xSHE nods, still a bit tired from the long journey - but it was worth it. her clan deserves to mingle with others, after all, or at least that’s how she looks at it. “it did take a while, but my clanmates seem to be thinking it was worth it so far.” she admits. when horizonstar mentions tink, watching the little hummingbird curiously, she responds. “not exactly. we’re bonded to these hummingbirds at birth, usually. they’re very sacred animals to our clan. we see them as family.”

Are all your Clan's names like that?" She's so happy to be talking to such an interesting new stranger, and can't wait to tell her kits all about it when she gets home.

"Oh, I hope Satin's alright. Swanstar's lost a few lives now, and doesn't really seem to phased anymore, but it's probably rough losing your first life." He then pauses, thinking it over, and nudges Smogtongue with a sly grin. "Oho, so you're the leader tonight, hm?"

He retorts, the teasing sliding off his back as easily as water. Then he perks up at the news about the apprentice, laughing. "You? Trusted?" He nudges the knight, smirking. "Something must be wrong with Tawnyrose if she thinks you can be trusted with one of those." But then he quiets down, nodding because yeah, he does get it. "Yeah, it was a lot the same with my apprentice, Zinniadream. I get that."

Soon a familiar scent is in the air, and he freezes, eyes widening as he whips his head in the direction it's coming from. "Hey, 'pard. You should go check out some other apprentices! Make some friends! I gotta go, I think I just found one of my old friends?" He laughs a little at the annoyed look his brother gives him, but dips down enough to rub foreheads with him, and then bounds off, eyes wide as he looks around for the familiar scent of Kissingpaw. It's been so long...

He thinks he remembers Pampaspounce telling a story about something that sounded like vampire, but he didn't pay much attention to her story and therefore hasn't retained any of that knowledge at all.

The first generation of kits born in Clan to Clanborn parents." He looks off into the distance with a wistful look, both excited at the thought of it, and a little bit terrified. Only Shadowmist seems like she'd make a good parent, but even that seems like a bit of a disaster.

Her tail is lashing behind her with excitement, eyes wide and practically sparkily. Auletris isn't here to keep her in line, so Weasel has no qualms talking this strangers ears off.

If Pollen were here this time, he has no doubts that his sister would be mocking him for being so calm. But he promised his best friend he'd stay close, and if they want to take it calm this time, then sure he can handle that.

paragraphThere are tears forming at the corners of her eyes, she can just feel it. Pulling in a shaky breath, the then stumbles her way up to her paws, giving the pair a wobbly smile. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to run into you too." She frowns a little bit at how Bluebellblink pretty much jumps at introducing herself, both jealous of losing the molly's affection, and jealous of how easily she can just talk to someone like that. She doesn't introduce herself as well yet, still too embaraced to give the stranger tom her name.

He loved hearing how other clans worked different, a couple seemed to be very similar to his own and to each other, but there still were the few that stood out completely. "We live out in the jungle on the beach, it's very calming out by the ocean." He could almost smell the salt in the sea as he thought of home. "I know my clan works a bit different than others, me and my mate are the leaders of the clan." He informed.

"I know it's not for everyone, but do you plan on having your own kits?" She asked, feeling a bit too nosy.

The tom was lost in thought about plans for new places for the border patrols to check. He wandering around the mass of cats, not paying much attention to those around him. He could feel his brown furrowing, starting to get a stressed headache. However, his attention was caught by a sweet smell. He looked up and his eyes landed on a beautiful brown molly. He kept quiet, staring for a moment. Before he could stop himself from bothering her, his mouth seemed to move without him forcing it to. "Hello there." He said with a small smile. He gulped, hoping to not look stupid.

Just the thought of fighting at gatherings had Quietcove nervous. "I bet if fights were to break out here, Jasminestar would just leave. I don't understand some other clan's need for some violence." He shook his head, frowning.

She had heard about gatherings in her old clan, remembering how her mate was excited coming back from them. Most of her memories of Jungleclan had only been in camp, pregnant with her five kits. She smiled as she made eye contact with a few cats, yet she didn't have enough courage to start up a conversation with them. She shuffled her paws awkwardly, looking up towards the sky to occupy herself.

The tom was actively avoiding this father's gaze, knowing he would disapprove of him mingling instead of listening to his lecture about the meaning of these gatherings. He looked across at the cats, wondering how their clans were. Did they have Chiefs and Heirs? What tactics did their Hunters and Guardians use? Even the ideas of other clans were much of a mystery to him, since his clan wasn't really close to any others.

