Tangleclaw flashed a grateful glance at the other Tom, his heart thumping wildly in his chest. "Thanks," He meowed again, blinking and taking a bite and pushing it towards Dappledpelt and offering him a bite before he took another one. "Not bad; busy, as usual." He said in return to the tom. He knew what he was feeling, and he wasn't even sure whether Dappledpelt would return the feelings -- or if he was even...interested in toms. "What about you...?"

Dappledpelt

"My day was u-uneventful as usual. Sunspot's getting quite b-big. She s-said she'd name a kit a-after me, nice, huh?" He said and flicked his tail. Dappledpelt took a bite of the sparrow. He hoped the tom didn't notice how anxious he was.

Tangleclaws ear twitched in interest. "That's sweet of her," He meowed; since the stutter in his voice was usual, he didn't stop to question how anxious the other Tom was. "Who's the father?" He meowed out of curiousity, tilting his head at Dappledpelt.

Dappledpelt

"A tom- his n-name is Briarleg. N-nice fellow." He said. "Anything h-happening with your friends?" Dappledpelt enjoyed hearing about his crush, it calmed him. He purred and stroked Tangleclaw's flank lightly with his tail.

Tangleclaw smiled in a reasonably cheerful manner. "I've seen him at gatherings...he seems like a good cat." He meowed, looking at Dappledpelt as he asked him about his own friends and twitching an ear. This time around, they were making good conversation, and not just filled with an awkward silence. "My sister has a mate now, I think," The grey tabby meowed. "It's only a matter of time until she's heading to the nursery, she's getting fairly plump."

Dappledpelt

"You're going to be an uncle, how exciting." Dappledpelt said with a smile. He took another mouthful of sparrow, and fiddled with the feathers he'd collected. It was a relatively calm night, so there wasn't much wind. He looked up and gazed at Silverpelt for a moment, as he listened to Tangleclaw.

Tangleclaw shrugged, taking another mouthful of sparrow, managing to brush his muzzle against the other's shoulder accidentally as he drew back, and found himself growing hot beneath his fur. He glanced away from the other tom, at the sparrow, out of embarrassment. "Yes," He meowed. "Although I won't have much of a chance to visit them for the first few weeks that they're in the nursery. Duskfur -- the father -- is already smothering her enough as it is." He meowed, his whiskers twitching with amusement. "What about you though? Any siblings?"

Dappledpelt

"Ah." Dappledpelt commented. "Yes, I have a s-sister as well. She's the m-medicine cat." He said, waving his tail. "It's a nice n-night, huh?" He said, taking a deep breath and gazed at Tangleclaw.

Tangleclaw gave a warm purr. "She seems like a nice cat." He replied, twitching his tail as he gave a small stretch, his jaws opening slightly in a half-stifled yawn. "It is....not a cloud in the sky." He purred.

Dappledpelt

"You t-tired? We can rest for a f-few hours if you'd like." Dappledpelt said, blinking slowly. He glanced at the eaten bird and picked it up, jumping off the rock to bury it. As he dug, he smiled. Dappledpelt enjoyed being around Tangleclaw.
