Personality: She is quiet and unpredictable. Calico is very protective once she calls you friend or family. She is loyal, playful, friendly and clever. Calico can also get aggressive and tough when she feels something is wrong or when she is in a unknown/violent environment.
History (optional): Calicos mother passed away when she was young. Her father is very busy. Calico usually hangs with her brother. She had a pretty good life cept her father is mad at her because she doesnt want to get a mate. Calico could care less about being an alphas daughter.

Personality: Velkan is very brave, loyal, reckless and cynical. He has a big heart and is brutally protective of those who he holds in it. He has double standards. He has a terrible temper, but only when others are trying to harm people he cares about or just being stupid. Velkan hates stupid people. Velkan is very much a flirt and charmer, but once he is in a relationship with a women, he is loyal.
History (optional): He was a little older than Calico when their mother passed away. His father wants him to get a mate and take over the pack, but pretty much has given up on that thought because Velkan has made it clear he could care less.

Name: Kodiak "Kodi"

Rank: Hunter, likely to become the Lead Hunter
Personality: Kodi is a gentle and kind-hearted wolf. He does his best to be as kind and understanding as he can to others, and honestly loves to help his fellow pack mates. He really doesn't understand the whole rivalry thing, but his father's a stickler and very dedicated to the cause, so he does his best to seem only of the Western Pack side. In reality thought, the fighting has been getting to him, especially with his brother moving up in the ranks of the fighters and putting more pressure on Kodi to join them. Sometimes he likes to sneak away and just forget about the whole ugly mess... He really just isn't one for fighting or negativity, which others can see as "weak" in him.
History (optional): Kodi was pack born to the Lead Hunter. There isn't really much to say about his upbringing, aside from the fact that a small pup was found by the borders when he was a year old and was taken in by his family, raised as his adoptive sister.

Personality: This girl is a feisty little spit fire. Her actions are almost completely spontaneous with little to no thought put into them. She's bold and quick to get snappy/sassy when upset, and might even get into a fight if really pushed. Don't get her wrong, she does care for others, she's just really easy to tick off and gets defensive fast. She got this attitude from her older brother Jonas, who she really looks up to. He became a very successful fighter, so she does her best to follow in his paw steps. Her temper and patience level is short, and like a child, she can throw little fits when things don't go according to plan. Aside from this, if you can get past her rough edges, she is a very compassionate wolves and will protect her loved ones with everything she's got, and is loyal to a fault.
History (optional): She was abandoned by her parents for unknown reasons ans found on the pack's borders. The Lead Hunter's family took her in, so she's grown up like a normal child. She actually doesn't know she's adopted.

Velkan crawled out of the huge hollow oak tree. The ground felt cold between his feet, as he looked out toward the field, he saw it was snowing. He shook his fur and saw the running stream had chucks of ice in it. He sighed as he curled back into the hollow of his tree and laid beside his sister Calico.

Calico felt the movement and raised her head and looked at him silently. She sniffed the air and then put her head on Velkans thigh and sighed.

The Rest of the pack was in a nearly cave, but Calico and Velkan had always liked the privacy and warmth of the hollowed tree near the the stream that divided the two packs of this area.

Kodiak rested peacefully at the entrance of the hunter's den, watching the rest of the pack stumble around in the snow outside. His father had yet to decide on hunting plans for everyone, and since it was so cold, no one really felt like trotting out into the heavy snow to go catch a rabbit on their own, so the hunters lazed about camp while they waited. As he sat there and waited, he spotted Jonas and Spice returning from wherever they had been: training with the other fighter, patrolling, etc. Jonas, being the gruff brother he was, separated from Spice and went towards his own clique (much to his sister's dismay, whom greatly admired the Lead Fighter), leaving Spice to come trotting confidently over to Kodi. He smiled at her. "Hey Spice."

"S'up?" The smaller wolf greeted, stopping just a foot in front of her brother and bouncing from side to side enthusiastically. "You're just layin' here?" She tilted her head questionably. "Doesn't that get boring?" Her brother assured her he was fine and didn't mind it, though if she had something to do, he was all ears. The red she-wolf looked up at the grey sky thoughtfully for a moment, then looked back down to her brother. "Ooh!" We wandered near the borders today and it looked like the river was freezing over. Wanna check it out?" Her tongue lolled in a wolfish smile. Kodi seemed hesitant to get so close to the borders, but agreed after Spice assured him they wouldn't be bothered, as long as they stayed on their side. He agreed, then stood up and stepped tentatively out into the snow. "Come on!" The fighter barked, then turned and bolted off in the river's direction, kicking up snow behind her. Kodiak trotted behind her at a safe distance.

Calico began to fidget, she got up and stretched, groaning loudly. "I'm bored Velkan, Lets go down to the river and play with the frozen chunks!" She shook her blonde fur out as it fluffed and puffed. Her mismatched eyes; left one green and right one blue, shined in excitement as she jumped up and down in the freshly fallen snow. She turned and headed toward the river.

