"It's complicated."
He felt very on the spot. He couldn't afford to say anything, and yet. Jakub had come to him of all people. He should feel honored.
He'd just tell the truth. "There is a terrible thing that you can't know about until we can take care of it. If you knew, it would unleash itself and destroy us. We can take care of it, but we need you to stay calm and trust us. You shouldn't be in danger at the moment, so bare with me, please. I would tell you if I safely could. Just don't get emotional if you can help it."
He knew he was being dramatic and vague, but he couldn't risk triggering Jakub's emotions.

"Uh, nothing, magic? Er, I think I might... Disagree. A little. You know, somehow those rune thingies look a bit like, you know, uh, magic. And you have a little something on your, everywhere. Just wanted to make sure that all the uh, explosions, were intentional. Or, at least, not, you know, lethal, or any- Woah, that sword is shiny. Is that some sort of forgotten artifact? You know, I count myself as a blade enthusiast, and I've never seen anything like it." Jack paused for a moment, not sure what to say.
"So, what's with the sword? It looks pretty cool. Can I touch it?"

Jakub looked puzzled...

Hmmm... This sounds just like the time I... wait that's not right when was that? Hmmm... I don't know were i was going with that... but somthing seems wrong here. If it has to do with me i wish you would tell me... maybe i could help... i mean i think the person who knows the most about me is... well me. Hahaha!!! I mean how bad could it possibly be... oh let me guess my whole life is a lie... hahaha. A great evil lurks within me... hahaha. Come on brother nothing to be so secretive about

With that Jakub lay his firm hand on Ferondirs shoulder. His eyes suggested he knew something but no one could possible know what.

Ferondir looked him straight in the eye. He clearly wanted to know. And even though Ferondir felt he would be hurting Jakub...
"I'll tell you everything on one condition. You've got to stay emotionless. Can you promise me that?" His tone was as serious as the day he'd almost killed his best friend.

Amethyst wasn't enjoying the drama going on around here. Everything was strange and to the extreme, the amount of magic was exorbitant for such a small group of people it seemed, and events seemed to be fighting at odds with each other. The only reasonable people seemed to be Della and Guzore. Watching the rest of the group go up for marshmallows, she decided it would be better tor retreat and look for Sapphire. If she was anywhere, she'd be in the lake. She dove herself and searched for a while before finding her near the bottom. She laid there next to her silently for a bit, than turned to her sister and began to speak.

"Why did you join these people? They're dangerous and chaotic. They have no plan and no boundaries. Do we have to stay with them? Can't we just ask to keep the mansion and live here by the lake? It'd be a nice place to stay."

Jakub laughed again and said.

I can take it my friend... I have been through many hardships in the 27 years i have been alive, i think i can handle whatever is going on here. I think staying out of the loop of things is the thing stressing me out the most... haha

He moved out of the doors threshold to let Jack in the room.
Zeph put his hand on the back of his neck, reclusively.
actually I'm not sure what it is.

Yeah. Go for it.
Zeph bent down, scattering and shuffling papers that had cascaded all over the ground around the sword.
He swiftly drew a line through one of the symbols, causing the purple light etched into the ground to dissipate, and leave an empty scorch mark of what previously existed.
Zeph picked up the sword.
As he moved it, the sword left a distortion in the air, that decayed within milliseconds.
As well, the swords blade seemed to glow a faint silver.
If all went well, the sword had lots of capabilities.

Zeph held the sword out towards jack.
and don't touch the tip. zeph added, quickly.

Alright then. He asked for it.
"We were sucked into your mindscape and met someone who claimed to be the real you. He says he's trapped inside you with the evil that trapped him. He's trying to escape, but he's bound to that same evil. So if he escapes, so will she. Just avoid intense emotion for a while, that should slow them down until we can safely release them both."

"I knew that if I avoided everyone, I would never make any friends. So I tried interacting with them to see if I could make friends and be a bit happier. Della is my friend, I think, along with Guzore, but otherwise it wasn't working out. I stayed with them after that because of the thunderstorm, but I don't like this friend-making thing. There are just too many risks. One day, they are inviting you to their group, the next day they are fighting ghosts and each other. I think you are right, it is safer to have no friends, that way they can't get the chance to destroy you or somebody close to you. But let them keep the mansion. This lake is pretty enough and can hold us both."

"We're going to go roast marshmallows!" Della explained to Drimaethor. "Guzore found some, and I think it's a great idea to relax and have a tasty treat." She decided, then remembered the two Zoras. She was sure they would love to have marshmallows. But where did they go? She was fairly certain she saw the one that was not Sapphire heading towards the lake... "Hey Guzore, I'll be back." She promised. "I'm going to go see if the Zoras want to have marshmallows with us." She smiled, then left the mansion, running toward the lake.
