I smile. "So... where about around here did you live?" I ask.

Wish shrugged, "Actually, on the other side of the park, in a nice roomy loft. It was just three of us, so it was nice. We had a view of a lake and everything."

I look at Wish, trying not to act too surprised. "Just three?" I say.

"Yeah. Me, my dad, and Josh." Wish blinked slowly.

"What about your mom?" I ask, hoping I'm not bringing up any bad memories.

"She's a b****." Wish hissed quietly, then relaxed, "See, my dad married her because he thought he loved her. But he'd been gay. He was trying to turn himself straight. It worked for.... two years. Then he told her and she screamed and slapped him and told him he was going to hell and such." She waved her hand in the air lazily, "And he found a partner when he moved out.... and yeah. Happy ending."

I nod lightly, listening. "So, I guess that's why Josh turned gay too?" I say quietly.

Andrew turned around right when he heard a female voice asking a question, feeling like the question was for him. He looked at the girl, and shrugged. "I could be better." He just said, not revealing too much. He was about to ask her if she was okay, but what cut him off was the reason why he was there in the first place. He gave a small sigh, and looked at her. "What about you? Are you doing ok?" He asked, just to be friendly.

She smiled slightly and looked at him,"What's the matter?...yeah I think I'm ok..but you're not,right?"She looked concerned at him and sighed softly.Deep down she knew she wasn't ok, but she didn't want to explain it to him.

Wish shrugged, "I have no idea. He decided when he was only 12... so maybe. My mom is the ultamite homophobic."

I nod again. "My dad left when I was only a baby, and my mom would abuse my brother and I verbally and physically a lot," I say quietly. "Finally, one of the neighbours finally found out and called the police. They were going to put both of us into foster-care, but my dad took my brother, so I was the only one."