Velkan got up after his little sister and also shook out his pitch black fur, specks of snow falling from his body. "Seriously Calico, You do realize that frozen chunks of ice are freezing cold, right?" His golden eyes followed his sister jumping in the snow. Velkan shook his head as he followed Calico. There was no stopping her...so he might as well join her...

As the two began traveling towards the river, Spice much further ahead and much quicker, Kodiak lingering casually behind her, the younger she-wolf began to grow impatient with her brother's slowness, so she looked over her shoulder and smirked teasingly at him. "Y'know, for the future Lead Hunter, you sure are slow." Her brother rolled his eyes.

"I'm not always this slow Spice, I just don't feel like running." He replied patiently, but this did not discourage the younger sibling.

"Okay, fine. You're not slow. You're lazy!" She barked loudly. "In fact, you're so lazy, I bet you can't beat me to the river, even if I just trot!" Glancing at him one last time to gauge his reaction (to her pleasure, he did seem a bit provoked), the she-wolf quickened her pace to a swift trot.

Kodiak was a tad irritated with his sister's tauntings, but he knew better than to take it seriously; she was a playful and impatient wolf. It was in her nature to act this way. As she took off at a quick trot, he smirked and figured he'd play her game. Pausing shortly to let her think he wouldn't do anything, he suddenly took off at full speed, flying through the snow and eventually passing right by his sister, kicking up snow on her smaller body. He heard her bark excitedly behind him, then quicken her pace to catch up, but his legs were longer than her's, making it easier for him to run across the snow. He was swiftly leaving his little sister behind, and a minute or two later, he had already arrived at the river. Panting from the effort, he chuckled some and sat on the banks, waiting for her to arrive. He looked out at the water and noticed there were large bits of ice and frozen slush floating down the current.

Calico ran through the forest, going under one log and then gracefully jumping over another. The cold winter air flowing through her thick uncommonly blonde hair. Her Heterochromia eyes scanned in front of her. She reached the river first and stopped at the waters edge. She looked at the ice chunks in the water. She sat down and looked at them slowly floating by, waiting her for her brother to catch up.

Velkan slowly trotted behind his sister. Calico finally came into view, he looked farther down the river and saw a another wolf. He raised his hackles to himself. Calico hadn't seemed to notice them yet, he came up behind her and whispered, "Cali, we need to go."

Calico raised her head, "uh why?"

The black wolf's golden eyes looked over at the wolf, "Western Wolf." was all her said before looking back at his sister.

Calico shook her head, " And we are Southern Wolves, so what? Father always says we have a rivalry going on, but we dont even see much of them, or any other wolves besides our own pack..."

Velkan rolled his eyes, "And lets keep it that way. Lets go, Calico!" He raised his voice a little at the end.

Calico stood up and defiantly said, "No!" and swiped her paw in the water, making it splash at her brother.

Kodiak sighed a little to himself as he waited, eventually lowering himself to the ground and allowing his paws to dangle over the raised banks edge. The corners of his lips turned up into an amused smile as he pictured little Spice somewhere back there, panting and flopping to the ground from over exerting herself. She'll catch up soon. He reassured himself, then calmly watching the bits of ice floating downstream. He didn't quite know why she thought it would be fun to come watch ice, but he figured he'd be spending time with her all the same. If she was happy, he was happy. I just hope she doesn't do something stupid... He thought with a faint groan, picturing the little russet wolf lunging into the freezing river for "fun".

Perking his ears to some odd sounds, he lifting his head up and looked down the river, then squinted his eyes to see two wolves on the opposite bank. For some reason, it took him a moment to realize they were form the other pack. He felt his heart pound faster and his stomach clench with dread, hoping they wouldn't be a threat. Watching them now with shoved-forward ears and wide eyes, he noticed they seemed to be focusing primarily on each other. Then paler one, a she-wolf probably, looked upset, and splashed the darker one with water. Wait, did the darker one look at Kodiak? The hunter's ears swiveled back with unease as he slowly hauled himself up to his paws and kept his head low, trying not to attract further attention. Just then, as he heard the confident trotting of paws behind him in the snow, he remembered with a feeling of extreme worry that his loud, arrogant little sister was right behind him, and had finally caught up.

Panting, the russet she wolf approached her brother and stopped beside him, unaware he was focusing on something else. "Alright, alright, so you can beat me. You didn't need to be such a show off, yeesh." As normal, the she-wolf's voice was loud and proud, unaware of the wolves down the river. Kodi caught the feeling she'd be just as loud, even if she knew they were there.

"Spice, quiet down." The male barked urgently. She titled her head.

"Why?"

"Doesn't matter. Look, there's the ice, really cool. Now let's get back to the pack. Father's probably figured out what he wants to do with the hunters and might be looking for me, and I'm sure you could find some fighter's to train with..." Unfortunately, the she-wolf didn't seem to agree.

"Hey, c'mon! We JUST left! What's with the sudden rush?" She growled at him.

"I just think we should... Go..." Kodiak pinned his ears back and looked away. Spice was ever stubborn, however, and suddenly had another playful smirk on her face.

"Alright... But you'll have to drag me back!" She laughed, then suddenly took off down the bank, closer to the Southern Pack wolves.

"SPICE!" Kodiak barked, then sped off after her.
