Skunkbrush's only movement was to twitch an ear at Mallowpool. Of course he would have to share the name with the one cat he had to deal with tonight. "It doesn't matter what the leader thinks, we have Starclan on our side and the knowledge that comes from choosing not to harm. They must listen to us and our clanmates or they are dictators and not leaders," he hissed softly, then composed himself. Picking up on the topic of blindness he decided to throw out another opinion of his own. "Celadine is good for keeping the wounds from getting infected but the blindness isn't going to go away. We have a blind cat ourselves: Cougarpaw. She's been doing well but... no herb is going to let her see again."

Russetleaf - Tumbleclan -

She wanted to crawl away into a hole and hide. Drawing her eyes away from Ramhorn and Weaslestorm, a prickle of guilt bubbled up in her chest and Russetleaf felt terrible. Shaking her head, Russetleaf padded away from them, and tucked herself away in a darker corner. Alone with her thoughts, the medicine cat pondered if she could get Sagestar away from Swanfoot just for a few moments...but then brave Mallowpool stood up for her. Her heart skipped and soared, and Russetleaf flashed him a kindly smile.

Ramhorn sat back on his haunches, nodding slightly to Russetleaf to let her know that he had heard her apology. He personally didn't have anything against Russetleaf but he was annoyed with Tumbleclan for causing the needless fight. "At least neither of us suffered heavy losses."

"We have a blind elder named Rosie. She's been helping Stagstep relying on his other senses."

"Several Clans came and joined the fight, I have no clue why but whatever." Brindlepaw mewed, shrugging slightly. "Stagstep was blinded by Swanfoot, and Pigeonpaw was some deep wounds but he'll be fine after resting for a few days."

"I'm Brindlepaw of Echoclan." Brindlepaw mewed to Shadepaw. "Which one is your mentor? The white tom is my mentor, his name is Ramhorn."

Cats Attending: Sootpelt, Speckledpaw

A fresh wave of pain washed over Sootpelt when Finchtuft told him of how Rippleberry had died. It's my fault. She's dead and it's my fault. I should have known... Sootpelt closed him eyes in an attempt to collect his thoughts and to appear collected. When he opened then, he took in a shaky breath to apologize before realizing that he didn't have to. What should he apologize for? He didn't do anything wrong. Loving a cat could never be such a crime. Sootpelt's mouth snapped shut and he gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowing. "I'm glad to hear that they're okay," he mewed steadily in regard to the kits. "Although I don't suppose you'll ever allow me to see my own kits, will you?" Sootpelt hissed accusingly, hurt showing in his voice despite his best attempts. Sootpelt spotted Mottledberry, who seemed to have been heading towards Finchtuft, and forced his fur to lie flat. "Thank you," the dark tom meowed tensely to the young medicine cat, giving a single lash of his tail before pushin past him.

MottledBerry took a few steps back, unsure of exactly what had just happened, but she could tell from the body language that it was not good. She stood, hesitating, unsure if she should approach FinchTuft, and if she did, should she ask about what had just happened, or pretend she hadn't noticed?

"Its good to hear he has help. Webwing has all but taken over every part of Cougarpaw's life, or maybe it's the other way around." Skunkbrush smiled to himself thinking of the duo just charging around camp and the entire forest, like neither of their disabilities affected them at all. It was good of the warrior to take Cougarpaw so seriously, kept her out of his way. "He thinks that since he is near deaf it will help him help her, but really it's his willingness to try different methods of aiding her that is truly helping."

"Oh," he mewed quietly. "I hope Pigeonpaw recovers well. And I'm sorry that LeafClan didn't come to your aid - I had no idea that there was a battle...." he admitted a bit shamefully. To Shadepaw he mewed, "It's nice to meet you!"

The gray tabby was quite bewildered when she heard arguing and talk of a battle. How had her Clan been so oblivious to such a war as they were speaking of? She glanced around, seeing that almost everyone was conversing with another cat. Then she noticed the TumbleClan medicine cat alone in a corner. Should she approach her? Comfort her? Willowcloud didn't know if it would be right to do so since her Clan was allied with EchoClan. No, Clan rivalries were not supposed to affect the medicine cats. And so she slowly, quietly stepped toward Russetleaf. "Hello," she mewed softly, offering her a small smile. "Are you alright?"

His green eyes narrowed into slits at Sootpelt's sudden hostility. He'd been ready for the Apspenclan medicine cat to cow and bow his head, but hearing him hiss was something he hadn't really prepared for. Despite himself, Finchtuft felt a flicker of respect. But all the respect in the stars wasn't going to get the young medicine cat to let Sootpelt walk away with the last word. As the dark tabby pushed past him, Finchtuft hopped forward and curled his lip. "Those kits believe they're the kits of a rogue, are you really going to let them grow up knowing that they're not only half clan, but the kits of two cats who broke their own code?" He pressed, fixing Sootpelt with a hard glare. "I'll take them to the border in two days at sunrise." He conceded, though it was hesitant. "I'll only be waiting until sunhigh." Without waiting for a response, Finchtuft turned his attention to Mottledberry, remembering the she-cat from their run-in at the border. He waved his tail to the she-cat, both calling her over and greeting her.

Shadepaw started to feel the slightest bit comfortable now, the pretty dilute calico who had spoken to her seemed to take her presence well, thank StarClan. She was glad to have a reason to bring up her mentor too, no matter what was he was mentioned, he managed to make her feel content. "My mentor's the brown-and-white tom, his name's Weaselstorm." She mewed to Brindlepaw, her shy tone edging off to make way for the pride she felt for being his apprentice. She wanted to add in that he felt more like a father then a mentor, but she wasn't sure if that was appropriate to say. She then smiled at Applepaw, a purr in her throat.

Weaselstorm watched as Russetleaf padded away from them, seemingly too guilty to stick around the others for too long. No matter, it wasn't like he was willing to talk to her any way. He stayed quiet at the conversations around him as he didn't have anything else to say, though he did feel sorry for those who were disabled such as Cougarpaw, but at least she had support in her own Clan. "Have any advice for me? StarClan forbid any of my Clanmates go deaf or blind anytime soon, but it'd be nice to know what to do about that kind of thing beforehand." He asked to Skunkbrush, lightly tapping his claws on the ground as he waited for a reply.

The molly glanced nervously between the two cats, then slowly padded over, "Hi, FinchTuft, any luck yesterday?." she said, attempting to test the waters. Was his irritability toward this..what was the scent..AspenClan? Yes, AspenClan, Med Cat going to carry over to her?
