personality ;; Quiet by nature, Ruelle generally prefers not to engage in idle chatter as other wolves are wont to do. She does not trust easily, being wary and suspicious of strangers, and is most comfortable alone or with a few close friends. Nevertheless, she is sweet and kind when amongst her pack, never hesitating to volunteer a helping paw, and even speaking kindly to the omegas. In times of trouble, she is intelligent and brave, and will take care to plan her moves before taking action. Ruelle is not one to believe in violence or threats, instead preferring to find a peaceful solution to conflict. She is strongly loyal to her pack and extremely protective of her loved ones, even to the point of possessiveness.

history ;; Ruelle was born in another pack during a time of turmoil, for a young male had killed the Alpha and declared himself leader. A rebellion opposing his leadership was staged, but her parents and littermates were killed in the battles that ensued. Injured and weak, Ruelle managed to escape with a few other young wolves from her pack. Eventually, they parted ways,and she wandered alone for almost a year before joining name's pack. Ruelle harbours a deep hatred towards wolves who attempt to overthrow their Alpha and works silently to keep her current pack stable.

appearance ;; Ruelle is a medium-sized, long-legged wolf with a slender physique. Clearly built for speed and endurance, she does not possess the bulk that other wolves, especially brutes, like to throw around. She is by no means weak, however, and her hindquarters are reasonably well-muscled. Her soft, thick fur is a smooth blend of shades from palest silver to gray, emphasising her striking golden eyes.

family ;; Her parents and littermates are dead; she has no other known living kin.

love life ;; Due to her tumultuous past, Ruelle has had little time for crushes or mates. No mate means no pups, but Ruelle does have a secret desire to raise litter or two in the future.

likes ;; Ruelle enjoys watching the stars at night, for it gives her a sense of peace and calm that she doesn't often experience in the day with the pack. She does prefer time alone occasionally, not to think or plan but simply to clear her mind and relax. Nevertheless, she loves caring for her packmates and playing with the pups. Ruelle is a good hunter and she knows it; she particularly enjoys the the thrill of the chase and the finality of the kill.

dislikes ;; Due to her bad experience with ambitious wolves, Ruelle is extremely suspicious of wolves who yearn for higher positions. Being an independent, intelligent fae, pushy brutes aren't her taste either as she does not appreciate being ordered around for no reason. Loud noises annoy her, while strangers and unnerve her, especially if she does not know their intentions.

talents ;; Ruelle has excellent speed, stamina and agility, which is aided by a less bulky physique. She also has quite a talent for huntin, for more often than not she is able to predict the movements of prey beforehand. Quiet yet confident, Ruelle has the potential for a leadership position, with the ability to inspire loyalty in her packmates as well as the protectiveness of a ferocious mother for her pups.

downfalls ;; Ruelle can often overly suspicious and paranoid of strangers even before speaking to them. However, being rather reserved and quiet, she has difficulty expressing her feelings and thoughts to others, be it her wariness of the unknown or fear of rebellion within the pack. Her slender frame also puts her at a disadvantage in close combat, especially against larger brutes.

personality ;; Being a sociable wolf, Averill is usually cheerful and enjoys engaging in games such as tag with his companions. He has quite the weakness for pretty faes, and likes to think that his (debatable) quick wit is a hit with the opposite gender. Despite his often-childish behaviour, he is intelligent and brave when it counts, with the potential to take charge in emergencies. In contrast to his cheerful demeanour, Averill enjoys the rush of battle and will not hesitate to kill his opponent if necessary, but he is still able to remain level-headed during a brawl. He is strongly loyal and highly protective of any pack that he is a part of.

history ;; Born in name's pack, Averill enjoyed a comfortable puphood with his sister and brother. He was groomed to be the a powerful fighter of the pack, a position which he anticipated with pride. However, the unexpected fire that swept through the forest one night killed his parents and brother. With only his sister and pack for comfot, Averill followed his pack in search of a new territory.

appearance ;; Averill is a large, stocky wolf with a well-muscled physique. His thick fur is pale cream in colour, except on his back and the top of his head where it is a blend of soft grey and brown. Averill’s soulful, dark amber eyes are key to understanding his emotions, and usually convey his kind, joyful disposition. His size alone is often intimidating enough to deter enemies from attacking, and it is indeed rare that he ever has to utilise his strength against others.

family ;; His parents brother were killed in a forest fire; he has one sister, Mirri.

love life ;; Averill has never had a mate, but one thing he does have is a large interest in faes. Ever the typical brute, however, Averill has given no thought to pups at all.

likes ;; Averill loves to play as much as any pup, even though he's long outgrown being a pup at all. His favourite season is winter, simply because he loves to play in the snow, burying himself and scaring packmates who pass by. He loves to swim in the summer, especially on hot days when his thick pelt makes him feel stuff and irritable. An incorrigible flirt, Averill enjoys bantering with faes and trying to amuse them, as long as they have the patience for his bounciness. About the only useful thing he likes to do is hunt, mostly because he likes to eat as well.

