" Hey, Cas- Watch this!" Shouted the six year old wizard.
"Whats that, Zephyrus?"
"Come look!!" He said enthusiastically, as Cassie approached Zeph, who was creating sparks with his hands.
"What is it now? Another magic trick?"
"No, it's way cooler!"
The little boy created a spark, which ignited a small fire in the designated fire pit.
"Wat. A fire, on a tree house? Is that safe? Your parents won't like that!" Said Cassie.
"Oh, come on Cas! Don't be like that! This tree house is perfectly fire...er... proof! Fireproof!" Zephyrus said, feeling rather proud of himself.
Zephyrus sat down, his legs swung over a branch- suspended about 30 feet in the air.
"Coming?" Said the little boy, chuckling. Cassie joined him momentarily.
Zephyrus ignited another ball of fire, as he and Cassie marveled as it danced around the palm of his hand.
The ball of fire then fell out of his hand, igniting overhanging moss- that was hanging off the branch.
Cassie quickly extinguished the small flame, with a the hem of her skirt. "Always fixing your problems, aren't I? One of these days you'll need to teach me some of that fancy magic of yours!" She said, smiling kindly at Zeph, who had spent the last few seconds trying to steady himself of the branch. He nearly fell backwards, until Cassie put her hand behind his back- keeping him up on the branch.
"Hey- It's okay, I've got you." She spoke quickly, and earnestly.
"T-thanks." Zeph stuttered shyly- looking down.
"Hey, Don't be embarrassed." She said kindly "I'll always be here for you. always." She spoke with intent, as she softly layed her hand onto of Zephyrus'.
LIES. He heard, as the world around him began to rumble and quake with such momentum that Zeph felt like he was going to fall out of the tree.
The memory around him began to melt away, into darkness.
W-what? What's going on? Zeph said, alarmed.
She's a liar. Look what you did. Look what she did. She lieeed. Do you know why? Said the voice.
Zeph spun around on his heels.
There it was.
The origin of the voice.
It was... Zephs Shadow?
Because you let her get taken. You let her die. It's your fault she's dead. Spoke the voice, harshly with Malice.
But she's not dead! She's not! She's here, with us! She's alive!
No, she isn't. It's not her. It's not the same Cassie. It's not the one you abandoned, left to die- years ago.
It is! And it's not my fault! I didn't leave her! I had no choice!
But it was your fault! You were weak! You could have stopped it! But you didn't! And then she didn't come back for you. Because you didn't help her.

No! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Zeph screamed, as the shadow laughed devilishly.

Zeph jolted awake, sitting up in his bed.
He was in a cold-sweat, and gasping for air- It seemed that his "Magic Vision" had initiated, so he was seeing all sorts of energies that collected around the room, including two null spaces, with intricate particles floating around them.
He immediately got up- careful to avoid everyone- threw on his cloak, and went out into the cold, brisk, morning air.
He leaned against a wall as he collected his thoughts.
I-its not true. It's not.
