"If you say so." his tail flicked. "Avoiding war is better then cat death, even if you think it won't happen to your side." he finished, ears raised. He had caught Harespring speaking with a kittypet cat, but didn't say anything and looked back at Orchidmoon.

He nodded. "Oh, my clan is warriors by night and day. Its a basic clan; the 'starter' ranks, and such. We hunt at day and rest at night, so I guess it isn't that different then yours. Our preypile is always stocked, though!" he chimed, his tail flicking.

She rolled her eyes with a scoff. "Have you?" she retorted, her tail lashing back and forth. (Sorry this is short don't have any ideas! ^^)

Before Almondjoy could respond, he meowed, "Its not the best idea. There are rocks in the middle to get over it if your strong enough, and the currents are strong. I hear that cats spines can get crushed along the way! Thats why kits and apprentices aren't going to be allowed over there." Almondjoy scoffed. "I think..you maybe could?" He offered. "I'll ask Troutstar and let you know next gathering or something of the sorts? Maybe our clans are bordered and we just don't know! Or we can be allies!" he exclaimed. "Calm yourself Pecan." Forestfire meowed sternlyish.

"Not really, but theres some." he replied with a nod. "We have an expecting queen, and.." he paused. "Harespring, our deputy, was on patrol with Utensilpoke, or the expecting queen before she was expecting, and a small snowslide of some sort erupted. Utensilpoke was fine, but Harespring needed to rest for a moon." he meowed finally, tipping his ears to listen to the breeze. "And me and Sunset joined the clan." Robinpaw chimed in quietly.

"I suppose. We all did okay though; no deaths, and only a few snowslides." he meowed. "I love Newleaf the best; its always so fun!" his eyes glittered. "Anyways, I like Greenleaf the best. I like hot weather." his whiskers twitched.

Even still, Leafbare's cold is quite rough on the toughest of cats. I wonder what it's like to live somewhere warm year round..." Ivyblossom paused, entertaining the idea for moment. Would she rather live by the beach, or somewhere with a lot of trees? She shook herself of the train of thought, and turned back to her fellow deputy. "I assume you live in a warmer climate than mountains, right? What does TidalClan call home?"

textThe soft, earthy smell of herbs was strong on the wind. Applefall was first to spot the source. "Duskpaw, look there!" he murmured, smiling at the nervous tortoiseshell encouragingly. "I think I see another healer coming." And sure enough, two cats trotted up to them moments later. Applefall was a cat with manners, offering them a polite smile and nod as they approached. The older tom, Poppyflower, was equally courteous and jovially introduced himself and the young apprentice by his side as Kiwipaw.

text"Pleasure to meet you!" Applefall mewed in return. "My name is Applefall, and my apprentice here is Duskpaw. We're healers of SpruceClan, though I believe most clans would know us as medicine cats."

textDuskpaw, only half-listening as her mentor returned the introductions and chattered on with Poppyflower, snuck a peek at the accompanying apprentice around her age. The other she-cat met her gaze with a slight smile. Duskpaw ducked her head, suddenly shy. Applefall, not breaking eye contact with Poppyflower, nudged her gently with a tail, and she jolted. Her mentor had eyes in the back of his head! "Hi," she managed, one paw shuffling against the ground, but with both eyes trained on Kiwipaw. "I'm Duskpaw. Where are you from?"

textJayswoop swallowed thickly, choking down the lump in his throat as he was surrounded on all three sides by she-cats he thought he'd lost forever. His family was here. His family was really here. There was no way this could be a dream, because the press of Neptune's nose to his cheek was cold, cold, cold, and Juniper's side against his was warm. It had to be real. "I missed you so much," he blubbered, tears leaving saltwater trails down both grey cheeks. Neptune just licked his forehead, while Juniper pressed even closer.

