viperstorm's sleek, grey-white bodied figure slithered across the terrain, his short hair evading the sharp
stones littered throughout the meadow. raising his golden gaze, the large and handsome tom peered at
the setting sun. the tainted sky behind the faint tangerine glow arcing the horizon pulsated intense teal,
crimson, violet and magenta clouds stretching across the expanse. reaching his desired destination,
viperstorm's thudding heart seemed to pause for a few beats, refusing to cooperate. sitting back on his
haunches, the stoic tom waited patiently for his guest to arrive.

xxxxxxxx As the sun began to set the shaggy Tomcat venture out of his clan territories to meet his beloved. As the hushed whispers of war filled the air around him he lowered his head and kept forward his head low as the once violet and scarlet colored skies turned dark. Clouds rolled in slowly and in the distance, loud claps of thunder roared over the whispers. Before the war that would soon happen between Thistleclan and Dawnclan he had only one thing on his mind, the Tomcat who he had promised to meet before all hell broke loose between the two clans. As he approached the familiar valley a low murmur roared in his throat as he spotted the tom cat he had fallen in deep for, his amber colored visionaries checking out the tomcat in front of him, mixed emotions running through his head as this could be the last time he sees him. "Viperstorm!" He cried out racing forwards quickly as water cascaded down from the dark clouds above, nearly crashing into the tomcat in front of him he nuzzled his head into his chest,"This war... It's really happening...Dawnclan hasn't stopped talking about it for many days." He pulled his head away. His once fluffy coat now flattened with the rain that poured down onto the two. Thunder roared loudly and lightning lit up the dark valley the two stood in, Phoenix's heart barely able to hit a steady pace this war could be the last of him, even worse the last of either of the clans. Phoenix want's nothing to do with this war but as a loyal warrior of Dawnclan, he must participate even if it costs him his life. "I-I don't want to go...This was my only home my only safe spot, And now I might not get to see it ever again... I might not get to see you ever again..." His head lowered at the thought as he hoped Starclan would heed his cries. As he nuzzled his head into the toms chest again.

❝ 𝐕 𝐈 𝐏 𝐄 𝐑 𝐒 𝐓 𝐎 𝐑 𝐌 ❞

( beneath the gathering clouds which appeared iron clad within the sky, the grey bodied )
tom's figure was illuminated by a ghostly pale outline, already embracing the smaller
and younger tom from the opposing clan. the roaring thunder aroused a scentable fear
to rise within his heart, penetrating his stoic profile. golden gaze drawn back down to
the seeking eyes of phoenixwing, viperstorm said, "my heart betrays the cause of our
violence phoenixwing, i want to hide away here, here where we are safe." his ear flicked
back uncertainly, raindrops now pelting his body. quickly soaken, the white fur lacing
the bridge of his nose now ran a tainted eggshell tone. "m-m-ma-maybe starclan...
maybe starclan...maybe...no," struggling to articulate the various emotions plaguing
his body, the larger tom resorted to pressing his jaw against the flame-fured tom. "i will
see you again...and if not...i will reach you in starclan." overhead, a clap of thunder
and a bolt of lighting struck the stream to which the pair had assembled themselves
for their tragic farewell. ever instinct inside viperstorm's body screamed at him to run
away, but it was the faint warmth emulating from phoenixwing's pressing body which
kept him from departing. "i must go now!" he announced, detaching himself from the
tom, his voice raised to counter the howling winds which assaulted the open terrain.

xxxxxxxx The war raged on, Dawnclan had been outnumbering slightly hisses and moans of the cats around Phoenix as he got ambushed by two of Viperclans larger cats, he let out a bellow as their thorn-like claws raked down his flank. A large tom cat from his group named LionBlaze came to the smaller toms aid as they'd fight the two off. The rain was beating down on both of the clans who viciously attacked one another. After a while of fighting the severely wounded SunStar announced that Dawnclan would retreat, anxiously as cats raced past Phoenixwing he called out for his mate. "Viperstorm!" Being drowned out by the claps of thunder he got scolded and told to follow.

The feathery pelt of the large tom swayed calmly through the breeze as his mouth seemed to move to the name Viperstorm he woke abruptly, small rain droplets hit the top of his head as he stood up, panting again he'd been having this dream for many moons, did it mean something? After a few hacks, he climbed out of his den which lay inside a large hollowed out oak. He'd usually go discuss his dream with the medicine cat but he thought that he'd be annoyed with him after hearing the same story over and over again, so he'd go and discuss it with his Deputy Skybird whom he trusted dearly. He approached the den of his deputy a small meow to signal he'd be outside and he needed to have a talk with him. The sun crept over the mountains that confine the meadow which Dawnclan was nestled in the sky was a light violet as the tom looked around to see who else would be up and about. "Sorry to wake you Skybird, would you mind getting an early patrol together so I can get my mind off of this re-reoccurring dream?" He said softly, it may have been only in his dreams but this war had happened many moons ago and to it, he lost his mate, or so he thought every day mourning the tom he had fallen for. He didn't even know if he was dead but he mourned anyways. His emotionless face started out into the valley which his clan he had re-built from the ground up himself lay peacefully and quietly. Which would soon be back into its busy nature as Phoenixstar had wanted to get out of the camp for a bit with a patrol? Possibly venturing over the small mountain that he'd forbidden his clan from ever exploring just to be safe, but today he was feeling up to the challenge, a little curiosity never killed anybody... right? "We will be venturing to the mountains north of the clan." He said his eyes sliding over to Skybird as he'd finally exit his den. Phoenix barely smiled anymore it was a rare sight for anyone now, as that dream has been haunting him ever since he became the leader of the clan. Without waiting for Skybird Phoenixstar bounded off towards the fallen tree they had used for their clan meetings, waiting for his deputy to join him, he noticed cats beginning to wake up. "Finally," he cooed watching as some cats noticed his presence and joined him sitting underneath the tree. He'd greet them with a small nod acknowledging their presence.

