "Come right this way," Mr. Choi said, directing him down a hallway; Suho followed suit with a nod. "How've you been?" Mr. Choi asked, "It's sure been a while, hasn't it?" Suho shrugged, "Oh, you know, always keeping busy - but I've been good. How about yourself?" Mr. Choi nodded, "Good, good. I've been pretty well. This year's been excellent in viewings and ratings on our recent projects, so far-" He glanced over at Suho, pausing for a slight moment, then continuing, "I'm hoping that trend continues, but with you starring in our production, I have no doubt that trend will continue! Rumor has it, your leading lady is quite the spectacle, too. The director refused to even see any other applications after watching hers during try-outs and auditions." Suho chuckled, "That's great - glad to hear it. And I'll do my utmost best to exceed your expectations." He paused for a moment, then added, "Interesting - I can't wait to meet her, then!" Was Mr. Choi spouting pure flattery? Sure, producers always do. That's obvious. However, in this case, it was justified - Suho had won many awards, and is considered to be one of the best actors of his time. Not that he bragged about that, in fact he was pretty humble about it, but it also gave him much leverage in the industry to have won so many awards. And it wasn't every day that a director thought so highly of a new face, so he was genuinely intrigued to see how good this woman, Lan Xia, truly was at acting. He had high hopes.
The two of them, as well as Manager Kim, continued their small talk as they rounded a corner, and Suho noticed another man leading a woman with wavy, dark brown hair down the very same hallway. Could this be his new costar, he wondered? Sure enough, just moments later, both of them were led to the same room, and instructed to wait there whilst they retrieved a couple more people.

Xia Lan
The Rookie

As they turned a corner, Lan Xia’s gaze fell on a familiar face: Suho. He stood there, speaking casually with someone, but the moment their eyes met, the world seemed to slow. Tall, poised, and undeniably handsome, Suho carried an air of star power that was impossible to ignore. It was no surprise that he was such a highly respected actor in the industry—his presence alone spoke volumes.

Lan Xia’s heart skipped a beat, though she quickly masked her internal flurry with a polite smile. She had heard so much about him, and now here he was, standing just a few feet away. It was a little surreal. She had spent so much time hearing about his work, his skill, his charm on set, and now she was about to share a project with him.

Trying to steady her nerves, she focused on maintaining composure. She knew the director had high hopes for this pairing, and the pressure of those expectations was not lost on her. This was her chance to prove herself, not just to the director or the agency, but to herself.

Lan Xia gave a small but confident nod, feeling her pulse quicken as Mr. Choi continued to lead them both toward the room where they would meet the rest of the team. There was no turning back now. She was ready to step into the role of her life, and nothing—least of all the weight of working alongside a star like Suho—would stop her.

Suho Sol
The Celebrity
Age: 24
After Mr. Choi and the other man left the room, Manager Kim also excused himself, presumably to catch up to the other two men. Suho took a quick glance around the room - a couple of healthy-looking pachira plants stood proud and tall on either side of the door, seemingly like guards at a castle's entrance. Three soft, black leather chairs were all lined up alongside one another, in front of a deep mahogany desk that had four chairs behind it, facing them. Behind it was a huge window, showcasing a beautiful scene of the hustle and bustle of Seoul from about halfway up the industry's building. Bookcases and cabinets in the same shade of wood, finished with brushed brass handles, lined both sides of the windows, and no doubt held important documents - contracts, movie/tv show pitches, scripts, etc. A cozy little room, but also very professional.
He then looked back over at the woman, whom he assumed was Lan Xia. He hadn't gotten a good glimpse of her, before - only a split second of eye contact, before his attention had been returned to Mr. Choi as he spoke. But, now that he got a good look at the young woman, he had to admit that she was gorgeous - her elegant features, paired with the contrast between her dark hair and eye color, and her soft complexion, made her appear as though she were a porcelain doll. She seemed to also carry herself with grace and confidence, upon his first impression of her, based on her mannerisms that he had observed. No wonder they had made such a big fuss over her - of course, that combined with excellent acting skills that turned the director's head in her direction and got people talking was a recipe for success, was quite impressive and formidable, in Suho's humble opinion.
"Hello," he greeted her with a friendly smile and a formal bow, "I'm assuming you're Lan Xia? I'm Suho Sol, it's nice to meet you."
Observing her, he recalled his first time starring in a big movie alongside a bunch of big-name celebrities. He remembered the immense - and, rather intense - mixture of emotions that he had felt. Excitement, nervousness, fear, anxiety, energy, joy...all of it, wrapped up into one as he had excitedly realized that it was actually happening. But those pesky nerves got in the way a lot; his costars had intimidated him, at the time, so he just wanted to make sure that she felt at ease. He hoped that making this film would be a fun and positive experience for her, like his was for him, even in spite of all the nerves and fears. So, he wanted to leave a good first impression, and also wanted to make sure she'd know that he'd be there to help her out - not to act like some celebrities and be a total, judgemental snob - especially to a new actress.

Xie Lan
The Rookie
Lan glanced up at the man who had spoken her name with a polite, yet cautious smile. Suho Sol. She’d heard of him, of course—his reputation preceded him. He was a seasoned actor, known for both his talent and his charm. Still, it wasn’t as if she were starstruck; her years in the industry had taught her how to mask any nerves or excitement.

