Moonrose looked up from Coalkit and Bluekit, her eyes darted around the nursery, till she saw a black furry figure through a crack. Ratwhisker... She thought. Her heart began to beat fast, and she knew that a few cats had their conspires about Ratwhisker already...

[meerkat boi.]

[ ooc: yay! ]

the black tom barged through the warriors and apprentices. he didn't care if he was injured now- his kits weren't happy.

"Ratwhisker!" Moonrose screeched, in clear horror. Minnowkit- er, Minnowpaw, let out a loud hiss. "Murderer!" He screeched. Mousefeather looked at her brother, barely recognizing him. Moonrose looked at Bluekit, who looked as if she was drawn to Ratwhisker.

Bluekit's head was facing the rouge. He smelt different. He did not smell like any of the other cats in the nursery. She liked it.

[meerkat boi.]

coalkit darted into his mothers fur.

the tom growled at minnowpaw. he went up to his mate, and whispered a congratulations in her ear.

Moonrose flicked her tail, whispering a thank-you. But her facial expression did not match her sweet words. "Sorry" She added, before a cruel snarl crossed her normally kind face. "Get away from my kits!" She snapped, the fur on her neck raising. She had gently shoved Bluekit into her thick pelt. Coalkit was already there.

Minnowpaw attempted to leap at Ratwhisker, but Juniperleaf had Minnowpaw by his scruff. "Not now Minnowpaw, he won't think twice about killing you." He muffled, still holding Minnowpaw's scruff.

the tom let out a hiss, but was hesitant. he noticed a little black kit freeze when moonrose had snarled. "moonrose, hes not okay!" the tom whispered to her. his tail was flicking. he looked back at minnowpaw, but decided the apprentice was not worth his time. he took a few pawsteps back from moonrose, but when the kit cried, he lost it. he had a worried expression on his face.

coalkit froze up. why did mama snarl? why was everything so scary? he didn't move, but only to breathe. maybe if he stayed still, the danger would go away! the tomkit let out a cry, giving up on staying still.

"He's ok." She whispered. "You should have seen yourself as a kit." She added, still keeping the protective snarl on her face, which did not match her sweet tone.
