Lindal crouched down and fussed a puppy that jumped up and licked his face. He spat and stuck out his tongue, responding by licking the dog's nose.

Sam laughed at Lindal before petting an older dog that didn't seem as easily excited. He scratched it behind the ears and it responed with a wag of its tail.

Lindal continued to roll around on the floor with puppy, giggling as it yipped, jumping on his belly and nipping his ears, chewing his hair

Sam was glad he could make Lindal happy like that. He wasn't able to have his own child, not with the family business, but he was treating Lindal like he was.

Lindal paused for a moment, gasp g for air after a fit of giggles. He looked up at Sam as the puppy locked his face. He stood up and looked at the owner. "What is the doggy called?" He asked.

"His name is Max." The owner said smiling at his puppy and Lindal. "And I can tell that he likes you." He said, smiling down at them.

"He's very cute." He said truthfully, a meaning and excitement behind his words. He continued to fuss the puppy before returning to stand next to Sam, hugging against him.

The owner smiled at Lindal. "Thank you." He said before pulling out his pups lead and attaching it to his collar. "Anyway it's getting late for Max, we should head back now. Bye."

Sam returned the smile. "Alright. Bye."

"Bye!" Lindal said, stroking Max in a farewell. "What now?" Lindal looked up at Sam, eyes broad as he co to had to then loom arou d at all the other dogs but most were heading home as the sun started setting.

"We probably have to head home now, we don't want to get stuck out here when it's dark." Sam said, looking around and noticing the same thing as Lindal. Everyone way leaving. He motioned back to the way of the bunker.
