across the country there's been an influx of mysterious strangers
coming in the night to steal pet dogs from their beloved homes,
bringing in boat loads of money as they sell them to unsuspecting
families. thinking they're bringing home a purebred furry friend to
love at a great deal, cutting down on what they'd give to a licensed breeder.
over the past months, only a few of these people were brought to justice
and the lucky furry friends returned to their homes. for the most part, the
law isn't as worried as they really should be. they don't have time to wrangle
up lost pets and have crime to decrease in every state, city, and county.
bigger problems, they say. dedicated pet lovers read and watch the news,
following the stories of the lost pets in the area. there's no shortage of
what they call the dog-snatchers. these people lure the dogs away, having
their eyes mostly on purebred dogs but will take any they can get cash for, even
local street dogs. as long as they can pawn them off. they hop to another town
before anyone notices a pattern and before taking one load to a remote
location, they move to the next and continue the process, gaining
thousands in profit. it's an easy business, but a nightmare for pets and
dog owners alike. find your way home or be forgotten!