dislikes ;; Despite his flair for battle, Averill hates conflict between packmates and will often try to stop any fights going on. He fears sickness, which will rob him of his strength, and fire, which took his first pack and family from him.

talents ;; Averill's bulky frame and brute strength gives him an immense advantage in close combat, while his stamina often allows him to outlast his opponent in a long battle. Surprisingly, he has quite the head for planning intricate battle tactics and strategies that often work.

downfalls ;; Averill is occasionally impulsive, and that has gotten him injured or in trouble more than once. He is also overly trusting of strangers, easily welcoming them with his open attitude without thinking of the consequences.

personality ;; Kris is extremely cynical and hostile, as well as wary and suspicious of other wolves, be they packmates or strangers. He can be overly paranoid and suspicious of anything unknown, and will not hesitate to use his teeth and claws on a stranger. He sees violence as a necessary skill of life, and is perfectly content to live unbothered a distance from the pack. Unprovoked, however, Kris is usually merely solemn and reserved, and enjoys spending his time stalking unsuspecting prey.

history ;; Bullied from young as a pup after his parents died, Kris quite naturally fit into the role of an omega. This has made him almost perpetually bad-tempered and angry.

appearance ;; Kris is tall, lean wolf with a jet black coat. He is medium in size, with a fine soft coat and unusual speed. His bright amber eyes, usually glowing with malice or anger, stand out shockingly from the dark tone of his sleek coat. His glossy fur has mostly grown back over the various found on his body.

likes ;; Kyiera is a very night-oriented wolf. She could spend all day just looking out at the stars and consulting the moon (well, not really consulting, but you get the point). However, despite seeming to be very solitary, she is actually quite the opposite - she loves conversing with her packmates, and she tries not to let them feel like they're much too inferior to her. Sure, she leads them, but what use is a leader if her pack won't listen to her? Also, one of Kyiera's most loved things is water - namely, bodies of water. And she loves running.

dislikes ;; Nothing much irritates Kyiera - it comes with her calm personality, but there is one thing she dislikes - when her pack doesn't listen to her. Fortunately, that has only happened once.

downfalls ;; Kyiera's main downfall is her huge temper. It takes a lot of effort to her her anger up to the highest possible level, but when she snaps, all hell breaks loose, so don't anger her.

talents ;; Being an Alpha, Kyiera has excellent leadership qualities which she never exploits unless absolutely necessary. Due to her swiftness and strength, she can beat most wolves at their own game, especially rogue ones who attempt to take the pack from her.

Ruelle's lungs burned with every breath she took, but she turned back to look at their burning home once the pack reached the top of the ridge anyway. Just the previous day, she'd been hunting among those trees and bathing in those streams. She couldn't really believe their home was gone. Her voice hoarse, Ruelle turned to gaze at Kyiera and asked, "Where to now?"

Kris trotted along the outer ring of the pack, his black coat spotted with ash. All he felt was disdain for the folorn faces he saw around him; they were alive, and that was all that mattered. It was better to be alone like he was, without family or friends to lose, then he would never be hurt. His ears were pricked as he climbed the slope, his hindpaw aching slightly where he'd been bitten lightly the previous day.

Kyiera raced up the ridge as well - she was behind the rest of her pack, making sure that they all got up safely. A particularly loud crackle caused her to turn back and she quickly shot forward to avoid a falling tree. From her position, she spotted Accalia struggling to get up one of the rocks and offered her assistance before bounding up til she was next to her beta. Upon hearing Ruelle's question, she gazed sadly at their now-destroyed home. "We have to move - we'll follow the moon, for she never guides us wrong," she said. Once she could see no more movement from the ground below, she took a quick head count - if one of them had been lost to the fire, she would never forgive herself.

Randir had been one of the first to reach the ridge and could only stare down as the trees fell while the red-hot flames ate them up. He had been living with the pack all his life, and he had never thought that it would go down like this - not because of some mere accident.

Chaser, one of the most bitter wolves in their pack, follow the others, grunting all the way. If it hadn't been for the fire, then they would never have to move. Moving would mean that they would have to get used to a completely new area, meaning new scents, new sights - he didn't like change. But if he wanted to live, he had to suck it up and take it like the brute that he is.

With a shake of her pelt, she said briskly, "Let's move out before the fire spreads." She raised her voice so the pack could hear, picking her way carefully across the stony ground.

Kyiera allowed her beta to lead the pack; as alpha, she would stay at the back to make sure no one fell behind. Ruelle was smart, she knew what to do. Her blue eyes swept across the destruction that was now behind them before she trotted forward - it was no use thinking about what had happened - the only thing they could do now was hope that a new home would come to them soon. The smell of burning wood filled her nostrils as she continued walking.
