Russetleaf - Medicine cat - Tumbleclan - Talking to Honeyfur, Morningpaw, Ramhorn and pretty much everyone

Smiling softly at Morningpaw, Russetleaf recalled when she was just as excited as Morningpaw was. Flicking her tail, Russetleaf blinked softly to Honeyfur. ''She's a sweet cat...'' the red medicine cat praised, glancing at Morningpaw. Overhearing the mention of Tumbleclan, Russetleaf shivered slightly. Turning to the source of the meow, Russetleaf spotted two cats, one bragging about the scars she earned. Lashing her tail, she looked up to Ramhorn. There was an icy gleam in the cat's eyes that made Russetleaf shudder. Shuffling her paws uncomfortably at the mention of Pebbleclaw, Russetleaf turned hastily to Mallowpool.

Shadepaw flinched as she overheard some of the medicine cats talk about the EchoClan battle, her own Clanmates had been caught in that fight, and she really didn't want to remember any of the injuries they sustained. The young cat cautiously padded towards where the other apprentices were gathered instead, but now she was unsure if she should butt in and introduce herself. "H-hello..." She mewed quietly, huh, now that sounded a lot less enthusiastic then what she wanted.

Weaselstorm stared darkly at the medicine cat of TumbleClan from the corner of his eye, knowing that a good amount of her Clanmates had attacked his own, thus he naturally held a grudge towards Russetleaf and everyone one else from TumbleClan. The brown-and-white cat sat farther away from everyone else, keeping an eye out for Aspenleaf and Hearthflame of SoulClan as he wondered if either would be present tonight. He then stared at his paws, quiet as he realized that this was the very first medicine cat gathering he had been to without Skunknose by his side.

Cats Attending: Sootpelt, Speckledpaw
Sootpelt peered around, his eyes widening when he picked up a trace of BirchClan's scent. "Go socialize," he mumbled to Speckledpaw, leaving his apprentice bewildered and alone as he began to search for the source of the scent. The dark tabby pushed eagerly through the growing throng, the scent growing nearer with each pa step. "Ripple--" Sootpelt's voice cut off when he realized that the tom standing before him was most definitely not Rippleberry. The AspenClan medicine cat cleared his throat awkwardly, shuffling his paws. "Erm... Lovely day, isn't it?" Sootpelt mewed feebly, motioning with his paw to the cold, frost-coated expanse and the clouded sky.

Ramhorn snorted slightly, rolling his eyes. "'A lot of casualties'" He mimicked, his tail lashing. "You only lost one warrior when you fought us, any other warriors you lost were from when your clan decided to immediately attack Witherclan right after. Don't pin those deaths on Echoclan. We're owning up to Pebbleclaw's death, none of the others."

He turned to Mallowpool. "One of our warriors was blinded and several have deep scratches. I made a poultice for the scratches and I'm keeping an eye out for infection."

Brindlepaw blinked at Applepaw, confused for a moment before remembering the scars. "Oh right. Tumbleclan attacked our camp the day after the gathering. One of the warriors was trying to get into the medicine cat den so I had to keep him out. These scars are nothing! You should see the ones I left on him!" Her eyes glittered in excitement.

"Hi!" She chirped as Shadepaw came up.

Applepaw gasped, "Really? Well I'm glad you're okay." He couldn't even imagine what it would be like if someone attacked his Clan. He wasn't much of a fighter, so he probably would have turned tail and ran.... "How big was the battle? Is everyone in EchoClan alright?" A quiet hello sounded nearby, and he turned to see a young apprentice standing there. She looks really nervous... "Hi there! I'm Applepaw of LeafClan. Who are you?"

Willowcloud sat down near the wall of the cave, watching Applepaw and his friend, whiskers twitching with amusement. She noticed every cat as they padded in, and so far hadn't seen anyone that she had spoken to before.

mallowpool nodded and sat in thought. "if you need any herbs, blueclan offers them." mallowpool shot a glance at ramhorn and skunkbrush. he knew he was allied with beechclan, so he nodded to the other medicine cat. he turned and mewed in sympathy to russetleaf. he looked at the moonpool for the first time, and blinked in awe. the pool was so reflective to the night sky, and mallowpool could feel how sacred it was in the air. soon, he thought, would be the time they talked to starclan. will starclan say something about tawnystar and i? or say something to one of the other clans? his tail twitched as the thought came to him.

Hearing someone address him - kind of, at least -, Finchtuft glanced around until he found the source of the call. Whatever vague image he had in his mind of the Aspenclan medicine cat confirmed that the tom standing before him was Sootpelt. Forcing his fur to lie flat, Finchtuft lifted his chin and stared down his nose at the other tom. "It would've been a lovely day if my mentor were alive to see it." He said coolly, his voice rumbling dangerously low. The Birchclan medicine cat didn't particularly care how Sootpelt took the death of his mate; in fact he was almost eager to see remorse play across his face. It would serve him right. He thought sourly. After a quick glance around to ensure there were no listening ears, Finchtuft leaned in and hissed his next words. "Instead her kits have to see this lovely day without their mother."

Russetleaf - Tumbleclan - Talking to Ramhorn.

''You misunderstand, Ramhorn.'' she replied. ''I am not pinning those deaths on Echoclan, you were defending yourselves.'' Russetleaf murmured, flattening her ears. She didn't like the echoclan medicine cat, but her wise mentor had taught her to be civil, and civil she would be. The red cat bowed her head, and sighed loudly. ''I didn't wish for any war, but Tumbleclan blindly listens to Sagestar.'' Russetleaf reasoned.

Meeting the dark gaze of Weaslestorm, Russetleaf faced him with a calm face but sorrowful eyes. ''I apologize, but I see...no amount of sorry will fix this....''

"Sagestar shouldn't have started a fight. Squirrelstar was very young when her family attacked his, she was younger than a apprentice. He shouldn't have blamed all of that on her."

"Several Clans came and joined the fight, I have no clue why but whatever." Brindlepaw mewed, shrugging slightly. "Stagstep was blinded by Swanfoot, and Pigeonpaw was some deep wounds but he'll be fine after resting for a few days."

"Hi!" She chirped as Shadepaw came up.

Another battle? Skunkbrush was learning more and more he really didn't want to know. The medicine cat flexed his leg muscles, ready to spring between the cats of need be."The clans wars are not our own. Medicine cats are bonded by our need to help cats, all cats. We cannot turn or blame deaths on anyone." There should not be divides amoung the medicine cats, where would they be if there were? Still he shot a glance at Russetleaf and added,"The battle cannot be blamed on one cat, each member has a choice whether to follow their leader or not. Especially medicine cats." And with that ominous message that was totally not foreshadowing he sat back down.
