Deerstar padded up to the front, listening to the other leaders speak. When it was her turn, she lifted her head. "We have a new medicine cat apprentice, Blizzardpaw, and have grown with Ramclaw and Softheart," she announced. "Softheart also gave birth to two kits, named Marigoldkit and Beekit," she finished, stepping back to let the next leader in.

Spiderstar stepped forward. "nothing much happened. I now have a new warrior as well as a deputy. Also, I'd like to add that Swallowclan is looking for allies, in case anyone is interested."

Robinstar stepped forward quickly once the last leader was done. "Birchclan thrives. Prey runs well and we have many apprentices in training. Rippleberry, our medicine cat, died helping a rogue on our border - but her apprentice Finchtuft has done well in her place. We have two new warriors as well, Peachnose and Mudstrike." He was silent for a moment, but didn't sit down. After another beat, he spoke again. There was something he'd caught earlier that needed some passive aggressive addressing. "And I would like to state to my allies that if you ever need help, Birchclan is eager to assist." He let it sink in, then dipped his head and sat.

Morningstar stepped foreward, his gaze sweeping the cats below as he always did before giving his announcements. "Caveclan has little to report. We have a new apprentice and all of our kits are on their way to becoming apprentices as well." He stepped back, signaling for the next leader to speak.

Woolyfur with the deputies

"We're fine. A new apprentice joined us recently." Woolyfur told them. "She'll make a fine warrior when she's older. Tigerkit and Willowkit keep insisting we make them warriors because she's a moon older than them. They're five moons and she's six." He chuckled softly, amused.

Shadedleaf with the medicine cats

"Hello!" Shadedleaf greeted her fellow medicine cats cheerfully. "Sorry I missed the first medicine cat gathering. Cloudpool and I were busy." The ebony she-cat told them.
Her gaze flicked to Cherryseed as she spoke. "Caveclan is good. We have a new apprentice now." She purred happily.

Juniperfoot + Harespring are open

"I haven't been to a gathering in ages!" Juniperfoot said, excitement in her voice. "Me neither," Harespring replied, gazing over the clans. "There's even more cats than I can remember!" Juniperfoot remarked. "Hey where'd Sedgetail go?" She asked, when she noticed the silver tabby missing. Harespring narrowed his eyes, searching through the crowd intently. "I think I have some idea," He murmured, his eyes darkening.

Sedgetail with Burrwhisker of Tumbleclan

"Bye Burrwhisker!" Sedgetail watched as Tumbleclan left and looked up at the leaders, waiting for Morningstar to give his announcements.

Talonstar steps forward after the leader before him is done. "My name is Talonstar of QuartzClan. We're fairly new, but we're thriving and growing in our territory. We are ready to make allies as well."

Cats Attending - Onyxstar (Leader) | Softfire (Deputy) | Bumbletuft (Medicine Cat)

Onyxstar waited for Talonstar to step back before stepping forward herself. "Not much has happened, but Lotusclan now has a loyal deputy and a skilled medicine cat. Like many others, we are always open for alliances!" She smiled, trying to find the two in her clan before stepping back.

Softfire chuckled faintly. "Ah yes, kits and apprentices. Could be little bundles of joy, or the complete opposite."

Bumbletuft nodded slowly, his eyea quickly flicking towards the medicine cat group, and back to Briardusk. He did have the option to come forth with all the other medicine cats and talk about weird prophecy dream stuff that he had no experience with, or he could stay with this friendly she-cat. "I see, thank you!" Bumbletuft mewed. "So... how is Leafclan?"

"Then war we will have," Sorrelstar mewed evenly, but inside her stomach was churning. She was doing the right thing, though certain cats of her own might not agree, an if war was the only way to stop a murderer from going free she would fight any battle. The Beechclan leader broke out of her trance in watching Tumbleclan depart to turn to the other leaders."Please," Sorrelstar was not too proud to beg nor to proud to use the weak image she had presented so many times, "I need your help. We can't let Tumbleclan harbor a murderer even if it does come to war. No cat is safe when Russetleaf is loose and Sagestar will never relent her without force. Think of how many battles his pride has already begun." She looked each leader in the eye, letting her vulnerability magnify and shine thorough. "Please."

