Warriors 1x1 - Kia_Bee and Weredog

[Weredog]

The ginger she-cat nodded her head, noticing that now Onyxkit, Jetkit, and Jadekit were all paying just as much attention as Amberkit was. Even Opalkit had wandered over to listen. "It was two rogues trying to steal our prey. I showed them we're not to be messed with though!" She claimed.

[Kia_Bee]

"Were you scared?" Amberkit asked, whiskers twitching in excitement. He couldn't wait to be a warrior and fight off enemies.

[Weredog]

"Nope. 'Course not." Phoenixpaw said, chest puffed out with pride, "I'll always be ready to fight off bad guys!"

[Kia_Bee]

"Lot of talk from an apprentice." Nightfur, Phoenixpaw's mentor, chuckled before looking at the kits. "The only thing she fought was that squirrel."

[Weredog]

Phoenixpaw jumped a bit when she heard her mentor's voice. She obviously wasn't expecting to get caught in her lie. "It might have been an evil squirrel." She grumbled quietly to herself.
"I knew she was telling a lie!" One of the kits, Onyxkit, piped up to say.

[Kia_Bee]

"You still did well on your hunt." Nightfur purred, licking her ear in praise.

"I think she's brave going after a squirrel." Amberkit said.

[Weredog]

Phoenixpaw seemed to take comfort in the praise which helped her recover from her moment of embarrassment. "Thanks." She meowed happily.

"What, it's not like it was going to fight her back...Would it?" Onyxkit didn't sound quite as confident in her statement by the end of it. She was now wondering if warriors actually did have to fight prey to kill it.

[Kia_Bee]

"Some prey do fight back, others not so much. Rats, on the other paw, are vicious creatures. One bite from them could cause infection. Pests, I call them." Nightfur explained

[Weredog]

"Sounds gross." The kit said, nose crinkling slightly, while her sister Jetkit spoke up to ask, "Why would anyone hunt rats then if they can do that?"

[Kia_Bee]

Nightfur chuckled softly at the kit. "We don't hunt them, we fight them off like any other enemy." She explained.
