1x1 Silent Symphony & Of the Falls

[Veins Of Opal]

Lucien inclined his head with a grumpy growl. His hair had bits of leaves and twigs from his mad dash through the forest atop of Shadowmere. And, of course, there was blood matting parts of his hair here and there. Lucien was silent as he let Sigma fix his hair.

[Falls]

Sigma found Lucien's hair tie hanging from a mass of tangles. With a bit of trouble she pulled it free, putting it around her wrist for when she finished. After a while of picking small leaves from his hair and trying to comb out the knots, she sat back with a huff. "If I didn't know better, Lucien Lachance, I'd say you were trying to bring in the whole forest in this hair of yours. Look at all these leaves!" she exclaimed, slightly annoyed. She stood. "I'll be back. I'm gonna go get your hairbrush, Rapunzel."

Lucien rolled his eyes, watching as she walked off to grab the hair brush. His muscular torso still had splotches of his blood on it, but he didn't care. With effort, he stood with a huff, making his way to the stool by the counter. Sitting down with a groan, he ran a and over his tender shoulder, then through his messy hair, frowning.

[Falls]

[there's a counter in the main room?]
Sigma found the brush where she'd left it after her last shower. She grabbed it and walked back to the main room to find Lucien off of the floor and sitting at a stool instead. "I don't think you should be moving around, Lucien," she said, walking to him and taking his hair up in her hands once more. With the brush she finished the job quickly, tying his hair up in the usual ponytail and stepping back. "I should've given you pigtails and braids just to bug you," she mumbled with a half-hearted smirk.

Lucien gave a scowl. "That wouldn't be nice." he grumbled groggily, sitting up straight with a groan. He flicked his syrup-brown eyes to Sigma. "So, what have you and Vicente been up to while I was out?" he asked with a yawn, which was an indication that he'd probably doze off soon.

[Falls]

Sigma shrugged, returning to her usual chair and plopping down onto it. The first thing that popped into her head were Vicente's lessons. But she wanted to show Lucien first hand, not tell him. "Nothing particularly exciting. He let me tag along on one of his walks. He let me read his books too." Her eyes remained on his pale face as she spoke, watching him carefully for any signs of something going wrong.

Lucien gave a nod, slowly getting out of his stool and slowly sinking into one of the chairs. He gave a tired sigh, picking at some of the blood on her skin. "I see. You got along then." he said, more of a statement than a question, he leaned back sleepily, yawning.

[Falls]

Sigma nodded. "I'm pretty sure it's impossible for anyone to not get along with him," she said, still watching him closely. "He's a pretty mellow guy." She saw him yawn and sunk down into her chair, getting comfy for the sleepless night ahead. "Go to sleep. It's obvious you're exhausted." She glanced over at the blood on the wall. "I'm cleaning you and the wall up tomorrow, so don't be surprised if I attack you with a sponge when you wake," she added as she closed her eyes.

Lucien gave a sleepy grumble, followed by a jumble of words that weren't understandable. Lucien's eyes remained closed, his skin a shade paler than it was meant to be, he slipped into a dreamless sleep.

Poor Sigma hardly slept that night. She slipped in and out of a dreadfully light doze, watching Lucien's sleeping form all the while and hoping that his stillness was only the quiet calm of sleep and not death. He'd been so pale when he'd drifted off and it worried her. When she woke again around 6 am, she stood and went to the kitchen. After finding a sponge under the sink, she wet it and brought it to the main room along with a spray bottle of cleaning fluid. She set to work on the wall first, spraying and scrubbing at the dark red mess.
