[wolf ;;]

Mani then wondered around the house, picking out things she thought would be useful, especially bandages, they would come in handy. She was just about done, when she saw someone come down from the stairs, out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head, only to have one of her younger siblings barrel into her, obviously wanting a hug. "Irene...! Get off!" Mani muttered, trying to shake the young girl off, but she wouldn't budge, only clinging tighter to her. Mani let out a huge sigh, and she swung the bag onto her back. "Irene I'm kinda busy." She said, and she went to say something else, only to have Irene move from clinging to her side to clinging to her arm. "I wanna help!" She insisted, and Mani scowled. "No, Irene, now go back and sleep or play with your dolls or whatever." She muttered, finally shaking her off and walking outside...but of course, Irene followed.

[hypnowave]

Castor watched as two wolves emerged from the house. From above, it was harder to distinguish them, but he knew that one of them was Mani. The other, well, he wasn't sure, but he knew enough to keep quiet and back away. He just hoped that his feather wasn't a dead giveaway; hopefully the other wolf would take the feather for that of a bird's, or better, not notice it at all. He just had to keep silent, hope for the best, and with luck Mani would get things done.

As soon as they reached outside, Mani glanced around for Castor, not seeing him anywhere. "Who are you looking for?" Irene asked, flicking an ear. "Its none of your business, now go back inside or I'll tell your parents that you weren't doing the right thing." Mani muttered, and at that her sister rushed inside.

[hypnowave]

Once there was silence, Castor dared look down. He poked his head and saw Mani alone, which made him feel safe enough to fly down. He took a small leap upwards and let his wings glide him downwards, where he landed with the softest thump. Another feather came off his wing and landed two of three feet away. Castor then looked at Mani with a questioning point to his eyes, as he wanted to know who the other wolf was.

Mani waited a moment, and she turned her head when she heard a soft thump. She saw the questioning look, and gave a slight shrug. "That was just my sister, Irene, she means no harm and I told her nothing, so she thinks I came alone." She said simply, before she motioned to the bag she had. "I've got the iodine and a few other things in here. Lets go someplace else, so we hopefully don't get caught by anyone here." She added, and then the wolf began to walk away, through the rest of the place.

Castor nodded and followed her, his feet as silent as his wings were whenever he flew. He wondered how the iodine would help, as he didn't know how it worked. And besides, he was used to traditional medicine treatments. Again he berated himself to try new things, but it slowly hit him that he had to return to the forest soon. He didn't like it here, he realized. And he probably never would.

Mani glanced around as she reached the end of the street, and she walked across the road - there was a park. It had a few places to sit, and it was quiet, so it would be good. She walked to one of the benches, and took the bag off her back, placing the bag down. She didn't say a word, although she motioned for Castor to sit. She then opened the bag, searching through it before she took out the iodine - she had never done this herself, but she had seen Michael do it for Irene and the others a few times...it couldn't be too hard, right?

[hypnowave]

Castor sat down as she'd told him to do. His wings lowered and pressed against his sides, and he kept glancing at his arm in worry. He just hoped that Mani knew what she was doing. If he was in the forest by now, he would've gathered what he needed, but he had to trust her. That was what he had to do from the start, wasn't it?

[wolf ;;]

After the iodine came the cotton balls, which she had made sure she had packed, and then she glanced at him. He's most likely never seen this stuff before...lets just hope the iodine doesn't sting too much. Mani thought, and then she opened the iodine bottle, holding one of the cotton balls where the lid had been before she tipped it upside down, holding the cotton ball where it was, so the iodine would go on the cotton. She then put the lid back on the iodine once she was done, and flicked an ear. "Alright, I need your arm." She said, motioning to Castor's sprained arm.

[hypnowave]

After a split-second's worth of hesitation, Castor let her hold his arm. He didn't know what to expect from the iodine; the word itself still sounded foreign in his ears, more than any modern word he'd heard lately. At the same time, though, it sounded painstakingly familiar. He just couldn't out his finger on it. He decided to just leave the word as it was, and hope that the chemical wasn't as strange as its name.