textHe sniffled and cleared his throat, turning to look at Magpie. His sister was sitting a little ways away from their family's huddle. There was something shining in her eyes, something desperate, and Jayswoop's heart sunk a bit in his chest. "I... I'm sorry," he murmured. "I didn't see Lichen when I woke up." Maybe it was selfish, but before Magpie could respond, Jayswoop spoke up again. He wasn't sure if he could handle her disappointment. "But you two must be warriors now, right? Your names... what names did they give you?"

textNight's quiet, dry remark caught Crown of Embers completely off guard, and a sharp laugh burst out before he could help himself. "Yes," Embers chuckled, shoulders still heaving with humor, "I'd have to agree. It's quite interesting to see the differences between clan life and our own, isn't it? I certainly think our names are much more elegant." Pausing for a moment, the monarch took in the young queen before him. Night of the Stars was smaller than he was (but that was not unusual given his own impressive height), and it occured to Embers suddenly that he might be looming over her as he spoke. As smoothly as he could, Embers softened his smile and quickly settled his haunches onto the ground. Better to speak eye to eye like friends. "So tell me, how far did you travel to come here? I've heard it was quite a long journey for some."

text Lily’s Grace hummed under her breath as she entered the Gathering. As always, she split from Crown of Embers quickly and made her way into the deepest parts of the crowd. Lily paused only a moment to brush dust from her face with a paw, clearing away any distracting smells, before scenting the clearing. Herbal, earthy aromas were what she hoped to pick up on— the tell-tale sign of another cat that spent their days paw-deep in medicinal plants. And with this many clans in attendance, it took no time at all for her to pick up a trail and follow it.

textIf her nose was telling the truth, this cat was one of her kind. “Excuse me!” she called, trotting after the source with a little thrill of interest. The stranger turned, alerted by her cries, and Lily grinned. “Yes, you there! You’re a medicine cat, right? I’ve been looking to find some good company for the evening, and I’d be honored if you wouldn’t mind sharing your time.”

Loststar eyed the curled eared tom and ignore him, he turned to the molly, "Hello, I am Loststar of Stormclan."

Rivermist - Warrior - Halfnight of Venusclan
Rivermist swiped at the molly, "You piece of fox dung!" she hissed. "Get out of my way!" Rivermist's fur was on end and her claws out, she purposely missed her swipe as a warning but had no problems taking her frustrations out on this cat.

Umberleap - Warrior - Embershadow of Tidalclan and Laerke of Lotusclan
Umberleap saw the tortie tom come towards her and she smiled, "I don't mind some company, my name is Umberleap of Stormclan." Just ask she looked to the side she saw another cat nod at her and introduce themselves. She was becoming popular it seems, "I don't think we have, it is a pleasure Laerke, my name is Umberleap and this is... I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?" She turned back to the tortie tom.

tuxedopaw's ears perked as she heard her name, and whirled towards the sound, a grin spreading on her face. "hey guys!" she said cheerfully, nudging her brother closer to their siblings.

hyacinthpaw blinked at the sound of his name, looking towards the source of the source of the shout to see two small black and white cats running towards him and his sister. a faint scent nagged at his brain reminding him of his time before hazelclan, with his mother and sisters and... his sisters. the cats running towards them were probably his sisters. his sisters. "i- hello..?" he mumbled, unsure of what exactly he should be doing in this situation.

batpaw's gaze fixed on two familiar cats walking by, something about them nagging at her brain. nudging lunarpaw, she whispered "do those two seem familiar to you?"

lunarpaw watched the two in question for a moment before nodding. "aren't they our siblings? don't you remember them from before we came to live with dad?" he asked. then he froze. "our siblings. those are our siblings. oh my stars, batpaw, our siblings. do we go talk to them? what do we say? uh?" unfortunately, lunarpaw was left with nothing but empty space as his sister ran towards their siblings, leaving lunarpaw to rush after her.

neptune seemed to deflate a bit after jayswoop's words. unless they somehow found him again, it was likely her other son did in fact die in the flood. quickly shaking her head, neptune looked her son over as her daughters shared their new names. "where did you end up? we searched for you as soon as it was safe but there was no way to tell where you had gone."

