Asperity
Perrine fell back as her companion growled, swishing his tail protectively around the two of them. The glowing creatures around them continued to pace, not seeming to want to come any closer, and she fought to regain control of herself. What could this possibly be...? Another trick designed by this place...? Glancing over at the sign bearing the riddle, she was alarmed to see that it was starting to glow slightly. When something starts to glow slightly, that's usually nOT a good sign.

Asperity
"Ugh..." Perrine knew in her gut that her companion was right, but she was paralyzed by indecision as she stared at the three paths. "Y-you're right... come on!" she forced herself to say, grabbing the other viscet's paw and dragging him towards the first entrance she saw: the dark forest. As they approached, the ghostly creatures seemed to shy aside, making way for them. Perrine looked back once, the words of the riddle echoing in her mind as she tried one last time to think of what it could mean... but as she looked back, the ghostly creatures loomed before her vision, and she shrank back. Before she could chicken out, she grasped her companion's paw tightly and plunged into the forest.
The path below her seemed to drift away from her feet, and Perrine's jaws opened in a silent scream of terror as everything went black. The only thing she could feel was her companion's paw clutched tightly in hers as they spiraled into space...[/i]

Riddle (IM A HORRIBLE RPER IM SORRY)
Riddle breathlessly followed along with Asperity, keeping a close eye on his surroundings.
He didn't mind Asperity's tight grasp on his paw, he held hers just as tight and didn't have time to think about it.
As they crashed into the forest, his vision started to fade as the world went back.
"Asperity?" He gasped, as if he only had one more minute to live. "Riddle. Call me Riddle."

Asperity
Perrine felt her companion's paw grasp hers just as tightly, and she looked around herself in utter alarm as the world actually started to fade around the edges. I have never been known to faint in an emergency before, what the heck is this? Her companion's overdramatically breathless voice in her ear didn't really help with the whole terrifying nature of the situation, but she snapped her head around to listen anyway, hoping that he had a sudden brain wave as to what to do to get the two of them out of this mess. However, instead... "Riddle. Call me Riddle, said the viscet, and Perrine actually had to stop and turn her brain around to realize that it was his name he was telling her.
Now.
"Alright, try this on for size: Riddle, my friend, shut up until you have something relevant towards the situation to say!" she snapped, totally confused-- and annoyed-- by this unfathomable viscet who chose the strangest times to make such revelations as his secret name. But even though she professed to be irritated at his bad timing, as the last of the blackness took over her vision, she clung just as tightly to Riddle's paw and felt a little warm glow in her chest as she thought about the fact that she knew his name now.
That was her last thought before everything went dark. And then they crashed onto a Very Spiky Surface, and all warm and sentimental thoughts were driven clear out of her mind in favor of yelping loudly in pain.
(it's no problem omg ;;)

Riddle
You're right, I'm dumb, Riddle silently snapped at her. I'm sorry I'm too stupid to think of what to do stranded in SPACE!
But Riddle didn't have the gut to say it out loud, Asperity too was having a tough time. And honestly he didn't know why he said it either.
Perhaps out of fear? He'd always known what was going on, even in scary situations. But this was something else entirely.
Riddle didn't have time to think about it because without warning they suddenly crashed into something.
Pain shot through his body, but all he could think about was how hurt the yelp that came from his companion sounded.
He wanted to ask if she was alright, but he didn't feel like he could do anything.
Suddenly, a bright burst of eerie green light shot down right at the two Viscets. It felt warm and almost comforting, as if luring them in.
