Tessa let out an exasperated little huff. "I sure wish I had your patience. He can be so disagreeable! It just makes me wanna... well, lay 'im flat. Which is impossible for me, as we found out." She thought about how Vicente retreated off into his books when he wasn't happy. She actually did something similar. "I used to spend hours hacking into the college database when I got stressed out. Something about stripping away all the firewalls and finding the secrets inside took my mind off of things." She gave a lopside smile. "Yeah... Imma nerd..."

Vicente gave a chuckle. "I hardly understand this insane technology. I got an Iphone, or something like that, and I have no clue whatsoever how to make it work. It's been sitting in my room, being useless." Vicente said with an exasperated sigh, giving a little smile to Tessa. He seriously couldn't even figure out how to personalize the phone. All he knew how to do was to make calls on it.

Tessa's bashful smile widened into a grin of gleeful proportions. "Aww, poor Vicente! Maybe I can have a look at it sometime." [*knows absolutely nothing about apple products* o.o] She ran her fingers absently through her hair and shifted rather painfully in her seat, making sure to keep the pain out of her expression. She felt so fragile, like a piece of tissue paper that'll rip at any moment now. And she looked rather fragile too. She was a little short and delicately thin as it was. That coupled with the palor of her skin and the faint shadows under her eyes made her look just about ready to keel over. Or at least pass out. At least breathing wasn't a struggle any more. It just caused an ache in her chest.

Vicente laughed softly. He frowned as he noticed her wince, though it was obvious she tried to hide it. He had gotten quite good at reading expressions in his years. "Do you need more medicine? You look like you're about to crumple." Vicente said with a frown, his crimson eyes holding her foggy blue gaze evenly.

Tessa hastily shook her head, clenching her thin fingers into a fist as a vent for the pain. "No thank you. I'll be fine." That seemed to be the main word she used when she lied about her injuries to Vicente. I'm fine, I'll be fine... It's what she'd said right after getting her a** handed to her by Lucien as well. She changed the subject, trying to steer it away from herself. "When do you think Lucien will be back? A week? A month?"

Vicente gave a sigh, dropping that subject. "Lucien may be back in a week, or... he may not be back at all. We've just got to wait to see how it all plays out." Vicente responded, standing and going to the cabinets, opening them and looking around. He gave a frown. They probably had to make a trip to Wal-Mart to restock. He gave a grumbling sigh. He didn't necessarily like Wal-Mart. Too many people. He couldn't necessarily send Tessa in to buy things in her condition, either. He shuffled to the table, sitting down and flicking his eyes to the clock. It was about eleven in the mornin'. They could probably get to the store in an hour or so. Vicente had a car out back.

Tessa's gaze followed Vicente's movements, catching his frown as he sifted through the cabinets. "So, how will we get to town?" she asked, jumping to the conclusion of no cake ingredients. "I'd rather not ride on a horse again. That was painful enough as it was." Her legs had been sore for a week after the long ride to the fort with Lucien.

[I saw the gif! So cute! I went and looked up "loki gif" on Google Images, but I saw too many awesome ones to just pick a few to show you. So instead of cluttering this post with Loki, I think I'll just tell you to go check it out on Google xD]

"I've got a car out back. Nothing special, but it'll do. If we take the back exit, we can simply drive to the nearest town. Though it's about an hour away. " Vicente shrugged, flicking his eyes to Sigma. "Lucien prefers riding Shadowmere, however. That horse doesn't like me for some reason, though." the vampire rambled, cocking a brow. "If it's cloudy enough, we could go now. But if it's sunny, then we'll have to go at night-time. Lucien said my stupid Iphone had the weather forecast on it, but I can't work the bloody thing." Vicente grumbled with a frown, folding his arms.

[Me too! *high fives Symphony through computer screen* Look what I found! So cute!]
Tessa chuckled, jabbing a finger towards the kitchen door. "Go get your phone. I can check for you." Her eyes sparkled with a happy mirth that was rather rare for her. Vicente seemed to bring out the best in her. "I can explain your phone to you on the way to the store if you like."

"Alrighty." Vicente said as he stood, quickly walking to his room. He glared at the Iphone as he picked it up, walking back to the kitchen and handing it to Tessa. "There. Check the weather, if you could." he chuckled, sitting back down into his chair, leaning forward and watching.
