Hinata

Hinata was grateful for this second, longer pause. At first, when Naruto hadn't replied back, she had gotten extremely worried. Had she actually offended him, or did she anger him to the point of speechlessness? I knew I shouldn't have said anything! She had scolded herself before turning towards him, ready to apologize for prying. To her surprise, and to her secret yet overwhelming joy, he didn't look offended nor angry. The boy was staring, almost glaring, at the ground as he thought deeply. How cute! She couldn't help but smile, suppressing the urge to walk over to him and gently play with the fringes of his beautifully blond hair. For a moment, Hinata felt a little guilty for being biased when it came to Naruto. If this was anyone else, she was sure she'd feel at least a little annoyance if they took this long to remember what they were doing, and yet she felt not even the slightest bit annoyed when Naruto's involved. But then, all the guilt quickly left when she realized that no one could be this cute while they remember a reason for doing something.
Naruto had yet to answer after almost a minute had past and Hinata began feeling a little awkward. It wasn't because of the silence, the silence was actually quite helpful. She had managed to calm herself down, not to mention that she felt cheeks cool down considerably. Instead of the bright red apples that they used to resemble, her face was back to her natural pale color that included a healthy glow. The silence had certainly helped her a lot. What was awkward was her position. She was kneeling, knees and legs firmly on the ground, face to face with a large white dog that was content to be petted forever. If she had fully turned to look at the boys, she would be face to face with....well, she would have to look up to see their faces. Giving Akamaru two pats on the head, she stood up, brushing off her knees and legs, then loosened her scarf a little. It may be chilly outside, but it was much warmer inside the garage. Hopefully Kiba won't say anything later about her kneeling in front of the two of them.
Finally, after another moment, Naruto spoke and she was able to hear his lovely voice again. Not only had he spoken, but he had laughed as well. Hinata always loved his laugh; it sounded as if heaven had came down and given everyone a preview of the afterlife within his laughing voice. The next thing she obsessed over was the fact that he said her name, again, with another cute smile. If anyone was inside her mind, they would probably hear a 'Hinata-like' squeal and witness a short scene of Hinata quickly running over to and hugging Naruto. Unfortunately for those that would find that extremely funny, yet out of character, it was only a daydream. But it was one that had her blushing, looking down, and only half listening whilst she enjoyed the sound of Naruto's voice.
It's was Kiba's voice that snapped her out of her fantasy land, and when she glanced up again Naruto didn't seem to be smiling like he once was; the observant woman wondered what would have caused him to put a little stopper on his excitement. As Kiba mentioned his work hours, Hinata blanched. He had yet to close up shop and was still at risk at getting in trouble with his boss! "I'm sure you'll get over it eventually." She replied playfully, moving closer to the two. "But for now, you have to worry about closing." She added a little more seriously, before moving closer to Naruto. After a moment of internal conflict, Hinata reached over and gently grasped Naruto's sleeve at the elbow. Because of the embarrassing gesture she was glancing down at her feet, her bangs slightly covering her face. "W-we should go wait f-for Kiba outside." She suggested softly, nervously biting her lip. While she was happy to be so close to Naruto, it made her uncomfortable doing something as bold as this. "W-we'll all hang out o-once Kiba is finished." She promised, tugging slightly on his sleeve..



((Made sure to get this done before starting my homework, so I'd actually have muse. You guys better feel lucky, I put ya'll before my school work! XP))

"Oi Hinata, relax. No need to be stuttering like that, we're only going back to my house for a half hour or so before the party." Kiba rubbed sweat off his neck and then continued, "But uh, yeah, I outta start covering up my work in progress here for the night, quite literally."
Kiba pointed to the large, folded tarp across the room. That's what he was going to use to cover the bus right there in the garage, "If y'all could stay here for just a minute or s to help me swing this over this bus, it'd be great. There's no use waitin' out in the cold if I'm sweatin' in here trying to close up."
Then the brunette called to his dog, "Akamaru! Tarp!"
Akamaru reluctantly jumped away from Hinata but voluntarily grabbed one end of the tarp.
"This fluffy guy's trained to help me out with even stuff like this." Kiba explained, "But if it ain't a problem, you two grab a corner. We'll all bring this tarp up over the bus and let it go. It's taller than the usual vehicles I gotta deal with then seal for the night, obviously."

Naruto sighed and shook his head lightly. "Sorry man, but, I kinda have to go. My mum may look sweet, innocent and beautiful but she can be... Pretty scary..." Poor little Naru shivered at the thought of how abusive his mother could be when given any chance. "So I guess I'll see you later then?" he cocked his head to the side.
