He was about to hug her back when she pulled away. "It's alright really." He told her a moved closer to hug her. "If I can hug you then you should be able to hug me." He said and made a gentle smile.

> Sugar Plum smiled back. Although the lights were all out, she could still see the sparkle in Spice's eyes. "Thank you for everything," she whispered. "I know this is really awkward... and we've only just met a few-" She was cut off by a large crash! The lightning was closer than ever, and she finally said, "Would you like to stay the night over? It's really dangerous outside- and you don't want to risk losing your scarf again."

His tail twitched when she whispered. He listened intently up until the loud crashing sound. When he heard it, he let out a loud squeak like sound. He covered his mouth and drew back his ears. "Ehehe... You didn't hear that did you?" He asked rather nervously along with awkward chuckling. He placed a paw on the back of his head and gave an rather nervously awkward smile. He then looked outside and saw a tree fall down in the middle of the road. "I have no choice it appears. I'll be staying." He said and felt for the couch. When he found it, he climbed up on it and rested his head down as he closed his eyes.

> Sugar Plum rolled her eyes at Spice. "Don't be silly, I have a guest room," she said, placing her paw on his and tugging gently for him to get up. Another streak of light crossed the sky, and a large sound of thunder rolled over the sky.

He felt her lift his paw, holding it. He then held her paw as well and got up. He had stayed close to her for guidance as he couldn't see anything unless the lightning flashed for a second. His tail kept twitching because he felt nervous. He wasn't sure where to walk or what to do.

> Once the Squills were in the guest room, out of habit, Sugar Plum switched the light switch on. She freaked out when the lights didn't turn on, but another crackle of lightning reminded her that there was a storm outside. Turning it back off, she said, "Here. I'll be in the room next to you, so if you need me that's where to look." She yawned. Once at the door, she turned her head, and said, "Good night," and left the room, the door creaking slowly behind her until it was almost fully closed. She walked into her room, put her hat on her nightstand, and fell asleep to the sound of thunder rolling in the grey clouds.

He sighed and rested on the guest bed. He couldn't rest at all. The loud thundering kept him up. He curled up on the bed and stayed awake.

> Sugar Plum woke to a large growling. At first she thought that the storm was still going on, but when she looked outside the sky was almost clear but for a few clouds. The growling started again, and then she realized it was her stomach. Putting her slippers on, she walked to her kitchen, careful not to wake spice, and started whipping up pancake batter with a whisk.
