coalstar // female // 28 moons // tags: clementineflower (court of the butterflies)
she nodded in agreement to clementineflower's statement. after all, it was only coalstar's second time attending a gathering. she was still surprised at how many cats were there, though thankfully she had found everything much less overwhelming this time. last time she attended, she had only just founded her clan a moon prior. now that her clan had grown, she couldn't help but feel grateful that she wasn't joining the gathering alone this moon.
coalstar's brow furrowed in thought. "we're still a pretty new clan, there aren't many of us right now. but everyone I've welcomed are overall good cats, and they've worked hard this past moon," she gave the molly a small smile, "I couldn't be prouder of my clan." considering that she had only founded lightclan a few moons ago, she was impressed with the amount of cats who had joined already. not like she had been particularly picky with who she let join, she wasn't one to care much about where her clanmembers came from. she paused for a moment before asking, "what about your clan? the court of the butterflies?" for the past few moons, coalstar had been so focused on her own clan- it would be nice to learn about the others as well.
thornstrike // male // 33 moons // tags: marchsnow (duckclan)
"ha, thank you." thornstrike said with a soft chuckle. though he had never been one for much conversation, it was nice having someone else to talk to at the gathering. besides, marchsnow seemed like a overall good, if somewhat anxious, cat. his gaze flicked to the gathering for a moment, briefly glancing over the other cats. it was interesting to see the different cats. of course, he recognized none of them, but he couldn't help but wonder what the other clans were like. "how is it in duckclan, anyway?" the question itself was a bit vague, but he didn't know what else to ask. after all, it was his first time interacting with someone from another clan. he was still trying to get into the swing of things.
eggnog // female // 14 moons // tags: collerettewink (chessclan)
she listened as the other molly described her clan's territory, giving a small nod after she was finished speaking. "oh, that sounds nice..." she said wistfully, her voics trailing off. eggnog paused for a moment, trying to picture the area in her mind. a little mountain valley seemed... cozy. safe. eggnog had never seen mountains up close before, and had only seen the vague outlines of them from a distance. some were visible west of lightclan's territory, but they were far, and it would take at least a couple days to reach them. since they were still a newer clan, the group of cats hadn't spent much time exploring the areas around their territory. this meant that nobody else in lightclan had been to the mountains yet, either, so they were unfamiliar to most of them. but if she were to guess, mountains would protect a clan's territory well with how big and tall they looked. overall, she could see why collerettewink spoke so fondly of their territory.
their territory also sounded very different than lightclan's, which resided over the vast moors. "ours has a lot of wide fields. it's pretty out in the open, but our camp is a bit more protected." she paused for a moment, thinking about the dense trees that surrounded camp. they loomed over lightclan's camp, providing shelter to the cats who lived there. other clusters of trees were spread throughout the territory, but those tended to be a bit sparser. "it might not be, y'know, super concealed or anything, but it's nice. we haven't had any predators so far, and its easier to spot things like prey and herbs." she stopped, only then realizing that she was speaking at a much quicker pace than before. eggnog tended to ramble when she got excited, a habit that she'd like to break one day. making sure to keep her voice calmer, she added, "I like how open it is, it makes me feel free. and you can see the stars so clearly at night, too! it's so pretty." she purred, giving a content smile. as much as eggnog loved being at the gathering, talking about her clan made her a bit homesick. but she'd be back there soon enough, so it would be best for her to make the most of this gathering while she was still there. and besides, she was enjoying her conversation with collerettewink. even though they had only just recently met, she really liked the other molly's company.
swancry // 17 moons // tags: owlglare (tidalclan)
she nodded, tearing her gaze from the gathering to look at owlglare. the molly's question itself was a bit vague, but she'd explain the most she knew about her clan. "lightclan's nice, everyone's pretty friendly for the most part. I like it there." she said with a small shrug. "so far, at least. I haven't been there for long. I joined a couple moons or so ago- they needed a medic, so they let me join." even though swancry was fairly young for a clan medic, she was knowledgable about herbs. growing up with an interest in healing had proven to be useful, and had given her an important role in her new clan.
swancry had never been great at continuing conversation, but she might as well give it a shot. tilting her head slightly to one side, she asked, "what about your clan?"
