These Little Talks - Seeking Role-player

If you're wanting to role-play the caretaker and/or the ghost (I highly suggest taking them both, since the ghost will be possessing the caretaker later on), please message me your forms. They don't have to be long at all, just the basics- name, age, personality, and a brief history, especially for the ghost. Mind you, this role-play will be semi-literate: at least two paragraphs per character.

The screams all sound the same

Sarah, a girl with one too many personalities, is taken in by ___, a generally kind man with a temper. In the old house, she meets ---, the restless ghost, and the two later fall in love. All the while, ___ is getting glimpses of Jade, the secondary personality and cause of Sarah's so-called insanity. They, too, develop feelings for one another, but for how long? The limits of each individual are tested through many trials- Sarah's inability to control her astral projection and Jade's ability to 'take control' at any moment can confuse the men, while ---'s possessions of ___ can leave little time for Jade. When the state tries to take Sarah away, how will they all react? Will Sarah give her life to be with ---, leaving her body to Jade, or will --- take over Ryder's body indefinitely? What happens if Jade decides to take over indefinitely, or ___ gets rid of ---?
Only time will tell the secrets of this old house.

Hopefully you'll be able to tell the point of this role-play from what you read above, but if not, here's another short explanation:

This is set in a random place at a time that has attributes of both modern times and older times. For example, there are no cell phones but there are cars. There are phones, though they are the ones with the turning dial. The fashion is from earlier times, men wearing suits and women covering their skin with long dresses. People who are deemed insane are partnered with a 'caretaker' of some sort, someone of no relation to them who has volunteered to kind of foster them. This is where we find our characters meeting. I would like to start out with Sarah having been living with the caretaker for a short amount of time, perhaps a week. She has not yet started noticing strange things happening as far as paranormal activity, but she will eventually. Likewise, the caretaker doesn't yet realize Sarah has Jade, a second personality. He will though, don't worry, but in the mean time he will just think she's crazy, as he's been told. Later on in the role-play, the ghost will realize that Sarah can see and hear him at times, while the caretaker will begin getting glimpses of Jade. After a while, the ghost and Sarah will start liking each other while the caretaker will start liking Jade. Jade will find that she can force herself up front to take control of Sarah's body to spend time with the caretaker, the ghost will learn that he can possess the caretaker, and Sarah's soul will eventually be able to leave her body when she sleeps. Just when things start going well though, the state will decide to place her with a new caretaker because of how 'close' she and her current one seem to be getting. Also, in the mean time there should be all sorts of drama and tension.

Saraphenia Campbell, pronounced "Sarapheena" goes by Sarah to those who know her. Well, specifically Jade, since she's the only one who's really bothered getting to know her. Even though she is eighteen years old, she lives with her caretaker ___ in an old house, one that creeps her out and intrigues her at the same time.

Sarah is rather shy, unable to trust right off the bat because of several things that have happened in her past. After all, because she's 'crazy', she has no say in what happens to her. She has episodes at times, periods of depression or moments of manic behaviors, but rarely hurts anyone other than herself. This isn't to say that she's a Sally Sobs-a-lot; on average, Sarah's a rather happy young lady. She enjoys moments of peace, but loves the company of a kind soul. Intelligent conversations are something she looks forward to, as well as reading and writing her stories. Her smile is something of soft beauty, the whispered sigh of a newborn butterfly; something one should not take for granted. Her heart, though she shields it so, is big and warm, ready to be filled with love.

Sarah was deemed insane at a young age when she created Jade, a secondary personality, as a way to escape what was happening at her home. Even though she was classified as mentally unstable, she was not removed from her home until she was twelve years old, but by that time the damage was done. Placed in different care facilities, it wasn't until she was seventeen that she was moved to a caregiver's home rather than an institution. She and that caregiver didn't get along though, and she was eventually moved once again. That's how she ended up here. She arrived a mere five days ago, just long enough to get settled in but not long enough to belong. So far, she isn't sure what she thinks about the place she's been moved to.

Jade was created by Sarah while she was a little girl. Trauma to her childlike mind pushed Sarah to need an escape, and through it Jade was born. When Sarah needed a break from reality or things were too bad for her to handle, Jade would take over and deal with things for her. She was constantly standing up for the child, be it at home or at school. They grew to love each other as sisters, twins perhaps. Sarah used to talk about her to people freely, not understanding what the problem was, but Jade soon realized it and warned her of the consequinces. It was too late though, and Sarah was deemed insane. Since, doctors and caretakers have been telling Sarah that Jade isn't real, that's she's only hurting Sarah. It bothers Jade, and she makes it known.
