............Luka hadn't paid attention to anything she had said. Only about geography and regions. ''Oh, that, I've already done it. I kind of.. asked her what Project we were doing, so I got it ahead of time.'' He said, Shrugging like it was nothing big. He looked at the tv and chuckled at the show. ''Ridiculousness, huh? Never heard of that.'' He muttered, looking at the screen and watching the show. He couldn't help but move to the chair and lay down in it. ''If your hungry, don't. Open. The fridge.'' He said. He thought about it for a second. ''Don't open the freezer either, for that matter.'' He added, looking out the window. ''If you want food, order it from the local resturaunt, and I'll run down and get For you.'' He stated, closing his eyes and sighing deeply.

Kacey wondered why not to open the fridge. She had one idea. It was extremely messy. Kacey had stuff in the lunch she had decided to pack herself so she figured she wouldn't make him go out of his way to get them. "Can I use you phone?" she asked politely. "Please" she added out of pure habit. Kacey wondered what her dad would say if he answered, if he didn't, it would be like the saying no news is good news. Kacey shifted on the couch and tucked her legs up and sat on her feet, her typical comfortable pose.

............ he smiled, watching her, before returning to the tv, once again. "sure, why not. go right ahead." he said, pointing to the phone on the counter. he didn't mind her using the phone, as long as it wouldn't be traced, which it couldn't. he sighed and closed his eyes, falling asleep. he rolled over, and buried his head under the pillows on the couch and covered his head with the blanket. all of it. you'd think he'd suffocate, but this is how he slept on a normal basis. actually beginning to snore, a soft and almost unheard snore, you'd see his leg or arm twitch every so often. and maybe a little growl, every few minuets.

Picked up the phone, dialing her fathers cell phone number and listening to the tones. Her heart slowly sunk with anxiety while she waited before he picked up. "Where are you?" He asked, loud enough to be heard from outside the phone. "I am at a friends house" she answered blatantly. "You should have told me first before I told your mother" "I am only ten minutes late" She defended herself. "Be home shortly" He father said quieter. "I will come home when I feel like it alright?" She could hear footsteps behind her fathers voice. "No you'll come home now" her father said. Kacey just hung up the phone, turning around to find Luka completely buried under a blanket. She wondered if she should go home right now, she didn't want to disturb him.

............ luka groaned in his sleep. "too dark, not leaving.... cellar, pantry....." he muttered, rolling over onto his back, not that you'd notice besides the leg sticking out from under the blanket and the arm now over the back of the couch. he quieted down, before sitting up, not thinking to take off the blanket. "call come through? what'd they say?" he asked, pulling the blanket off of his face, revealing tired eyes, and shaggy hair. he yawned and laid down on the couch again, resting his head on the pillow, and half-closing his eyes.

Kacey watched him before sitting down in a free spot on the couch. "I called my dad, told him, hung up on him and know he is probably going to call in about a half an hour and say he wants me to come back" Kacey though for a second. "the sad part was when I mentioned at a friends house, he didn't notice, he knows I don't have friends, well that I hadn't just made today" she didn't know how to word that to not offend him. She hoped he didn't take offence.

............ luka looked at her with a smile on his face. "well, parents are parents. but when he calls give me the phone, and i'll talk to him. or at least put him on speaker phone." he said, yawning once more. he flinched, almost growling. "didn't make your day? must have made his day to know you have at least one friend." he muttered, relaxing again before sighing. "one that would kill his own best friends, or they use to be anyways, if they or anyone ever tried to hurt you." he added, sitting up finally, to get some blood pumping to his brain at least.

Kacey looked down at her hands bashfully. He was sweet, not in a romantically attracted way, sweet like a baby sitter things about the angel of a child they babysit. Kacey knew he probably would defend her, like he had done when she was being chased. Thinking about it made Kacey's jaw ache. She wondered if she had a bruise right on the under side of her chin. She was relieved that the taste of blood had gone from her mouth after she gulped down a half a bottle of water. "Your very kind" she said finally after thinking about how to word it.

............ Luka nodded, smiling at her. ''Don't let that go to your head. I'm not the sweetest person here.'' He said, watching her closely. ''Kacey, I forgot to ask. Are you alright? I had notcied you trip in the alley. Are you ok?'' I asked her softly, tilting her chin up with a finger, trying to be as gentle as possible. He looked at it, narrowing his eyes. ''They chased you and you ended up getting hurt because of them..... I'll pound their faces in anyways.'' He growled, bearing his fangs in Anger, and slight agitation.

Kacey looked up at him. "Better" she said, "tender feeling, and I think I bit my cheek off" she said. She exaggerated to get her point where she thought it should be. She leaned back away from his hand and gently poked her jaw, trying to pinpoint where there was going to end up getting a bruise. The corners of her lips formed a little smile.
