[Veins Of Opal]

Vicente cocked a brow, pursing his lips. "I imagined that, when the opportunity came, you'd leave as soon as you could. Why do you want to stay...?" he asked softly, his crimson eyes holding her foggy blue gaze as he folded his arms across his chest. He glanced towards the main room as he heard the hatch shut, and knew it was Lucien going to get some air.

Sigma nodded, looking away from Vicente again, her eyes searching the empty space as if looking for the answer there. "I thought I'd leave right away as well. I guess I... I dunno. I guess I just didn't bank on you being here. Or on Lucien being so much fun to tease. Being here is like being on vacation away from my life of solitude as a hacker. But vacations have to end sometime, don't they?" Sigma looked up at the vampire's crimson eyes, her face sad. "I'll leave tomorrow. As far as Lucien's concerned, yesterday is probably too late anyway."

Vicente gave a frown. He quickly leaned forward, giving her a tight hug. "If you do leave, please visit sometime." the vampiric assassin said to Sigma, giving a soft sigh.

Lucien led Shadowmere to the nearby lake, talking softly to the mare about his mind and such. She always listened, and he was always calm with Shadowmere. Whenever he reached the lake, he kicked off his boots, setting his feet in the cool, clear water, The water at the shore reached his ankles, and was crystal clear. Shadowmere walked into the shallow part of the lake, drinking some of the water. Lucien loved the serenity and peacefulness, and he felt as if he couldn't get enough of it.

Sigma couldn't help but smile again, pressing her face into his shoulder and hugging him back. "Maybe I will." She stepped back after a moment and glanced towards the doorway. "I think I'll go work out a bit down in the training room. Do you want to spar with me?"

Vicente furrowed his brow, thinking for a moment. "I think I'll try to get some sleep at the moment. I was out for quite awhile last night. If I'm still sleeping when you're done, feel free to go out for a walk without me." Vicente spoke with a smile, getting interrupted with his own yawn.

[Falls]

Sigma nodded. "Alright. See you then!" She cast one last smile in his direction as she walked out the door and down the hallway. Quickly, she descended the stairs and entered the training room. Soon she was breathing hard, kicking and punching out at a smaller dummy, grunting with the effort of each blow. Though she was small and therefore rather weak, she was fast, her hands and feet almost a blur when she really tried.

Vicente went into his room, plopping down onto his bed with a tired sigh. He didn't bother with changing into nightclothes, and the vampire quickly fell to sleep.

Lucien bent down, picking up a rock and running his thumb across it. Tossing the rock with a flick of his wrist, the rock skipped across the surface of the water a good few times before, finally, sinking into the depth of the lake. The sunset cast a variety of colours into the surface of the water. Shadowmere still meandered about on the shore and occasionally in the water, but Lucien enjoyed the company of his faithful mare.

Sigma spent a good hour in the training room. By the time she finished, she was sore and out of breath but satisfied. She climbed the stairs and went into the bathroom, changing into a clean shirt and washing the blood off of her knuckles. She took a fewminutes to take the braids out of her hair, running her fingers through the soft mass a few times and then walking out of the bathroom to find Vicente.

Vicente still lay in his bed, his hair having escaped it's ponytail, now splayed out and a bit tangled.

Eventually, Lucien went back to the Fort, riding Shadowmere at a walk bareback. He hadn't wanted to walk back, so he figured he might as well make Shadowmere useful. Once they arrived at the hatch, he slowly, carefully dismounted, and patted the mare's neck gently, tuning and going through the hatch and back into the Fort.

Sigma gave a soft smile, silently watching Vicente's sleeping form for a moment before turning and walking to the main room. She entered just as Lucien descended the ladder. "So that's where you went..." she mumbled, glancing up at the hatch. She ran her fingers through her hair with a sigh. "I'm going up for a walk. Do you like to walk around up there?" she asked in her lame attempt to vaguely invite him to this walk.