A small sigh escaped the tom before he set off towards where the rest of the leaders usually gathered, he studied all those around him as he passed by, a friendly smile and small nods of greeting to the few he'd lock eyes with as he went. Eventually reaching the conversing leaders, the large tom found himself settling nearby a tabby she-cat without company. With a small tilt of his head, the friendly smile made a reappearance on the leader's face before he shifted slightly in her direction. "Well hello there! I hope you don't mind some company", he curled his tail around his paws before flicking it slightly towards himself "Mountainstar of Moonclan".

The deputy shared a laugh, shaking her own head in amusement "Oh i've had quite the number, I think it may have something to do with age though". Ivynose laughed, her green eyes sparkling as she shifted slightly, her tail flicking to lay over her paws. "In my case, I recall in my last gathering I had my tail trodden on and my greeting came as a yelp", her head tilted in Bramblestorm's direction, amusement clear on her face and her tone light & slightly teasing.

She couldn't hide the small bout of laughter as she walked between her mother & Mountainstar, the former seeming to hide her embarrassment at almost having fallen. The white healer shook her head in amusement as she continued on into the heart of the gathering, carefully weaving her way between various different cats and towards the smaller cluster of healers gathered from all over. This gathering would be her first as a full healer, and without Blossomspeck or Lilybloom to guide her through, it was a little unnverving being on her own but the young healer settled to the side of the already conversing group and began to glance around. With a flick of her ear Snowpetal found herself focusing her attention on two younger healers, or to-be-healers she would guess, and was unable to stifle her own giggle at the conversation. She could understand having such older brothers far too well, though she could already hear Crowtail complaining that he's a father now, and therefore mature. At the younger's mention of leaf-bare Snowpetal couldn't help but to shiver, leaf-bare was never an easy time up in the mountains, and though she had never even the chance to meet him, the young healer still feels the ache of her father's loss all those leafbares ago.

The grey warrior kept a close eye on his daughter the entire trek from their mountain home down to the gathering place, having given her the best pep talk he could muster in hopes of raising her confidence in meeting other cats her age outside of their clan. The tom tried his best impersonation of Songsnow, knowing his mate would have scolded him for his coddling. Despite this, his light olive green eyes continued to follow his daughter as she weaved between the gathered cats, seeming to forget he should rather be paying attention to where his paws were taking him. And too late. Archeye released a surprised "oof" as his body bumped into another, the warrior having literally just walked straight into another tom. Archeye stepped back and sent an apologetic smile towards the tom, "I'm so sorry, I should have paid more mind to where I was walking". Well he certainly wouldn't be letting Minnowstream or Daisyear hear about this, the two older she-cats poked enough fun at his "ageing", as if he was even that old. "Uh, I'm Archeye of Moonclan, again - so sorry to have bumped into you"!

At the sound of another's voice, the bengal tom turned to greet the tom, a small smile on his face as he shifted slightly to make more room for the guard. "It does seem quite loud tonight", a soft laugh sounded from the warrior before he glanced around at the numerous different cats, it was quite packed this moon. The tom returned his attention to the older guard, dipping his head slightly in greeting, "Nice to meet you Crypto, I'm Leopardheart of Moonclan".

Glancing around curiously, Iridescentcall stayed close to her clanmates on their way into the gathering, she was still relatively new to the clan and the idea of a gathering where so many others attended seemed a little overwhelming, though she couldn't decline the invitation to tag along. The she-cat felt content to sit along the sidelines and watch as the gathering went on, her eyes following her clanmates as they fanned out and found companions to converse with. She usually wasn't so shy, she just needed a little time to sit and get used to all the noise before she could find her own courage to walk into the cluster of cats. Eventually her paws ached to move and she heaved a small sigh before heading further into the clearing, her eyes glancing around in curiosity of all the strangers. After a few pawsteps she found herself almost standing beside two toms who stood beside another she-cat conversing with someone else, she hummed to herself for a moment before approaching the black and grey tabby toms. "Hello there", her greeting came softly as the warrior came to stand before the toms, a smile gracing her features as she tried to relax her shoulders.

