They wriggled past Soul in a border-line frantic manner and skittered across the floor to the counter before Piers even got back to their station. One hand was drumming urgently on the counter top, the other was finding it's way into a pocket. The pocket. Beech retrieved that hand quickly, frowning down at it. Something's wrong, I'm usually not this...violent. Not to this extent at least. Shut up, it's good! I don't... Shoosh! "Well okay maybe it was a while, but didn't really feel like it cuz I got to chat with Soul! So what delayed opening hours? Something important? Do tell!" And make some coffee while you're at it, I need something to calm this down.

The type of cat that you'd want as a friend no matter what. She's a sweet face, kind and innocent. Though that's all a front. She acts nice now, but she won't hesitate to turn on you. So get on her good side or else. She's a master in the art of lying and manipulation, though no one would be able gain that from the little cutie? She's a killer for sure but she prefers more long range style. Can't go getting her paws dirty and ruin that innocent image of hers. She's not all bad though, secretly having a thing for stuffed animals. Just.. never ask about the satchel.

An astonished gasp came from his mouth. ''You wouldn't dare!'' Tony hissed, struggling to keep hold of the slippery can. It slipped about like a fish and the cold metal stung his fingers. When she flung some money into his face, Tony was inclined to count it, and lost his focus on the wriggling Dusty for a moment. ''Ivani, keep an eye on this rat.'' He ordered, shuffling through the coins. ''You're still missing one pound, idiot!'' Tony growled, a rush of fury helping him along. It was two cats fighting, one for his life, the other for power. But then it ended as quickly as it started. Unbeknownst to him, Tony was in the same place as Dusty. A very loyal and brave cat had died, and although the clan was unknowing of it, it still tore a hole in him. Shaking it off, Tony stared down at Dusty, whom seemed to have zoned out. ''Dusty...you're missing one pound, and a few brain cells!''

She squinted at the lights on the ceiling. Dusty absentmindedly pulled a pound from her pocket, letting it fall to the ground next to her. She took another drink from the energy drink, waiting for the sugarrush it always gave her. "Uh huh.. yeah." Dusty nodded, agreeing with Tony. She lifted her hand and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Ah..."

Ivani glared at Dusty from the corner she was trying to clean. She had decided to start by cleaning the cleaning supplies, so she had missed most of Dusty and Tony's interactions. But now that they were brawling, she was gripping the broom like a weapon, and was completely ready to jump in and start wacking people on the head, without caring who she hit. She paused as Dusty seemed to freeze up, nearly choking on her energy drink. Arching an eyebrow, she temporarily let the voices in her head wander freely, doing whatever they wished. Usually she just took control of Ravenstar when it came to ordering the other cats around, though she let him do whatever when it came to Fogspark...things were more hilarious that way.

Back to the arguing adults, the teen rolled her eyes as Dusty threw some money in Tony's face, and Tony began to count.
Hey Dusty she called with a huge grin once the two seemed to calm down a little bit next time, aim for the book, and add something sharp in the mix, Tony needs to focus more on the store and less on the books!

Raising an eyebrow in surprise, Tony took the pound coin and got off Dusty's back. ''Glad to see you're finally coming to your senses'' he replied distractedly. Mulling over his thoughts, Tony wondered what'd happened. It seemed serious, it seemed like a aprt of something bigger and Tony Springer didn't like it one bit! Stirred out of his thoughts by Ivani's suggestion that Dusty bring something sharper and aim for the books, Tony lept into action. ''Hey, traitor!'' He exclaimed. ''Get out if you dare suggest such a thing.'' He joked. 'I focus well enough on the store...it's not like millions come through!''

"Noted." Dusty grinned lopsidedly at Ivani, standing up and brushing the dirt off her clothings. "Dang, Tony. Good thing you've got someone cleaning, it really needs it." Dusty cradled the Monster Energy, peering at the far wall. "Gotta love some hard cold irony, eh, Dusty?" She muttered to herself. The sugar was starting to take effect, and Dusty could feel her heart start to speed up. Sipping the drink again, she scowled at the taste. It was the usual flavor- Lime- but... nothing feels right anymore. Dusty blinked blearily, trying to search for the small, bouncy spark that had been Ashpodelkit. It.. had a different feeling. More floaty. And more... influencial. That's weird...

Typical, he thought, waiting for the calm voice of Sagestar to start creeping in, it never did.

"Thank you." Soul said proudly, glad someone was appreciative of the way he wished to live. Unlike a certain molly who simply criticized it with a smile. At her offer to buy him a donut, Soul was a bit hesitant. He would much rather try for a bagel rather than immediately dive for a donut. But Beech was kind enough to offer so, why not take it? "Thank you Beech Song. And in return, how about I pay for your coffee?" He smiled in return. But before he got a response, the door to the shop opened and Beech was already eagerly inside. He held back a laugh and followed them in, giving Piers a smile and a thank you as he walked inside.

Beech continued to drum their fingers on the counter but their eyes were on Soul as he stepped inside. "That would be great, thanks Soul!" Never turn down anything someone offers you, it doesn't indebt you to them. For the moment their violent urge had passed, perhaps helped by the serenity of Soul Shine's presence. Beech found himself regarding the man carefully, unable to stop from comparing him to his sister whom they knew...better. Ooops, you're staring! The wanna-be mayor laughed it off, switching from drumming to playing with the bright purple ribbon on their sunhat. "So Soul, whatcha doing today? Any fun plans?"