"Farewell," Malloweyes whispered, watching the Tumbleclan cats leave. She hadn't been worried, the easily led hearts of cats were easy prey to Swanfoot, especially those of the toms. And Malloweyes, well, she had done her part in convincing Sorrelstar, and a convinced Sorrelstar could do anything. She did hold back Burntsoul from faking a swipe at Russetleaf though.

"Am I supposed to go with her?" Even now, Sleetfoot was uncomfortable with his position as deputy, and he shifted his paws awkwardly as he watched Sorrelstar and her entourage disappear. He probably was, backing their leader was something deputies did right? "Cedarslash, what do you think?" The tom nudged his mate who startled back into reality with a, "Hmm?" Sleetfoot searched her russet face as it turned to him, reading into the tired etched lines. "Are you okay? You seem pretty out of it." Cedarslash nodded haltingly. "Yeah," she breathed, "Just tired. I'll ask Skun- Asptail about it later." Sleetfoot's woory was far from assuaged but he pressed against her side and mewed, "Okay, well I think I'll stick with you then. Unless you don't want me to?" The she-cat snickered, "Oh no! Anything but Sleetfoot the feline burr!" She thwacked his side goodnaturedly and made as to push him off. He retaliated by leaning heavily against her. "Haha! You can't get rid of me that easily! You're stuck with me!" But Cedarslash gave a gasp and toppled over, dragging her mate down with her. But the grin on her muzzle said she was alright.

After a long journey in which Burntsoul was practically plastered to his side, chatting on about who knows what, Webwing was actually very relieved when she stalked off to go play witness. Immediately he felt guilty for the thought, Burntsoul didn't exactly have any friends besides him, and Malloweyes's didn't count. But sometimes even the nearly deaf tom couldn't hear himself think around her, and now she was pressing closer and closer and it was weird. The warrior found himself scanning the gathering for a sign of a familiar face in the crowd. With the spiders all hiding out for the winter Webwing had taken to frost fortune telling, and the cold swirls had told him that hanging out with Smoothpaw more wouldn't be a bad idea.

Barkknot wasn't sure why Sparksong was following her around, surely the chatty she-cat would have had better things to do, like stay back at camp with Claywhistle or something. For some reason through she had begged to come to the gathering and then decided to tail poor Barkknot who would really just like her to go away please. "So how do gatherings usually go? We're supposed to make friends yeah? Claywhistle told me all about the game but Sorrelstar doesn't seem to be playing it. o you have a lot of out of clan friends?" Ignoring everything that was spewing out of the orange tabby's mouth didn't seem to be an effective strategy, so Barkknot sighed and finally gave an answer. "No, just one." Just thinking about Tanglestep made her feel a little giddy, and the warrior began to actively search the clearing for any sign of the muscular tom.

tawnystar stepped forward, her head raised high. "blueclan is doing very well. we have found our deputy, foxfoot, and are expecting a litter of kits. we accept any ally offers made to us, and we extend one to echoclan and quartzclan." she said, her whiskers twitching as she revealed she was expecting kits. she nodded to sorrelstar, showing she would stand with them.

Hearing Sorrelstar's plea for help made up his mind even more. Yes, he didn't have all the information about what was actually happening, but an ally was asking - begging for any help she could receive. Robinstar dipped his head to her, his slim tail giving a single lash. He waited until Tawnystar finished her announcements before he spoke quietly. "Birchclan stands with you. If Tumbleclan truly harbors a murderer," the brown tom murmured, meeting Sorrelstar's stare with his own. "Then we cannot stand idly by."

Morningstar looked at Sorrelstar as she begged for help in the war against Tumbleclan. "Russetleaf is their only medicine cat. Kill her and you leave Tumbleclan without their healer." He pointed out. "Killing her when you don't have very good proof would be wrong." The orange tom was on the fence with this situation. Beechclan had been their first ally but if Russetleaf hadn't killed anyone, attacking Tumbleclan would be wrong. Curling his tail over his paws, he waited patiently for Sorrelstar's reply.
