Shadowmere nickered softly, seeing that Sigma wasn't an enemy, allowing the girl the pet her. Lucien gave a soft chuckle, running his hand through Shadowmere's long, ebony mane. He knew she probably loved all this attention, the silly animal.

[Falls]

Sigma smiled and relaxed ever so slightly. She dared to reach forward with her other hand and stroke the side of Shadowmere's head, her movements still slow and cautious. "When did you get here?" she asked Lucien as her blue eyes roamed over the mare.

"Eleven years ago, when I was 13. She was a yearling whenever I found her." Lucien responded. He was calm and content whenever around his horse, it seemed. "I had found her on the verge of death." he said, pursing his lips as Shadowmere snorted, glancing at Lucien.

[Falls]

Sigma frowned slightly, letting her hands drop and looking up at Lucien. "What happened?" She tried to imagine all the possible scenarios. Was she lost and starving to death? Was she owned by an abusive person? She walked to Lucien's side, her gaze gliding over the horses's strong demeanor. She certainly didn't look bad now. Lucien seemed to be doing an amazing job at caring for Shadowmere.

Lucien looked to Shadowmere, patting her back, her ebony coat glossy in the sunlight. She was about 16 1/2 hh tall, which was quite tall for a horse, especially considering how scrawny she had been. "The farmer who had owned her didn't want her, and dropped her off at the side of the road, and he kept the mother with him. So, Shadowmere starved until I found her." Lucien said nonchalantly, though there was a spark in his eyes, showing that it angered him that his horse and once belonged to such a negligent owner.

Sigma noticed the hint of anger in Lucien's eyes and gave a soft smile. "It's pretty cool of you to come to her aid like that. Lots of people would've just driven right past her." She stepped back and looked out at the sky. The sun had completely set and the only light now came from the full moon. "We should probably continue on our walk before it gets too cold," she glanced down at Lucien's bare torso and smirked. "...Mr. I'm-too-cool-to-wear-a-shirt. Idiot..." The last word almost sounded endearing the way she said it.

Lucien gave a chuckle, rolling his eyes. "I'm too sexy to wear a shirt." Lucien laughed in his velvety voice, giving a smirk as they began walking once again, Shadowmere trailing behind them,

Sigma rolled her eyes at Lucien's remark and just shook her head, trying her best to hide a grin. She followed the path, glancing off in the direction of her and Vicente's detour as they passed by. She thought of showing it to Lucien, but then thought better of it. "So... I'm leaving tomorrow. Figured I'd let you know. I'll be out of your abnormally long hair in no time." She gave a lopsided smile, but wasn't able to put her whole heart into that last tease. She still didn't want to go. But she was pretty sure she'd overstayed her welcome as far as Lucien was concerned. She looked away from Lucien's face and down at the ground, suddenly sullen.

Lucien turned back, looking at Sigma as she spoke. His cocky smile fell to a somber expression, a frown on his lips now. In the while he had known Sigma, he came to know her as more than that "girl who looks like Allison". Sigma was entertaining to him, gave him more purpose than to just assassinate people. "You don't have to go..." Lucien mumbled in a low voice, his whiskey-brown eyes locked onto Sigma's foggy blue eyes, which were currently avoiding him.

Sigma's grey-blue eyes snapped back up to Lucien's face and she regarded him with the same incredulity as she would have if he'd told her his horse could talk. Who are you and what have you done with Lucien?? "I-I'm surprise to hear that coming from you," she said, her voice shocked into a soft murmur. She looked out at the path ahead of them, sliding her hands into the pockets of her sweatpants as she continued to speak. "I thought I had overstayed my welcome as it was."
