Tessa's eyes widened and a look of disbelief crossed her face. "No way, lemme see!" She reached a pale hand towards Vicente with a gleeful little grin, reaching out and waiting for him to do the same. "So, is he going because of me? Because he killed that assassin?"

Vicente held his hand up beside Sigma's pale hand as he responded; "There are five tenants within the Dark Brotherhood. The fifth and final tenant in the Brotherhood that states: "Do not kill a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis." So, Lucien has gone to get some things straightened out and to speak with the Listener of our Sanctuary." Vicente said with a sigh, flicking his crimson eyes back to their hands. She was actually a little paler than the Vampire!

Tessa pressed her fingertips against Vicente's and moved her palm so that it touched against his. He didn't feel so cold for once. Or perhaps she didn't feel so warm for once. She watched their hands in mild awe at the paleness of her own hand as she spoke. "And if the Listener doesn't like what he hears?" Her tone was soft and slightly worried.

Vicente gently clasped his fingers in-between hers, holding her hand. "In the best case he dislikes it, he'll probably banish Lucien. In the worst case, he'll probably kill him... But, the Listener may simply let him go." Vicente said, giving her a reassuring smile. Goodness, she was quite pale. The Vampire gave a frown at the palor of her skin. It certainly wasn't natural for a living human to be so pale.

Tessa clasped her fingers in between Vicente's as well, her gray-blue eyes steadily watching their hands. "This is my fault," she murmured, troubled. "I wasn't even paying attention when I got up there. I didn't even have the presence of mind to put up a fight when he hit me." She fell silent, her free hand sliding over the stitches on her side as she remembered the incident.

"You screamed quite a lot last night." Vicente mused as he turned her hand in his, a frown on the old vampire's lips, though her certainly didn't look old. He looked quite like he was in his prime, except for the silence of his heart and the paleness of his skin.

Tessa's thumb ran absently over the back of Vicente's hand. She paid attention to the texture of his skin, slightly curious to see if it was any different from a normal human's skin. "Yeah. I'm sure you and Lucien would've been a lot quieter, but I'm not so cool about getting a lung stitched up." She gave a small shrug and a wince at the sudden pain the small movement caused. Would this inability to move confine her to laying down this whole time? If so, she'd go mad from lack of activity before she even healed up.

Vicente chuckled. "Trust me, there's worse." he said, giving her a small smile. Turning into a vampire had been beyond excruciating, to where he had been feeling nothing but wishing for death. Empty. He frowned as the memory showed itself, and gave a sigh.

[Falls]

Tessa rolled her foggy blue eyes and ran her free hand through her hair. "See? My point exactly. You two are all tough and experienced. But me, I'm just Sigma. Er- Tessa. I told Lucien last night and I might as well tell you. My name's Tessa McClaire." She let her thin hand hang limply in Vicente's hold, not quite willing to let go just yet.

Vicente cocked a brow. He gave a small smile, bringing her hand up and gently kissing her knuckles. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Tessa McClaire." he said softly, his crimson eyes kind as he lowered her hand, holding it loosely in his grip.