She took in his appearance, noting the warm, welcoming expression on his face. His bow felt genuine, not stiff or rehearsed, which was a relief. There was a subtle hint of humility in his mannerisms, and she respected that. She straightened up a little, suddenly more conscious of her posture.

“Suho Sol,” she repeated softly, matching his bow with one of her own. “Yes, I’m Lan Xia. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Her voice was smooth, calm, but underneath, there was a quiet gratitude for his approach. It was hard to miss the fact that he was making an effort to make her feel comfortable, and that was something she appreciated.

She studied him briefly, remembering what she had seen of his work—his talent, his intensity in roles. But beyond the roles, it was clear that he was making an effort to reach out to her, someone new. A silent part of her felt a little less alone in this new environment, where things could easily become overwhelming.

“I’ve heard so much about you,” she added, giving him a slightly warmer smile. “I hope we can work well together.”

Lan leaned back slightly in her chair, her fingers lightly brushing the edge of the table as her mind started to turn. So far, Suho seemed like someone she wouldn’t mind having around.

Suho Sol
The Celebrity
Age: 24
Suho noticed the way that Lan Xia had suddenly changed her posture as she formally introduced herself, mirroring his bow with a polite bow of her own. Again, her mannerisms were elegant and dainty, and exhuded a certain charm. Meanwhile, her voice was smooth as fine silk as she spoke, her words delicately floating through the air. Her tone gave off a grateful and humble air, and he was glad to see that she seemed to be at ease. Upon hearing her speak about the fact that she had heard about him, and hoped they would work well together, he smiled and responded, "I've heard much about you, as well - all good things, of course. I look forward to working with you, and hope we work well together, as well." After this, he took a seat in the chair right beside Lan's, and paused for a slight moment. Then, he added, "You've made quite an impression on the director, so I've heard..." His voice trailed off for a brief moment, as though in thought, before he continued, "That's no easy feat - especially when it comes to him. He's very particular about the actors he chooses. When I was told how he reacted to your audition, it was pretty surprising. That doesn't happen every day - it's actually pretty impressive." The director's reaction heavily intrigued Suho, and he was honestly quite curious to see the new actress in action. She must be a total natural, and such talents were an incredibly rare find.
Just then, the door opened, once again, and Manager Kim and Mr. Choi reentered the room. Three other men, all three also in suits and crisp-cut, followed behind them. "Alright, let's get down to business," Mr. Choi politely began, then decided to introduce the three men, "These are two of our producers for the film, Mr. Mincheol Yoon and Minhu Song; and this is, of course, Director Dowan Cha, whom I'm sure you've both already met, before." Mr. Choi motioned to the three men as he spoke, and Suho nodded as the man spoke. "Of course; nice to meet you, Mr. Yoon and Mr. Song; and it's good to see you, again, Director Cha," he politely responded. The four men took a seat on the side of the desk that was opposite of where Suho and Lan sat, and Manager Kim took a seat in the chair next to Suho. Although the boy sensed an air of unease and something else - perhaps tension or discomfort - from his manager. He gave Manager Kim a questioning glance, but Mr. Choi didn't seem to notice as he started speaking, again. "So!" he began, lightly clasping his hands together in unison with his voice, "You two will obviously be taking on our two main roles in the film, Seon Jin and Hae-na Han. We will be heading to our first set, next week on Monday, to start filming some of the opening scenes, so od course plan accordingly. To begin, do you have any questions for us, moving forward?" Suho shook his head, responding, "I don't believe I do," then glanced over at Lan Xia, awaiting her answer.

Xie Lan
The Rookie
Lan Xia sat gracefully, her posture as poised as it had been when she first entered, though there was a faint, almost imperceptible shift as Suho spoke. His words were kind, complimenting her in such a thoughtful way, and there was something about the way he had mentioned the director’s reaction that made her heart race just a little. It was a rare and cherished feeling when someone recognized her abilities with such enthusiasm. She couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride, but her smile was calm, her gaze steady as she responded.

“Thank you, Suho-ssi,” she replied, her voice soft, yet clear. “It’s an honor to hear such words from you, especially with someone as experienced as yourself. I hope I can live up to the expectations of everyone involved in this project.” She allowed a gentle pause, ensuring she didn’t seem too eager, maintaining that air of calm humility she was known for. “I’m excited to start filming. It’s a great opportunity.”

When Mr. Choi introduced the men and everyone settled in, Lan nodded politely to the new faces, acknowledging the producers with respectful bows of her head. When her gaze flickered to Director Cha, her expression softened, recalling their earlier meeting. It had been brief, but the man’s intensity had made a lasting impression on her. She was eager to work under his direction and see what he envisioned for the characters they would portray.

As the conversation shifted to the details of the film, she listened intently. The mention of starting the opening scenes next Monday brought a slight flutter to her chest. Filming was finally going to begin.

When Mr. Choi asked if there were any questions, she took a moment to consider before speaking, her voice calm and composed. “I have a few, actually. If you don’t mind.” She paused to glance at the others in the room, ensuring her question was directed to the right people. “Could you provide more information about the tone of the opening scenes? I would love to understand the emotional undercurrent we are aiming for, to ensure that we set the right atmosphere from the start.”

She met Suho’s gaze for a fleeting second, her expression polite but thoughtful, before returning her attention to Mr. Choi and the others. There was something in her question that hinted at a deeper layer of her understanding of the craft – a subtle clue to the commitment she would bring to her role.
