Lucas gladly took the queen, with a rook. He was really focusing on the rooks, apparently knowing more random trivia and proverbs involving birds than expected, most of the proverbs learned from Lazarus and the miscellaneous trivia from textbooks. And puns. Dreadfully bad puns. He also had a plan for if Three's rooks managed to all be taken down. He was really capitalizing on the double meaning.

"But kings do that too, y'know," he said, desperately, attempting to target 3's rooks next for his plan that may or may not work, risking his queen to attempt to do... anything at this point.

He nervously moved his king, again aiming for taking of more rooks, rendered almost speechless by the sheer tension. But it was invigorating. He grinned despite being very close to losing. No gambits involved, but still entertaining...

Three moved their pawns, now moving together, towards Lucas' king again, allowing him to take their rook.

"Humanity cannot live without shelter. It is a basic need." he said before taking Three's rook with a smirk.

Three used their round to have their pawns work together to quickly build a new rook, taking their focus off Lucas' king for a moment.

Lucas continued with his strategy of relying heavily on the rooks, playing with great anticipation.

((I can only see one post? But good! Idk where to go next exactly, I was thinking at some point Three will go back to their mum's fortress and will invite Lucas along to look at the plants and stuff, but probably not in the holidays, bc they need to stay at the academy to do their job.))
