Lucien eventually sat down, albeit slow, grunting a bit as his shoulder shifted. He rested his hands in his lap, strands of his long hair escaping his ponytail. He seemed surreal. Just... what, a month ago? He had tried to take Sigma's life. Now, he was sitting beside his former-target, enjoying the night. It seemed bloody insane to him. He gave a sigh, flicking his whiskey-brown eyes to Sigma, watching as the soft breeze toyed with her dark strands of hair, the soft water and the light of the moon reflecting off her face. He still thought about their kiss. He had no clue as to why he did it, but part of him wanted to again.

[Falls]

Sigma's grey-blue eyes focused on the lake ahead, trying to pick out in the dark the waves that her ears so clearly heard. As Lucien sat down next to her she glanced over to him, going back for a double-take when she noticed he was looking at her as well. She smiled. "Did I ever thank you for sparing my life?" She asked as she crossed her legs (criss cross applesauce cuz I have no idea what that position is officially called xD) and held her ankles loosely with her hands.

Lucien cocked a brow. "No, I don't believe so. You were just grouchy about it all." he said with a shrug, flicking his eyes away for a moment as Shadowmere meandered back into the woods. He looked back to Sigma, his fiery, brown eyes meeting her foggy blue gaze. He brushed back a strand of his hair that the wind seemed determined to keep in front of his face.

[Falls]

Sigma rolled her eyes and heaved an exasperated sigh. "Well, I'm sure you would be too if some random guy attacked you and then kidnapped you... even if it was just to keep you safe..." She looked down at her feet, not bothering to brush away the stray hair that the sudden movement of her head caused. "Better late than never, right? Thank you, Lucien Lachance, for sparing my life." Though her voice held a bit of fake formality in it that was close to crossing the line into sarcasm, it had plenty of true gratitude in it as well.

[size=90]Lucien let the silence afterwards drag out for a bit. His mind was conflicting with itself once again. He looked to Sigma, instantly noticing the closeness between them. And, once again, Lucien acted on an impulse. He leaned forward and quickly pressed his lips against Sigma's.[/size ]

Sigma grew nervous as the silence dragged on, veering dangerously close to awkwardness. Was it too little too late? Was Lucien mad? She looked up at him just as he began leaning in towards her, the expression on his face reading: kissy, kissy. And this time she was ready. She closed her eyes and arched her neck, meeting Lucien halfway in a much gentler kiss in comparison to last time.

Lucien leaned into the kiss, his mind a jumble once again. His hands weaved through her blue-black hair, not as demanding and fervent as last time. Perhaps because the mood had been more peaceful? Not as volatile as in the kitchen that not? At the moment, it mattered not.

Sigma's side of the kiss was calm enough, but only because she was transferring all her Holy Crap, What's Going On??-ness to her hands which were now balled up into tight fists in her lap. After a moment she remembered her mortality which gave her the unfortunate need to breathe and she came up for air, breaking away from the kiss and inhaling sharply. She opened her eyes and looked up at Lucien's face, scanning it for some indication as to what was transpiring in his mind right now.

Lucien face held a rather baffled expression, wondering why the hell he kissed her. As usual, his breath and heartbeat was barely audible, as that was what he had learned to do. However, he smiled faintly as Sigma gasped for breath as if she wa drowning, and a satisfaction filled him, knowing what kind of effect he had on her.

Seeing Lucien's expression, Sigma let out a breathy chuckle and looked down at her lap, her face growing warm. Wow, Tess, way to go in the self-control department. You kissed him... again. She ran her fingers absently through her hair and then tucked a bit behind her ear. That was a first for her nervous habit.
