Spiderstar uneasily watched the other cats talk about murderers, and war. He didn't talk about them, but instead turned to the leader of Blueclan. "I would like to ask you if you would like for Blueclan to be allies with Swallowclan." he said, looking at the she cat. He turned to the other cats that had said to be looking for allies. "the invitation goes for Quarzclan and Lotusclan as well, of course." the Tom said.

stonestar stepped forward, his head held high and his gaze unwavering. "brookclan has been doing well. harekit is ready to start his training, and his apprentice ceremony will be soon. we offer an alliance to lotusclan and swallowclan. that is all."

hawkfeather decided to go in the deputies group, just for once. he sat down near a chatting group of cats, hoping they'd notice him and invite him into the conversation.

cherryseed let out a small purr of happiness. "i'm longing to get a new apprentice, riversong has learned everything she needs to know."

riversong flicked her tail in a goodbye to her new friend. "firefang...i hope we meet again." she whispered to herself, feeling a curious tingling in her chest.

thistlefang sat quietly in a corner, calmly grooming his fur. maybe if he waited, someone would come to talk to him.

mistbreeze and nightstrike sat together in a calm spot, their pelts brushing. with mistbreeze's kits occupied with their training, the pair finally had some time to themselves.

ivystep walked around the gathering place with bearnose, trying to find a spot where to sit down with a cat to talk to.

sunstream gazed at all the cats around her, trying to find a familiar face. maybe she could see falconflower again?

Talonstar speaks up. "I'm afraid my Clan and I can't take sides on this. For one, we're still growing, and for two, I can't afford to lose cats. Not when Mottledlight is carrying kits. If we're attacked and even two of us are away helping with the war, she'd be on her own." He seems to have a soft spot for the queen. Turning to Tawnystar, he dips his head. "I would be happy to accept your offer of alliance, and yours as well," he adds, turning to Spiderstar.

The mentioned tortoiseshell curls her tail around herself in a protective gesture, and Turtlefur nudges her lightly in assurance.

Snowheart and Nightfeather, who are still together relatively close to the rock, are talking quietly, though listening to everything that's being said by the leaders.

"Oh thank you Robinstar! Thank you!" Sorrelstar gushed, letting out a sigh of relief as she was justified by another cat's agreement. Then she turned to the Caveclan leader, her oldest ally, with more confidence than before. "If you do not wish to believe my eyewitnesses then believe me. I smelt her on him, I saw her fur under Skunkbrush's claws. I am not a foolish cat Morningstar, well, sometimes I am I guess, but I would not start a war without proof. And leaving Tumbleclan with a murderer as a healer is worse than leaving them with none at all." Her war was with Russetleaf after all, and not with Tumbleclan, surely the others would understand.

"Am I supposed to go with her?" Even now, Sleetfoot was uncomfortable with his position as deputy, and he shifted his paws awkwardly as he watched Sorrelstar and her entourage disappear. He probably was, backing their leader was something deputies did right? "Cedarslash, what do you think?" The tom nudged his mate who startled back into reality with a, "Hmm?" Sleetfoot searched her russet face as it turned to him, reading into the tired etched lines. "Are you okay? You seem pretty out of it." Cedarslash nodded haltingly. "Yeah," she breathed, "Just tired. I'll ask Skun- Asptail about it later." Sleetfoot's woory was far from assuaged but he pressed against her side and mewed, "Okay, well I think I'll stick with you then. Unless you don't want me to?" The she-cat snickered, "Oh no! Anything but Sleetfoot the feline burr!" She thwacked his side goodnaturedly and made as to push him off. He retaliated by leaning heavily against her. "Haha! You can't get rid of me that easily! You're stuck with me!" But Cedarslash gave a gasp and toppled over, dragging her mate down with her. But the grin on her muzzle said she was alright.

After a long journey in which Burntsoul was practically plastered to his side, chatting on about who knows what, Webwing was actually very relieved when she stalked off to go play witness. Immediately he felt guilty for the thought, Burntsoul didn't exactly have any friends besides him, and Malloweyes's didn't count. But sometimes even the nearly deaf tom couldn't hear himself think around her, and now she was pressing closer and closer and it was weird. The warrior found himself scanning the gathering for a sign of a familiar face in the crowd. With the spiders all hiding out for the winter Webwing had taken to frost fortune telling, and the cold swirls had told him that hanging out with Smoothpaw more wouldn't be a bad idea.

