Avis leaped for the deer's throat, closing her jaws around the vein and bringing him to his knees.
(Oh, a heads up-after this week, I'll only be on on the weekends, with a few possible exceptions. I've been grounded XP *sigh*)

Dejoin found a grin growing back in his face, watching as Avis took the final blow upon their prey.
"Nice!"
The male wolf said aloud, padding closer towards the fresh kill.

"Thanks," Avis replied. Beginning to eat, she moved over a bit so Dejoin could eat, too.

Dejoin seated himself by Avis, hungrily ripping off a piece of flesh. The warm sensation of it all disappeared way to quickly. The male dove in for another slice of the prey, he swallowed before looking up at Avis with a brief pause.
"Those humans, they've must have come from somewhere... besides here.."
Dejoin found the words hard to say, practically mumbling at the end of his sentence. Still, he continued to think aloud.
"There I was, thinking I was the only being in existence besides the animals of the island. Contact with another, family, I never imagined it. Now, here I am now, with another..all this was right under my nose.."
He felt ashamed, though at the same time happy. He met Avis. Another wolf, like himself.

"I heard them talking one time," Avis replied around a mouthful of meat. "They said something about a boat, so they must have come from somewhere far across the sea. The world is bigger than it seems, apparently," she sighed. Thinking hard, she took another bite.
