Tarce the guardian ♂
Name- Tarce
Gender- Male♂
Short Description- A skinny, small winged fox. His coat is composed differing shades of blue and his eyes, pawpads, and wing tips glow red in darkness.
Long Description- Tarce is a lanky demonic fox. He is about four feet at the shoulder; he is no small creature. He is slightly longer than tall, not including tail. His ears are large, erect, and have a very small amount of fur on them. His neck and chest area are his fluffiest area, most of the rest of his body is hairless or short furred. He has large, powerful claws.
Tarce's eyes are very large and he has excellent night vision. Because of his luminescence in the dark he often had a hard time hunting at night, until he figured out how to 'turn it off'. Tarce can alter his skin in such a way that he will not glow.
Tarce's has wings, but they are not large enough to support flight. He can glide for a short amount of time if he gets a running start, though.
Personality- Tarce is a brave and loyal fox. He is quite brilliant, although rather dark and mischievous as well. He enjoys tricking anyone who pesters him or comes too close on a dark night. He is often quite bored and spends a lot of time scheming on how his next prank will work. Because of all this time, Tarce has many puzzles, riddles, and tricks hidden under his skin. His senses are excellent; Tarce can smell, hear, and see much better than any normal fox. Tarce can be quite violent, but he is also very peaceful at other times. He uses the same excuse for most of his fighting, that he is going for "the greatest and final peace." He does not fight for peace, though, he fights for himself and his own gains. Tarce hates being mistaken for a Kitsune of legend, he holds a grudge against the magical creature for one reason or another, even though he is very similar.
History- Tarce has a simple history. He is a demon, as said. He was not born a demon, though. At one point, Tarce was a normal fox. He was overcome by mange, though, and eventually caught an infection from the disease. He died not long after that. His body lay in a forest of Japan for about two days before a demon spirit needing a host came upon the corpse. The demon saw the body and immediately attempted to steal the skin. A nearby spirit saw the scene, though, and stopped the demon in such a way that half of the soul was the demon's and the other half was the original fox's (Tarce's). Although Tarce's normal body underwent massive changes, he no longer looked like himself, half of his spirit was his own. The demon's spirit merged with Tarce's spirit to make one combined spirit that contained/combined both personality traits. The demonic side was strong, though, and Tarce became quiet the troublemaker. After a while of small incidents he went after a temple for a certain forest spirit. He was defeated by the spirit and, as punishment, was forced to become the temple's new guard. The spirit of the temple vanished, though, and he was set free.