Coypond was excited to be here, again, she still held fond memories of her previous gathering back when she'd still been a to-be and the wonderful companions she'd met. She was always ready for the long trek home with stories to tell her siblings, never quite understanding why her littermates held no interest in attending these gatherings. A content sigh passed her lips as she mingled about, catching bits of conversations and saying her hellos to whomever smiled in greeting. Eventually the calico she-cat found herself heading towards another she-cat seemingly keeping to herself, the hunter tried to catch her eye before approaching with a friendly smile, hoping to not startle the other cat. "Hi, how are you enjoying the evening"? Coypond seated herself beside the lynx point, her seemingly always kind eyes settled on her new companion.

The young, exciteable tom was unable to hide his bright smile at the she-cat's warm response, his dark tail flicking in excitement behind him. "Likewise!" He purred in response, eyes shining. "Hmm, to be honest I'm not very sure! We live really high up in the mountains inside a cave, there's a waterfall that gushes down the entrance!" The young hunter grinned as he spoke of home, though was starting to miss his mother & younger siblings likely asleep in the caves. "What about your home"?

As the calico she-cat began to talk, Doepaw could feel her nerves begin to calm at the kind tone, her shoulders relaxing as she settled beside the two. "Hello Petalpaw, it's nice to meet you", the young she-cat returned the greeting and listened curiously as her new companion explained the ranking to her, her mismatched eyes growing as a smile appeared on her face. She nodded her head to Petalpaw, "Yes! Apprentices hmm, that sounds interesting! We just call them to-be hunter or warrior in Moonclan". Doepaw was starting to understand her brothers' excitement about these gatherings, it definitely was a lot more interesting than she had thought.

Eagelstar frowned at the thought of a mated pair leading a clan. He understood that the logic behind it was good, and having two leaders would be better than one since they could share the burden of leading and not have to make every decisions on their own. But, he also thought that it would riun any relationship two cats could have, mostly because if they disagreed on something then there is a chance that it could destroy the relationship.

HE also thought about how he would have loved to have been able to lead with his mate, Snowfire. She was taken well before her time, having lived through the trails of travel just to be taken before she was able to see her family grow. That was one thing that she had always wanted, to have a family of her own.

His eyes clouded and a single tear escaped before he took a deep breath and forced a smile.

"That sounds like it would be hard to do." Eagelstar said in a neutral tone, "i mean, how would to work through problems tht you disagree on? Does that also mean that you do not have a deputy?"

Hawkfeather was watching her brother like a...well....like a hawk. She was worried about him after losing his beloved mate.

Orangeclaw was slightly annoyed by Barkbrush ignoring him, but the story on their apprentice was quiet interesting. he had not been given the honor of an apprentice yet, but since his clan hd almost a dozen kits becoming apprentice in a few moons, he would get one then. Almost every cat would get one then.

"I have not gotten an apprentice yet, but we have a large number of kits growing old enough in a few moons, i will get one then." he said with eager pride in his voice.

Lavendertwig smiled at the fact the cat had not walked away from her yet.

"JInxclan is an amazing place. Though, all the kits running around now make it slightly loud." She chuckled, "From what i understand, it is a far cry from what it used to be, but other than that it is much like any other clan. How is living in Tidalclan?"

Chimera walked over to a lone female with a flirty smile, "Hello there, precious," He said in a sweet tone, "you have been chosen as the lucky recipient of my presence tonight. My name is Chimera, and i am the most handsome and skilled warrior in all of Jinxclan."

He smiled broadly and winked at her, "And what beautiful name graces such a gorgeous she-cat as yourself?"

"I agree completely." Silverrain said, "Violence never solves anything. i would prefer just sitting down and talking to a cat rather than it coming to blows."

Silverrain thought of some of her past experiences and shivered. She never wanted to go through that again.

"Jinxclan is thriving, even with the chilly weather." He said as he looked at the other cat, "We have many new kits and i am looking forward to watching them grow."

Maplefang thought of his sister, and her unfortunate passing while giving birth to his niece and nephew. The thought made his look down, a very sad look on his face. Her death was very recent and it still hurt him greatly. He looked over to the leader's spot to see how Eaglestar was doing, and it seemed that he was forcing himself to be social.

He heaved a sigh as he turned back tot he cat next to him, forcing a smile.

"You have hunters and warriors?" Petalpaw asked in astonishment, "We just have warriors that do both hunting and fighting for the clan. how is a hunter different from a warrior?"

Petalpaw was excited to hear about other clans, and she found this one to be very interesting.

She thought about the lack of a father figure in her kits life, but the clan accepts them and they are strong warriors nonetheless.

