mallowpool made his way to the moonpool, his thoughts a whirl. he would meet more medicine cats today, and hopefully learn new things. he ducked his head as he came closer to the moonpool, his tail tip twitching in a sign of anxiety. he padded closer and sat down, looking at all the cats. it wasn't as bad as the gathering, but there were still too many for his taste. "hello, i am mallowpool of blueclan." he introduced himself to the rest of the cats, trying to make himself look more approachable.

Ramhorn dipped his head in greeting to Skunkbrush as he came up to him. "Echoclan is doing fine. Swanfoot blinded Stagstep and another warrior injured Pigeonpaw badly but other than that we're doing great." The white tom's ears flattened against his head. "Mossycreek has refused to talk to anyone... She accidentally killed a Tumbleclan warrior while trying to drag him away from the nursery."

Ramhorn looked over when he noticed Russetleaf, narrowing his eyes at the cat. He turned his head and nodded at Palenose and Mallowpool. "Greetings."

Brindlepaw blinked at Applepaw, confused for a moment before remembering the scars. "Oh right. Tumbleclan attacked our camp the day after the gathering. One of the warriors was trying to get into the medicine cat den so I had to keep him out. These scars are nothing! You should see the ones I left on him!" Her eyes glittered in excitement.

Cats Attending: Sootpelt and Speckledpaw weaved through the tall trunks on their way to the moonpool. Sootpelt seemed eager to go as fast as possible, but his apprentice trudged along the way with his head low. "Do you think I'll see Cricketleap? You know, at the moonpool?" Speckledpaw asked quietly, his voice cracking with sadness. "Maybe," Sootpelt mumbled absently. He normally would have been much more sympathetic, but he had only one thing on his mind: Rippleberry. She wouldn't have certainly given birth to his kits by now, and he ached to see her smile once more. When the two toms arrived at the entrance to the moonpool, Sootpelt politely dipped a greeting to the gathered cats. Speckledpaw did the same, looking around at the other apprentices.

Morningpaw smiled up at her, her fuzzy tail quivering behind her with excitement. She chirped, "Good morning ma'am, I'm Morningpaw from Thicketclan!" She sent another eager glance to the moonpool, her paws shuffling in an antsy dance. She began to blabbering about how excited she was to talk to Starclan, but also how nervous she was to be around so many cats. Her words began to accelerate, flooding out in a blurred mess that had somehow moved to the topic of frog legs. Honeyfur sighed as though this had happened before, and tapped her apprentice on the shoulder. "Morningpaw. Focus." The golden medicine cat narrowed her eyes at the newcomer, her tail flicking anxiously behind her. She quietly meowed, "I'm Honeyfur, and this ditzy kitten is my apprentice." The young apprentice let out an exaggerated offended groan, and Honeyfur's whiskers twitched ever-so-slightly from amusement. They hadn't heard of the participants in the war, (at least other than Sagestar, who had been whispered of all over town.) so they were oblivious to Tumbleclan's current reputation.

"I'm so sorry, did anycat perish?" Malloweyes had said she wanted a list of casualties but to ask so bluntly for more information...it felt wrong. The death in front of him, the death reflected in the other medicine cat's eyes, of clanmates and enemies, it felt sacred and wrong to pry at. Besides, who did that elder think she was to give him orders like Sorrelstar? He listened to his leader and nocat else. If Skunkbrush was going to learn the weaknesses of the other clans it would be for her alone. The tom nodded to himself and flicked a tail in greeting to the new arrivals, he would greet them after his business was finished.

It was an odd notion, attending a gathering without Rippleberry. Especially one that she would've enjoyed like this. So as the silver tabby neared moonpool, his expression was sour. The closer he got to the glittering pool, the more cats he spotted around the clearing. It almost made him nervous, and without his mentor to soothe his nerves, poor Finchtuft was bubbling with anxiety by the time he arrived. Aspenclan scent drifted over to him and the fur around his shoulders rose. where.

mallowpool shuffled his paws a bit as the other cats talked about a battle. "there was a battle? what injuries were there?" he asked, his eyes shining with curiousity. he didn't have much experience with treating battle wounds, so he wanted to learn everything he could from the cats here while he was able to.

So it really hadn't been that big of a war. Skunkbrush was glad for the few casualties even if his report was likely to raise a frown from a certain elder. But she had no control, no say, or at least not so long as he held Sorrelstar's ear. "I'm glad not many fell then, given how many clans were involved..." The tom stopped just short of saying it could have been worse. "If there's anything we can do to help just let me know." Skunkbrush cast a glance over at the moonpool, as perfect and reflective as always. Like it were part of the sky. "Anyone you're hoping to see?" he asked, jumping topics suddenly, "I'd just like to see Asptail, show up I mean. He isn't dead."

Nightcall entered the moonpool, late as it seemed. She looked around at all the other medicine cats. It was much calmer than the whole gathering, better for her hateful-ness of practically everything about that gathering. Taking a seat near the wall of the cave, the black she-cat simply glanced around the area.
