"Oh yeah? What's your taste then?"

"This may surprise, but I'm actually more into cozy places. Huge apartments that are mostly empty aren't really my style. I've rather just have a decently sized place that actually feels like a home."

[Piera]

"Hm, nice. Good thing cities are full of tiny one room houses." Tate laughed. "Lemme guess, curl up with a good book while it rains too? A billion house plants?" Tate was basing all this on movies he'd seen.

Travis flushed slightly, sensing Tate was teasing him, "well, that doesn't sound too bad. I'd probably finally get a dog, my dads allergic so we can't have one, and maybe a boyfriend who doesn't suck." He laughed, "I don't know, it's all a dumb dream. I'll live in a cruddy studio apartment till I die, alone with a thousand flash drives of broken code."

[Piera]

"You wouldn't be alone, you'd have a dog. But hey, you ever do, you can come here and work on my farm. Sure there'd be something you could do. You were prerty good a cleaning the stables." Tate grinned, having a small chuckle. "Speaking of dogs, got one round here somewhere."

"Right, that's my real dream, to be your farmboy forever. Although you telling me what to do all the time doesn't sound to bad," Travis winked with a laugh that quickly became an ugly snort. He brightened up at the mention of a dog, "you have a dog?" He asked excitedly.

Tate couldn't help but laugh at Travis's snorts. "Guess I'll have to order you around more if you like it so much. About the dog, yeah we got one. Technically not ours, feral but I feed it. He's prety cool, got a big scar on his face. I reckon he fights with coyotes."

"Want me to call you sir, too?" Travis grinned, "feral? Is he dangerous?"

[Piera]

"I wouldn't hate it." Tate smiled. "And no, not exactly dangerous. Timid but I guess only around people. Lotsa people dump pets out here. Obviously cats don't last long with dogs and coyotes. Swear, once saw a poodle out here, no lie."

"You got it, sir," Travis winked over dramatically before frowning, "what jerks. I've never liked the kind of people who get pets then once they realize they actually have to care for it, just toss it away. It's so unfair to the animals."