( sting like a bee )

the ghostly bodies of deceased warriors taunted viperstorm's conscious. below the thundering sky, viperstorm strained to hear his beloved phoenixwing. drowned out by the elements fury, the brightly furred tom's voice went unnoticed by viperstorm. returning to thistleclan, viperstorm found leadership thrusted at his blood-stained white paws, his leader, stormstar's blood streaking across the boulders. the crimson liquid pooled by viperstorm's dark tail, staining the fur there too. accepting leadership with a heavy heart and noticeable loss, viperstar vowed to foster a better future for thistleclan. the fate of the clan rested on his new nine lives.

awakening to a light drizzle drumming atop the ceiling of his stone den, viperstar blinked softly, dark and obscure figures materialized hazily before his white paws. there, shrouded partially in a faint yet slanted shadow was a calico peering down at him from the slight incline in the den. "dappleheart?" the bi-colored, blue-grey-white tom questioned wearily, the fatigue and exhaustion still gripping his body. remaining under the attractive influence of the warmth trapped in his den and the comforting scent of a freshly caught mouse at his shoulder, rising up to a grey morning was less than ideal. blinking twice, and then a third time for good measure to dispell the hazy spell across his gaze, viperstar's golden eyes confirmed the identity of the feline observing him. "dappleheart!" he purred, now rising to stretch out. shaking out his fur, the thistleclan leader greeted his medicine cat with nothing less than she deserved. pressing his white muzzle against her cheek while inhaling her mossy scent, viperstar raked his teeth over her ear briefly, another gesture of his affections towards his loyal medicine cat.

sitting back on his paws, viperstar ate the mouse she brought him. "thank you." he said between mouthfuls, licking his chops for good measure. "it's pretty ugly outside," he commented, glancing up at the threateningly grey clouds that possessed the sky above. in the mossy region where thistleclan was nestled, viperstar knew better than to argue with the elements. "i will postpone the warrior ceremony until this evening." since his granting of the sacred nine lives by his predecessors, viperstar was hesitant to reward a warrior status to young blood. given the rising encounters with dawnclan, viperstar thought critically of the warrior ceremonies. each new name promised new blood to be spilled. as the thought occured in his mind, viperstar stared down at the bloody mouse, suddenly disappointed by the meal. "you can have the rest dappleheart," he told her, reaching the mouth of the stone cave, "i need to go out for a little bit, clear my mind. determine if this is worth it. tell ebonyflight to just watch over while i'm gone, but don't go to the trouble of waking her up."

having departed the campsite and traveled beyond the natural arcing rock formation that hovered above a small stream leading north from the hidden clan, viperstar's pelt was fairly dry. the soft drizzle cascading down from above didn't cling to his fast moving figure. driven further away from the daunting choices behind him, the large tom bounded up an approaching slope. his claws digging into the soft moss, he climbed and climbed. reaching the top, viperstar glanced around. he had made his was far away from thistleclan that he could finally address his own personal matters. deep in concentrated thought, viperstar neglected the familiar scent that washed over him. there, only a few rapid fox-lengths away, was a familiar face.

xxxxxxxxThe calico molly was up before sunrise it was natural for her to be awake at that time it's when she collects most of the herbs having them ready for the day to come. After she'd grab the herbs and any other missing component to the med-cat den she'd make her way to the fresh kill pile to share with her friend and leader Viperstar. She'd pick the best-looking mouse from the pile and quietly make her way into the den that was Viperstars, her mossy visionaries lay over his resting body as he began to wake up slurring her name as if he'd been high on catnip. She let out a small chuckle as he apologized for slurring her name "No need to be sorry Viperstar."She purred embracing his gestures of affections towards her, the molly nodded at his thanks along with his comment of that of the light drizzle that began outside. Before being able to say much else the tom bounded out of the den and off to do some thinking, which she respected deeply. "A-alright, I'll let her know."She called out to him. After finishing the mouse the Molly would move towards the Deputies den to wait for her to wake up, still fairly early so she wasn't stuck in her den.

xxxxxxxxAfter waiting for Skybird to join him he allowed him to take over the patrol discussion. "I will be venturing forwards myself, I will meet you all there. Need some time to think." He announced before setting off towards the mountains his paw pads cold from the wet morning dew that lay through the large meadow that divides his clan and the mountains. A light drizzle of rain met his pelt causing it to sleek back more making him look a little smaller than he was his amber eyes scanned the mountain before him, being up closer to it he noticed it was rather mossy and rocky.

As he leaped over some rocks to reach the top he'd look around. The other side of the mountain was nothing like his own being mainly rocks a few trees here and there but mainly mossy, the slate-colored rocks covered in this vibrant lush moss. He couldn't help but push his head against the soft moss a soft purr erupting from his once silent state, the area smelled mainly of moss and wet earth but he couldn't help but notice the familiar scent that laced itself between it.

His ear perked up as he noticed a cat that looked like his old friend approaching the top, noticing the cat it caused Phoenix star to slip behind the rock he had been on. Not looking to pick fights but it looked as though his exploring got carried away and he'd entered another clans territory, not being able to smell any other cats he peaked his head out from behind the rock and inched forwards slowly to get a better look at the cat before him. Being cautious he approached the tom a quiet meow came out as a greeting, "I haven't crossed into any territories have I?" He tilted his head as he stood before the tom. How could he be so careless wandering into a territory of someone else without noticing any signs, too much on his mind to pay attention, "If I have I'll leave, I don't want trouble." He mentioned backing up slightly.