Dovepaw looked at her mentor, and he responded.

"We are the medicine cats for Hexclan." He was sad that Dovepaw was not able to speak with the other cats, but she seemed to be happy to be included on the current conversation.

Dovepaw then waved her paw slightly, making it known that she had a question. She drew a crude picture of a mouse and made lines behind it like it was running; then drew a leaf like it was falling. She then looked at the other cat with her head tilted in a questioning manner.

"How is the prey running?" Was the question she was trying to portray.

Rosebud did not immediately respond as he waited for the other cat, hoping that she would be able to understand Dovepaw without his help.

Sunclaw looked down at his collar, noticing that he was unconciously showing it off. He wilted slightly, laughing nervously.

"Oh, um, sorry." He said as he looked at his paws in embarrassment, "Our clan has a tradition where you have to go on a journey to claim your Clan Collar, and if you succeed and return to the clan with one then you are recognize as a full warrior. Each apprentice is allowed to go after ten moons of training, if they fail the first time then they train for another moon before trying again. If they fail a second time, then they are banished from the clan."

He looked at the other cats with him and sighed, "It is taught to us that we should be proud of our collars and the accomplishments that are associated with them, but at the same time when we are with other cats, whether they are clan members or not, we are told to have some humility and be humble about it. I did not mean to show it off like that, i was just thinking about the odd nature of your name and how each clan has it's own traditions."

he looked at Groundbeef apologetically.

Harepaw and Darkpaw walked through the throngs of cats as they tried to find some that looked to be close to their own age. The spotted a lone young cat and decided to be friendly.

"Hi, my name is Darkpaw, and this is my brother, Harepaw." Darkpaw said, taking the lead from her more shy brother, "What is your name?"

"That's amazing!" Horizonstar purred. "It's truly a beautiful sight to see such a loving relationship between two different species. What happens if someone joins your clan during adulthood? Do they bond with a hummingbird as well?"

"Oh, I bet that was a wonderful greeting!" Bramblestorm chuckled. "This is only my clan's second gathering, so it's a bit exciting to those who were previously rogues before joining the clan. But I went to many gatherings back in my old clan. It's nice to see nothing has changed. I find gatherings quite... refreshing."

She noticed a shift in the air, and when he nudged her, she realized that he had sat down. She followed his actions, sitting down next to the Islandclan tom and curling her tail around her paws neatly. The snow white molly began to feel a bit self conscious about her fur, something she had never thought about before. Was it messy? Was she embarrassing herself in front of a warrior of another clan? The medicine cat pushed down the anxiety and turned towards Oceangaze's general direction, smiling softly.

"If I'm being completely honest, it's all so overwhelming here. So many noises and scents... maybe it wouldn't be as crazy to me if I could see a bit better," She sighed, letting out a light chuckle. "It is nice to see other clans though. I get a little tired of my own clan sometimes."

Snowfinch let out a soft giggle at her own joke.

Willowpool pressed herself to her mate's side and looked around. The chatter was so overwhelming, but it felt much better now that Currentbreeze was with her. The blue molly's scent was soothing, and Willowpool pressed her face into her shoulder.

A small sigh escaped the tom before he set off towards where the rest of the leaders usually gathered, he studied all those around him as he passed by, a friendly smile and small nods of greeting to the few he'd lock eyes with as he went. Eventually reaching the conversing leaders, the large tom found himself settling nearby a tabby she-cat without company. With a small tilt of his head, the friendly smile made a reappearance on the leader's face before he shifted slightly in her direction. "Well hello there! I hope you don't mind some company", he curled his tail around his paws before flicking it slightly towards himself "Mountainstar of Moonclan".

Ivynose listened attentively as the tabby she-cat spoke, interested in learning more about her new companion. “Hmm, I definitely think these gatherings are quite important for our groups. I believe it’s also just a nice change of pace to meet some new friends and learn more from cats outside our own clans”.

She couldn't hide the small bout of laughter as she walked between her mother & Mountainstar, the former seeming to hide her embarrassment at almost having fallen. The white healer shook her head in amusement as she continued on into the heart of the gathering, carefully weaving her way between various different cats and towards the smaller cluster of healers gathered from all over. This gathering would be her first as a full healer, and without Blossomspeck or Lilybloom to guide her through, it was a little unnverving being on her own but the young healer settled to the side of the already conversing group and began to glance around. With a flick of her ear Snowpetal found herself focusing her attention on two younger healers, or to-be-healers she would guess, and was unable to stifle her own giggle at the conversation. She could understand having such older brothers far too well, though she could already hear Crowtail complaining that he's a father now, and therefore mature. At the younger's mention of leaf-bare Snowpetal couldn't help but to shiver, leaf-bare was never an easy time up in the mountains, and though she had never even the chance to meet him, the young healer still feels the ache of her father's loss all those leafbares ago.

