katherine slowly rolled over, in bed, waking up. it was in the
middle of her third month being in the foster home, and she didn't like it, not
one bit. she didn't have any of her pets around her, none of her friends were
there for her to hang out with and spend time with, and most of all, she didn't
have her parents.
kat missed her parents, and was quite angry at the woman who called child
services and said that her parents weren't abusing her. her parents never
touched her or her brother, so she didn't understand why she was there.
maybe her parents did yell a little too often, and maybe they did call her
names when she didn't do things right, but katherine believed that was only
to make her a better person. they weren't trying to harm her in any way.
it didn't matter to her anyway, as she was quite sure that they'd come along
and get her and her brother soon, everything would be resolved, and they'd
go back to being the happy family they were.
sighing, katherine slowly got out of her bed, rubbing her eyes as she padded
to the front of the house, entering the kitchen. going into the pantry, she
grabbed a random box of cereal, then proceeded to receive a clean bowl
and spoon from the dishwasher and a gallon of milk from the fridge.

payton goryunov
╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
payton groaned, sitting straight up in his bed. he had been up all
night, unable to sleep. he wasn't fond of the idea of sharing a room with a
person he barely knew, he didn't like that his parents weren't with him, and he
certainly did not like the idea of being in foster care. he had been here for a
couple of months already, but he hated it. it wasn't the people he wasn't fond
of, as majority of them were nice. it was the fact that when he went back
home -which, he knew was definitely going to happen- his peers would look
at him as the kid who went to foster care and had abusive parents. payton
didn't want that.
payton was stressed out, to say the least. he didn't know what to do, and
even though this place had become his home for over the past few months, he
was just looking forward to the day he and his sister left. groaning, he quietly
rolled out of bed, changing out of his pajamas and into his day clothes, then
proceeded to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
going back into his room, payton grabbed the soccer ball his parents had given
him for his birthday the past year. if was worn and a little faded, but payton
didn't care. tucking it under his arm, payton walked outdoors (not before
stopping in the kitchen to say "hello" to his sister first) and to the backyard,
kicking the ball around.

fable ramone
╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
fable woke up with a start. she was happy, per usual. there was a place out
in town that she wanted to explore with one or more of the other kids, as
she felt she didn't know them as well as she should. they were foster siblings,
after all, and they needed to know a little bit about them (well, in fay's case,
a lot about them).
due to the fact that she had lived at this foster home majority of her short life,
fable didn't think anything was wrong or weird about it. in fact, she believed
that her foster parents were her actual parents, no matter how many times
they told her they weren't. the little girl found it strange that children around
her age and older came and went from the foster home, some she was happy
of their departure, others not. fay didn't understand why the children who
arrived here always had something... off about them. they were either too
quiet and reserved, or off the chain and angry. she didn't like it at first and
complained, but after realizing that there was nothing she could do to change
it, fable started to act friendly towards the other kids, telling them about places
to go around town and -to a select few- her super secret hiding spots.
jumping out of bed, fable ran over to isabella's side of the room, hopping
on her bed. "c'mon, wake up, bella, get up! it's morning time," she yelled,
shaking the other girl whom she had not known long.
