((Ellie Marie, please give Jake an age in years.))((Sorry I was gone yesterday, guys. I was roleplaying with a newer person and we got in a bit of a disagreement about power-playing. I got pretty frustrated and I just needed a break.))
Amelia-
"Doctor Austin needs some credit, his teaching method is like listening to a song: Listen to it once, remember every word to it the second time you hear it." she said. Amelia nodded gravely as the topic of Rain came up. "Yes, I wonder if this lotion will work on her, though I highly doubt it. Rain is pretty unpredictable at this point, so its best to tranquilize her when she is in the most calm state. And for her, that seems to be with food. The only thing i'm worried about, is her collapsing when she's out. So we'll to harness her up in the stables, just to give her weary legs some support." Amelia spoke, putting her hands in her back pockets. She spun around and greeted Philip with a smile.
Athena-
The puppy yipped wildly in her pen, she was so young, and so full of energy. Maybe some chase, a game of chase would be fun. she thought, attempting to snatch her ball back from Gavin. She slipped out the gate, standing in front of the boy, ready to catch it if thrown.
Ellis raised her eyebrows. "And how do you propose getting her in the barn without her hurting herself, Amelia?" The girl was smart and talented, but sometimes she forgot that she wasn't a vet yet, as well as the fact that Ellis had been doing her job for over thirty years. "We can't even get close enough to put a halter on her, which is why we're shooting her. I'll give her the lowest dose I can, and she'll go down easy in all probability. I wish that we could harness her up, but that isn't going to happen." She turned to Phil. "Don't worry too much; I have the records from previous weeks up. You'll figure it out eventually. Amelia will put in orders and bring them to you in the office." Looking at Lotus with a small smile, she reassured her. "Although she'll need a farrier later on, right now we just need to get them short enough that she won't be in so much pain, and Amelia is perfectly qualified to do that. Even if we did call one out, there wouldn't be a whole lot he could do right now, since her hooves are so misshaped."
Gavin grinned at the puppy's enthusiasm, throwing the ball as far as he could. As he waited, he found his eyes drawn to the wiry black mutt in the end kennel. Something about the dog, Punk, facinated Gavin. The boy wished he could talk: what stories would he tell? The dog's hurt leg was a concern, but Ellis was overwhelmed with animals right now. She really needed another vet right now. She'd get to Punk, of course, but the question was when.
((Just to let you know, Apocalyptic, they feed raw food at the Estate, so he should be talking to the butcher to get a different type of meat than salmon for next week, some supplements to add to food, and some vegetables as well. Horses get their grain from the grain shop in town that Ellis trusts, and if he calls their the owner will be able to tell him what Ellis would want him to order :) ))((Also, just to clarify, Rain should be in a pasture, because it'd not only be difficult to get her in a stall, but also a danger to the horse.))((One last thing! I'm planning on making this an invite-only RP. If you know anyone (who is at the SEMI-LIT level!) give me their username and I will send them an invitation.))
