Ferondir of Mira -- Arbour Harbor

"Er..." Ferondir took a second to absorb all the questions. "He's Zephyrus, actually, but we all call him Zeph. Guzore? Where do I start? Imagine a giant stone teddy bear." That was a horrible comparison, he hoped she understood what he meant. "And the Zoras? Well, they love swimming, they're blue, and generally have no idea how the society of ground dwellers works." He paused. "You live in Arbor harbor. How have you not met any gorons? They are everywhere!" Well, maybe not everywhere, but there were two or three.

"Gorons always seemed so... Dangerous. Zephyrus is a cool name. Zoras seem interesting. I think I'd like to meet your friends." Will they be my friends too? Is that what I want? ...I don't have an answer to that. Whatever I really want, I apparently don't get to know for the moment. I'll see where following these - adventurers - gets me. I hope I don't regret this later or get killed.

Ferondir sighed. He hadn't represented his friends as badly as he thought. Although calling Zeph mental was going to bite him later.
"Some gorons might be, but not Guzore. Unless you're a bandit, ghost, or tree."
The way she said 'friends,' it was almost jealous. Maybe she didn't have any.
"You'll fit right in, I bet."

Shiallia was silent for some time. I can blend in to any crowded street, but something tells me that skill won't help me fit in here. Friends... I think I do want friends. This could be fun. Shiallia sighed. Unless this guy is lying to me. I hope not..."Friends..." she murmured barely audibly. She didn't say it to be heard, just to consider the thought.

Ferondir watched her. She was thinking pretty hard about something.
"Friends..." He clearly wasn't supposed to have heard that.
She had seemed so frightening before. But how could he be scared of a person so much like him?

Shiallia shook her head. "So, when will your friends get here?" I wonder what they'll be like... Friends. One moment I'm eating an apple I stole, the next I'm going to Castle Town with a bunch of strangers. This could go wrong... Or I could make friends... Is it worth the risk? Will I I really risk my life for a chance to get friends? I keep changing my mind..."I'm looking forward to meeting Zephyrus and Guzore and all the rest."

"We're supposed to meet at the town square," Ferondir said. "They might be waiting. Come on."
Ferondir started hobbling off in the wrong direction. "I think it's this way...?"

"Hey, wait! The town square's this way." Shiallia barely held in her laughter. Well, he wasn't lying about where he grew up!

"Yeah, I... I knew that, thanks." Ferondir spun on his heal, and overbalanced.
His staff clattered to the ground.
"Oof," he said. "Sorry." He picked up his staff, and stood up. "It's this way." He pointed the right way this time.

Shiallia rolled her eyes. "Okay then, lets go." I can tell you know your way around, Ferondir of Mira. You deserve a medal. Her sarcastic thoughts evaporated. This is going to be great! I wonder what Zeph's like... Is he really mental? And is Guzore as nice as he says? I guess I'll find out. This is so exciting!