Barkknot wasn't sure why Sparksong was following her around, surely the chatty she-cat would have had better things to do, like stay back at camp with Claywhistle or something. For some reason through she had begged to come to the gathering and then decided to tail poor Barkknot who would really just like her to go away please. "So how do gatherings usually go? We're supposed to make friends yeah? Claywhistle told me all about the game but Sorrelstar doesn't seem to be playing it. o you have a lot of out of clan friends?" Ignoring everything that was spewing out of the orange tabby's mouth didn't seem to be an effective strategy, so Barkknot sighed and finally gave an answer. "No, just one." Just thinking about Tanglestep made her feel a little giddy, and the warrior began to actively search the clearing for any sign of the muscular tom.

tawnystar nodded to spiderstar, and with a pleased tone she replied. "blueclan accepts your proposal of alliance." she tried to smother her excited expression with a poker face. she hoped the other clans would offer their paws in friendship as well, but at least she had made at least one new ally here. hearing talonstar accept her proposal filled her with a certain glee, and she stifled the purr rumbling in her chest. she turned to sorrelstar and said, "our clan is small, but you were the first clan to offer friendship to us. blueclan will help you in any way possible, as long as my kits are not harmed."

Morningstar studied Sorrelstar for a few moments, thinking. "Very well Sorrelstar. When the time comes, Caveclan will send aid." He gazed over the clan, his gaze resting on each of his clanmates. With the war, Caveclan risked losing clanmates. "I hope your right about this Sorrelstar." He murmured quietly.

Woolyfur with the deputies

"We're fine. A new apprentice joined us recently." Woolyfur told them. "She'll make a fine warrior when she's older. Tigerkit and Willowkit keep insisting we make them warriors because she's a moon older than them. They're five moons and she's six." He chuckled softly, amused.

Shadedleaf with the medicine cats

"That's great. I'm sure she'll be a wonderful medicine cat." Shadedleaf told her. "Cloudpool's hoping for an apprentice too. None of the kits have shown any interest in the medicine den but Poppykit and Stormkit are young. He's hoping they'll end up being interested in being a medicine cat." Shadedleaf's gaze flashed up to the leaders, staring at Morningstar. They were joining Beechclan in their fight against Tumbleclan. Shadedleaf frowned, worry darkening her eyes.

Juniperfoot + Harespring are open

"I haven't been to a gathering in ages!" Juniperfoot said, excitement in her voice. "Me neither," Harespring replied, gazing over the clans. "There's even more cats than I can remember!" Juniperfoot remarked. "Hey where'd Sedgetail go?" She asked, when she noticed the silver tabby missing. Harespring narrowed his eyes, searching through the crowd intently. "I think I have some idea," He murmured, his eyes darkening.

Sedgetail with Burrwhisker of Tumbleclan

"Bye Burrwhisker!" Sedgetail watched as Tumbleclan left and looked up at the leaders, waiting for Morningstar to give his announcements.
Sedgetail's eyes widened with dismay. They were fighting!? She glanced in the direction Burrwhisker had gone, concern biting at her.

Onyxstar smiled at Spiderstar. "I will gladly accept your request!" Another ally! Lotusclan's goal on befriending every clan seemed more close every gathering. And then she heard Sorrelstar say something very clearly. "War?" The leader echoed, her eyes widening. How could such a nice cat like Sorrelstar declare war? "Lotusclan will always be Beechclan's ally, but there would be no way in Starclan we will be participating in a battle! Violence is never the answer." Onyxstar had thought by being allies, Lotusclan would lend some herbs or prey when they were in dire times of need, but never battling.

Spiderstar couldn't help a little purr as Talonstar, Onyxstar and Tawnystar accepted the alliance offer. Then he looked to Stonestar and nodded. "Swallowclan would be honored of having you and your clan as allies." he replied, smiling. Four allies! He only wondered what else that would mean for him.