The grey warrior kept a close eye on his daughter the entire trek from their mountain home down to the gathering place, having given her the best pep talk he could muster in hopes of raising her confidence in meeting other cats her age outside of their clan. The tom tried his best impersonation of Songsnow, knowing his mate would have scolded him for his coddling. Despite this, his light olive green eyes continued to follow his daughter as she weaved between the gathered cats, seeming to forget he should rather be paying attention to where his paws were taking him. And too late. Archeye released a surprised "oof" as his body bumped into another, the warrior having literally just walked straight into another tom. Archeye stepped back and sent an apologetic smile towards the tom, "I'm so sorry, I should have paid more mind to where I was walking". Well he certainly wouldn't be letting Minnowstream or Daisyear hear about this, the two older she-cats poked enough fun at his "ageing", as if he was even that old. "Uh, I'm Archeye of Moonclan, again - so sorry to have bumped into you"!

At the sound of another's voice, the bengal tom turned to greet the tom, a small smile on his face as he shifted slightly to make more room for the guard. "It does seem quite loud tonight", a soft laugh sounded from the warrior before he glanced around at the numerous different cats, it was quite packed this moon. The tom returned his attention to the older guard, dipping his head slightly in greeting, "Nice to meet you Crypto, I'm Leopardheart of Moonclan".

Glancing around curiously, Iridescentcall stayed close to her clanmates on their way into the gathering, she was still relatively new to the clan and the idea of a gathering where so many others attended seemed a little overwhelming, though she couldn't decline the invitation to tag along. The she-cat felt content to sit along the sidelines and watch as the gathering went on, her eyes following her clanmates as they fanned out and found companions to converse with. She usually wasn't so shy, she just needed a little time to sit and get used to all the noise before she could find her own courage to walk into the cluster of cats. Eventually her paws ached to move and she heaved a small sigh before heading further into the clearing, her eyes glancing around in curiosity of all the strangers. After a few pawsteps she found herself almost standing beside two toms who stood beside another she-cat conversing with someone else, she hummed to herself for a moment before approaching the black and grey tabby toms. "Hello there", her greeting came softly as the warrior came to stand before the toms, a smile gracing her features as she tried to relax her shoulders.

Coypond was excited to be here, again, she still held fond memories of her previous gathering back when she'd still been a to-be and the wonderful companions she'd met. She was always ready for the long trek home with stories to tell her siblings, never quite understanding why her littermates held no interest in attending these gatherings. A content sigh passed her lips as she mingled about, catching bits of conversations and saying her hellos to whomever smiled in greeting. Eventually the calico she-cat found herself heading towards another she-cat seemingly keeping to herself, the hunter tried to catch her eye before approaching with a friendly smile, hoping to not startle the other cat. "Hi, how are you enjoying the evening"? Coypond seated herself beside the lynx point, her seemingly always kind eyes settled on her new companion.

The young, exciteable tom was unable to hide his bright smile at the she-cat's warm response, his dark tail flicking in excitement behind him. "Likewise!" He purred in response, eyes shining. "Hmm, to be honest I'm not very sure! We live really high up in the mountains inside a cave, there's a waterfall that gushes down the entrance!" The young hunter grinned as he spoke of home, though was starting to miss his mother & younger siblings likely asleep in the caves. "What about your home"?

At the she-cat’s excitement to learn more, Doepaw grinned, happy to have found someone kind to talk to during this gathering. “Our hunters mostly do all the hunting and are trained specifically in skills they’d need to hunt successfully, but they also have basic combat training so they can defend themselves if needed. Our warriors mostly patrol and protect the rest of the clan, we get basic hunting training too, but we aren’t that good” Doepaw chuckled with a shake of her head.

xSHE likes this tom. his excitement is invigorating, and his kindness is touching for the young molly. “that sounds really cool! the waterfall must be beautiful.” she doesn’t know how she’d do in the cool weather of the mountains, however. “we live in the city!” she replies. “there’s lots of people. most of us are either strays or daylight warriors, so it just depends.”
