He slipped in front of Ludwig, taking the box and humming in thought. "Even so, I don't know the ingredient amounts at all." Feli shrugged, giving up. "Boxed is fine. It doesn't bother me, surprising enough." Smiling at the thought of how many things he was picky about, he was thankful for Ludwig's thoughtfulness. "I guess a lot does bother me. Thank you for asking." Cautiously, he opened the nearest drawer in search of a measuring cup, finding utensils instead. Nope. "I mean, it's probably not going to be my favorite thing ever, but I'm open to new things. You're also incredible at cooking." Nothing if not honest, Feli complimented Lud before turning to the other brother. "Hi, Gilbert. How would you make pancakes?" The second drawer he opened had spices in it. Failure #2. At least he knew there was water in the sink.

He paused in his search to think the recipe over. "Wouldn't we just need flour, baking powder, milk, eggs, butter, salt, and sugar? Just like regular cake or cookies?" He froze, eyes wide. "Oh my God. It's a cake in a pan." Incredulous brown eyes looked at both his companions in turn, utterly shocked. "Well, I learned something today. I can't believe I never put that one together."

In his enlightenment, Ludwig could not even manage to suppress a smile. The wide eyes and ajar lips in awareness was a cute sight, not to mention that Feliciano had sounded like he just discovered a new element on the periodic table. "I suppose," the blond replied soft, teasing manner. Tugging the shorter man closer by their connected hands, his kissed his forehead, lingering a little bit to glance down at him, and chortled at the Italian besides him. Continuing on though as he casted his eyes away to spot a pair of crimson's one (belonging to the albino leaning on the island) and then back to the amber ones. The elder brother decided to say something. "We don't have any eggs though. Opa used the last of them yesterday, unless you two wanna run to a grocery store."

No matter how many times he was able to see them, Feliciano was never quite prepared for Ludwig's smiles. His heart still fluttered at the sight, and he was quite sure he was blushing a bit again. At first he'd wondered why it affected him so, but being with the man for a few months now he knew that the German reserved his smiles for important things. Which meant Ludwig thought Feliciano was important. Which was, well, amazing. Shaking his head, he returned to reality as Ludwig tugged him closer and held him there. "Ah. I'm fine." All he could manage at the time, he figured nothing could kill his mood, especially not boxed food. "But if you want something else, I'm fine with it too." He smiled warmly at the two—Ludwig first, of course. "Remember, it's your house, so it's your Christmas. Do whatever's normal." Forehead kisses were his favorite, they always made him feel so loved.