magpiecrest felt her hope shrivel, the tension leaving her body. sighing, she swiped at the ground. "magpiecrest. she's juniperbloom." she muttered, half-heartedly signing to juniperbloom as she spoke. "you?"

juniperbloom squinted at magpiecrest, worry growing for her sister. perking as she noticed mapgiecrest's signing, the young molly frowned in confusion before huffing a laugh. "juniperbloom." she repeated, signing where her brother could see, then pointing to magpiecrest with her nose and signing her name clearer. "magpiecrest."

blazetail's eyes swept the clearing, absently nodding along to his son's words. this would be the first gathering he had attended since his children were born, and the last time he had spoken to anyone from islandclan, he was told his daughter might be attending.

thunderpaw chattered away to his father, unaware that his words were going unnoticed. the young tom had only heard stories of his family in islandclan, and since this was a gathering, he was sure he would be meeting some of them today.

Mochastar nodded, "That is good you are doing so well." He noticed the large grey tom and couldn't help but feel intimidated. He was full of scars and even has a blinded eye, when the tom just gave him a look he had to hold down the fear. He was shocked that Horizonstar would even talk to the brute, fairly brave of her to do so. He stood back and listened to the two, finding Loststar interesting.

Cocoa & Toffee - Alleycat & Lostpaw - Faonpaw and Sweethen of Chessclan
Cocoa shrugged at what his sister and mother said. "I think it will be up to mom to decided to tell them. And I wished you would have all came, but its okay. I'm just happy you both were here tonight so I could tell you." He didn't really answer his mother's question. He wanted to avoid the thought that his father was really gone and they would never see him again. He did hurt having been the one to spend the most time with Finn of all the sibling he knew.

"Chester is taking over dad's roll of watcher, he is our half brother." Toffee chimed in quietly. "He is really nice, but can be scary sometimes." she admitted, avoiding Cocoa's stare.

Kash - Kittypet - Squirrelcall of Suburbclan
Kash's eyes glinted, he knew he was handsome but it never hurt to hear it. He knew he had the company of the molly know and didn't see a point in wasting time. He moved closer to the molly, the tips of his long curly fur brushed against hers, "Would you like to leave the gathering and go for a walk with me?" He wanted the privacy more than a walk, but it was a pretty night.

"Lots of kits and dog attacks right now. The cold also did some damage but we are still strong. What about you? What clan are you from?" Leo asked.



Heavypad - warrior - Applefoot of Lionclan
Heavypad shrugged, "It can be stressful, but you just have to kind of go with it you know? I feel like I was at the very beginning and who knows? Maybe this is how all clans start off?" The tom admitted. "It gives me a sense of pride to know I helped build this clan from the start." he added.

"Yep!" Angelstar replied cheerfully. "By day I'm Clan leader, but when night comes I'm a kittypet!" Angelstar had heard rumors that other Clans were hostile to kittypets, but Riverstar seemed really nice, surely he wouldn't care?

Spookythorn flicked his ears. "I guess we aren't that different after all when you put it that way. Glad to hear prey runs well in your Clan's territory!"

Squirrelcall - Female (she/her) - Warrior
Kash
Squirrelcall purred with a sly grin. "I'd love to! It's a gorgeous night, and I'd love to spend it with you." She put far more emphasis on the latter part - certainly, the night was nice, but spending time with a tom like Kash was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity.

Liontuft - Male (he/him) - Warrior
Flintfur and Springbird
Liontuft let lay flat the fur he hadn't realized was spiking up. "I'm glad you two understand. I'm really glad all six of us have found new homes, and I hope the rest of our Clanmates were just as fortunate."

Bloomwhisker - Female (she/her) - Warrior
Maul

Bloomwhisker went misty-eyed. "A massive fire broke out in our territory. My family and I only just barely managed to find each other afterwards, but we couldn't find any other survivors afterwards." She blinked, clearing her eyes and tried to look more cheerful. "Anyways, we figured that, just like us, they would seek out new Clans to join. And hopefully their new leaders would let them attend the Gathering, just like our leader let us come."

