Callie eyed Prosper with some disbelief as he asked about the festivities and what to do. "Well, I'm surprised you've never been to one of these, to be honest," she admitted with a grin. "So many opportunities for you antics. But without all of the history involved, a masquerade is just a formal ball in which you wear a mask to conceal your identity. Used to be for the nobles of a court, to mingle and envy each other. Basically, it's just a social gathering." She glanced up at her friend, somewhat hoping she hadn't bored him too much. But her attention was averted for a moment as she heard slow music play, and other Plumies start to pair up for dancing. If only Ringo were here... She turned back to her prankster friend with a small smile. "So, who are you going to dance with?"

Prosper tilted his head and cocked an eyebrow, "Dance? Is that what these idiots are doing? Ha, I don't dance... unironically." He shrugged. "At least I don't remember ever learning how to dance."

Zevia watched as some couples began dancing, the girls dresses twirling around as the boy led them through the music. Zevia tossed the napkin she had been clutching in her hand into the nearest trash can, as she moved along the outskirts of the party, finding a fairly un crowed spot before leaning up against the wall. She ran her fingers through the curls in her hair, her eyes wandering around, watching more people join on the dance floor, everyone really happy. So far she had only seen a few plumie who she recognized, but for the most part, everyone was a new face to her. She scanned the sea of masked faces, looking for a friend, but her search to no avail, as she shifted her weight around nervously. She let out a small sigh, watching everyone talking and laughing, as she just watched from a far.

Alani was surprised by his face. She also was dissapointed. She quickly put her mask back on , and said,"I know who you are Latte. You look WAY better with out that mask though. Lets go back to the ball room." They walked back, and Alani started talking to him, "So, what do you think about me? I mean, I dont look great, but i'll do.'' ;v;

"Who else would I be talking to?" she responded dryly, not trying to be rude. There wasn't anyone else close to him as everyone else was absorbed in their own thoughts or conversations. Veronica politely handed him the drink, taking a sip of her own. Her faced scrunched up a bit at the overpowering sweetness of it, she was hoping it would be a bit more tart. She observed Dae for a moment, but couldn't really gather much about him. After all, he was finely dressed and wearing a mask. The only thing different about him that she had noticed was his notepad, a rather odd item to bring to a party. "What were you sketching?" she asked him, staring out at the dance floor.

Upon hearing her question Dae dropped all attempts to seem friendly and returned to his standard better-than-you demeanor. No longer smiling or even attempting to look kind, he took a sip of his drink. This did little to mask his disdain. He looked Veronica over The second question surprised him a bit. "Why are you asking? I do not believe the contents of my notepad concern you." He replied making sure to add extra emphasis on "you". He refused to open out about his inferiorities to a stranger. Especially one so rude.

Veronica was tempted to shoot a glare at Dae, but realized she had a mask on and it would be almost impossible to tell. "I'm asking because I'm curious," she stated. She had a gut feeling that it would be better if she did her best to stay on Dae's 'good side', if he even had one. And, it was probably better to be honest with him too. He didn't strike her as the type who liked long, drawn out conversations. Maybe I'm being too frank, she pondered as she watched the dancers, hm, I guess I'll always be rude.

Latte shook his head and smiled, blushing a little and returning his mask to his face. "I'll keep it on for now, since it is a masquerade." He walked next to her, listening to her words. "Well... we could try something out? -Wait, that didn't come out right." He took a deep breath and smiled, before looking at her and saying, "I mean... we could always go on a date, see how things work out?"

Alani blushed. "Of course we can go on a date! If things dont work out, i'll go back to V." They walked in the ball room. Alani saw so many lonely plumies, she felt bad for them. But there were a few plumies talking and dancing. "Well, nice talking to you. I shall be going to the buffet. Here's my number." Alani gives Latte her number and walks away.

Callie tilted her head up at Prosper, her smallish stature not winning her favor here. Brows furrowed, she shook her head. "Hard to believe," she admitted, pondering on all of the male Plumie's antics, or all of them she had heard about. He'd done so many more remarkable pranks, jokes, and games, but he'd never formally danced before? "Wanna try? I have a special dance planned, it'll be up soon." Only then did she realize that she had pretty much just offered him to a dance; at these balls, the man was supposed to ask. Oh, well. If I can be improper with anyone, it's be Prosper.
