Odetta looked at him and nodded, "Nothing wrong with a break sometimes, we all need them sometimes." She said, looking away from him then back at him, "So How long have you and Sky known each other?." she asked, tilting her head to the side.

Alex nods in agreement. "Ive known her for about 10 years" He tells her while walking around

Odetta was shocked,"Wow, 10 years, that's cool, how did you and Skye meet?." She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"We met in middle school, she was a 6th grader and I was an 8th grader. Her family moved in from a different state and they were ranchers like my family was, we became friends at school but we saw eachother more and more as both families went to livestock auctions and soon our parents became friends with eachother. My family would come over to their place and vise versa, after a few months we became best friends and thats how its been" He shrugs. Alex left out the part where him and Sky dated for a few years because he thought it wasnt important.

Odetta looked at him and smiled, "Wow, I am surprised in all those years you and her haven't dated." She said.

Alex chuckles nervously, he didnt want to lie to her "we uh, we did for a few years actually" He told the truth "I was 17 when I asked her out and to my surprise she said yes. It lasted for 3 years but I think we both realized that we never had that spark that couples had. We had more of a really good friendship bond"

"Yeah but were better as friends" Alex explains. "I know you think that I may still have feelings for her but I think of her as a sister now. Plus, Im married to the most beautiful girl in the world now" He wraps an arm around her