Featherpaw nodded along with his father's words. "There were a bunch of kits my age back in LaurelClan, I do miss them and wish I could be an apprentice alongside them. But maybe they've got awesome mentors somewhere in the other Clans!"

Mirestar let out a huff as she entered the gathering. Looking behind her she sighed looking at her son. Poppypool begged her to have him come along since he is her apprentice. Though she didn't like the thought of him being so young and attending his first gathering. Before she set off to talk with other leaders she padded up to him touching her muzzle to his "Now remember this is a save space and be kind to the others here." she mewed to him. Giving him a lick atop his head she then turned padding to the rest of the leaders.

The deputy smiled padding into the gathering. Now that her leader was back on to fully duty she felt a lot better. She didn't have to worry about not running the clan properly. Though she knew that maybe her task someday fully so she guessed it was good practice for her.

The medicine cat had a bounce in her step as she padded in with her apprentice. Though it took a lot of convincing to have Mirestar allow her own son to come to the gathering she caved eventually. Poppypool understood she was just worried about her own flesh and blood. She reassured her that she wouldn't let anything come to him. After all, he was her apprentice and she took great pride in that. After Mirestar spoke to him she nodded to both of them and lead her apprentice toward the other medicine cats.

Oreganopaw's tail twitched nervously as he padded into the gathering with his mentor and mother. His siblings had whined about how he was so lucky and how they were jealous they couldn't come along. Though he didn't really want to come he'd rather be studying herbs to become a great medicine cat someday. His mother spoke to him briefly before he followed his mentor to where he assumed the rest of the medicine cats are.

Hopping into the gathering she smiled as she looked around at all the cats in the gathering. She enjoyed coming to the gatherings as everyone was always so kind to her. Once she made it to the rest of the leader's she picked to sit down to rest her body slightly. Coming to these took a lot of strength but she has been growing used to it. Just like she did during her apprenticeship it was all about mind over body for her. Still is.

Letting out a grumble the tomcat padded into the gathering and over to the fellow deputies. He supposed this time he should actually speak to someone rather than watch his leader the whole time. Though he couldn't help he thought of her as his little sister in away. He knew she would want him to attempt to make friends so he decided he would.

"I don't remember much about the flood, just that I was really scared. I do remember waking up somewhere cold. I couldn't smell anything, and it was really far away from home. There was this other little kitten there, too, so we banded together and started looking for someone to get help. That's when a cat named Ravenswoop found us." Jayswoop smiled as he spoke, but it didn't reach his eyes. "He showed us the way to SpruceClan, and I've been there ever since. I earned my name there, too. Jayswoop."

"That name suits you," Jayswoop murmured, tilting his head to her and giving her a gentle pat with his tail. He cracked a smile, teasing gently in hopes that he might lift her spirits. "You always were queen of the litter, so it's good you've got a name to match." Turning to Juniperbloom next, Jayswoop's brow furrowed in concentration. It had been a long time since he'd signed, not since kittenhood. But he was going to give it his best shot. "Juniperbloom," he signed, a little clumsily. "It's pretty. I like it."

The new seedling stood in the clearing with wide eyes. He wanted to meet cats pronto, and make friends. He saw the scholar in the clearing and ran over. "Hi I'm DustPaw" the young tom mewed. He had almost forgot to try and hid the accent the only he and his mom had, he figured he would be fine.

"Not really, but theres some." he replied with a nod. "We have an expecting queen, and.." he paused. "Harespring, our deputy, was on patrol with Utensilpoke, or the expecting queen before she was expecting, and a small snowslide of some sort erupted. Utensilpoke was fine, but Harespring needed to rest for a moon." he meowed finally, tipping his ears to listen to the breeze. "And me and Sunset joined the clan." Robinpaw chimed in quietly.
