Russetleaf - Medicine cat of Tumbleclan - Ramhorn, Skunkbrush, Willowcloud

She nodded wordlessly back at Ramhorn, curling her feathery tail around her paws. Russetleaf chose not to reply, instead turning to a beautiful looking cat that approached her. Nodding slowly, Russetleaf flickered a ghost of a smile. ''Yeah...'' she sighed. ''I'm fine, thank you.'' the red cat purred quietly. ''What about you?''

Skunkbrush couldn't help the twinge of pleasure that tickled his spine at being asked for advice. There was nothing the older tom liked better than sharing his thoughts on manny different matters. "Pair them with some cat who won't take no for an answer, even if that no is from you. No matter how big their disability is, the worst illness a cat can have is giving up." The tom nearly laughed remembering Sunheart and Webwing's insistence on training Cougarpaw. They wouldn't listen to him or even Sorrelstar! "There's going to be a lot of readjusting taking place so you need to be ready to support that."

mallowpool looked at skunkbrush with slitted eyes, but decided not to comment. tawnystar would be angry with him if he did anything to mess up their alliance, so he turned and walked towards russetleaf and the other molly he didn't know. he nodded to the other cat, and introduced himself. "hello. i am mallowpool of blueclan." he turned to russetleaf and asked her in a low tone, "are you well? you are not the leader of your clan, and they should not hold such high expectations of you."

Morningpaw suddenly saw a small brown shecat pad over to the moonpool, and she perked up her ears in interest. Slipping away from her mentor, she scampered over to her with her tail held high. "Good morning!" She chirped, giving her a sheepish grin.

Honeyfur watched Morningpaw walk away wistfully, but kept her face straight and her posture rigid. She watched the tensions with calm eyes, feeling a spark of cheer that she wasn't involved in their silly quarrel.

Smoothpaw crept towards the gathering of medicine cats, her tailtip twitching in nervousness. "Smoothpaw, you have to go to the gathering alone. I'm sorry, but Rabbitwish and I are needed here.." Dawnglow's words echoed in her mind. Smoothpaw flared her nose. Does she think I'm unneeded? Her heart dropped at the thought. Am I no use to her? Just another cat to clutter the medicine den? The brown apprentice padded into the clearing, staring at her paws. She felt very self-conscious, her pelt prickling as she sat wordlessly.

Talonstar purrs in amusement. "We'll help you, then," he says, starting to walk away.
Snowheart quickly catches up to his leader. "Are you sure about this, Talonstar?" he cautions.
Talonstar nudges him in a friendly way. "He's an apprentice. What's the worst he can do?" he replies. "Besides, the last thing we need at the moment is enemies."

"Oh, I'm doing fine," Willowcloud meowed. She then hesitated a moment before saying quietly, "I heard there was a battle - thank goodness LeafClan wasn't involved. From what the others are saying, it must have been terrible. How is your Clan faring?"

Ashenclaw gave a small smile. She loved him - she really did! For a moment he didn't know what to say. "Oh, Sheepclaw, I love you too," he purred, leaning forward to touch his forehead to hers. "I guess we'll just have to see how things go. Do you think your Clanmates know?"

Surprisingly, that seems to turn Talonstar a bit chilly. Not a lot, just a little. "This is QuartzClan," he replies. "We mostly keep to ourselves." It's true - so far, at least.
