Sunnyflower trailed at the back of the border patrol, Stagstep walking next to her. She walked close to the blind tom, making sure he didn't stray too far from the patrol, even though he was doing a pretty good job by himself. The ginger she-cat felt that she was already loosing her breath.

Lately, she was slower and had a harder time doing simple tasks.

SandLeap snorted as the snow hit him full in the face, "Hey!" He protested, before scooping some up and tossing it at the she-cat.

Wildpoppy squealed as the snow nailed her in the chest. The calico she-cat jumped to her paws, shaking her fur. "Oh no you didn't!" She laughed, scooping up another pawful of snow and hurling it at Sandleap.

The tom dug his snout into the snow and flung it at her, 'Oh yes I did!" He shot back, dashing to one side to get out of the range of fire.

Wildpoppy giggled, ducking out of the way of Sandleap's snow. "Oh, it's so on!" The calico shouted, her bobbed tail wiggling excitedly as she kicked snow at the Swiftclan tom.

There! Asceticpaw stood, excitement filling her paws. She strode casually towards the patrol, pasuing at the border. "Echoclan, greetings! I hope prey is running well?" She purred sweetly, curling her tail over her back and smiling in a friendly manner.

"Hey! No hiding!" Wildpoppy giggled, bounding over to Sandleap and pouncing on the tom.

Sunnyflower looked up from her conversation with Stagstep when she heard Asceticpaw. The pale ginger padded up to the border. "Hey!" She smiled. "The prey is running very well. How is Witherclan doing?"

"I wasn't hiding!" SandLeap protested, laughing.

Echoclan Patrol

"We're.... recovering." She mewed bluntly, her expression downcast. "And the last thing we need, I've been scenting a rogue shecat on our territory. Be careful in case she crosses onto your land, ok?" Asceticpaw glanced worriedly at the patrol. "For some reason, her scent trail often mingles with our medicine cat's.. They have seemed distracted lately.." She mused, quiet enough to seem as if she was talking to herself, but loud enough for the patrol to hear. She blinked, shaking her head as if snapping out of a thought. "Anyway, I've got to finish hunting! Look out for that rogue, ok? Bye!" Ascetixpaw lingered long enough to wave her tail in parting, then turned and padded away. Once she was out of sight, a sly grin plastered across her muzzle. Phase one, complete. Onto Phase two. The apprentice began to look for a suitable thornbush.
