Veronica did as she was told and began to look pale.

"Veronica, I'm fine I swear." She told her softly and became dizzy.

Archie told Maddy "Hang in there." and got a better hold on her, waiting for the ambulance to come.

The ambulance came and because Veronica was family, she got to ride with her.

In the ambulance Maddy said to Veronica "First day here and I get shot, maybe I should just leave.."

Veronica told Archie she'd call him, so for now he walked back to his house, texting Jughead.

“No, don’t leave... I need you here...” She murmured as tears started running down her face.

[lupins]

"Hey, why are you crying?" Maddy asked her softly.

[skyprincess]

“I’m scared.” She said softly.

[lupins]

"Don't be. I'll be fine." Maddy told her as they entered the hospital.

Archie texted Jughead that Veronica had a sister, and she'd just been shot so he needed to be careful.

"Maddy, please don't leave me." She sobbed, walking beside the moving stretcher.

"Why do you think I'd leave you?" Maddy asked her quietly.
