"I know he won't feed from you. He's much more civilized than that." Lucien sighed, pulling out the chair beside Sigma and sitting beside her. "You've got nothing to worry about. Once I kill Artyom, you'll be in no danger of getting assassinated." he sighed, rubbing his eyes with his fingers tiredly. He was truly going out of his way to make sure Sigma didn't have to die.

[Falls]

Sigma looked astonishingly similar to an agitated cat as Lucien sat down next to her. The tense set of her back was comparible to the arch of a feline's back as it hissed and its fur stood on end. But Sigma had no fur and she could not hiss. She could only clench her jaw and nod. That's great, but can you protect me from yourself, Lucien?

Lucien's back slumped, cupping his face in his hands, his hair falling forward. "I'm sorry." he mumbled in a voice that barely audible. He certainly had quite the mood swings. From amused, to furious, to downright depressed.

[Falls]

Sigma clenched her fists and shot a glare over at Lucien, only to have it dissolved into nothing but muddled confusion as she took in his defeated composure. There it was again. That same unusual depression that she'd seen when she'd first walked into the kitchen. She found herself mumbling a comforting reply before she could stop herself. "It's not your fault. None of it is. Except for that-" She pointed down to her bandaged foot and grinned. "You shouldn't have ducked."

Lucien left his eyes, his loosened hair still hanging partially in front of his face. "I didn't exactly want to have shards stuck in my scalp." he chuckled softly, giving a small smirk. This man certainly had odd mood swings. His dark, syrup brown eyes raised ever-so-slowly to meet her foggy blue gaze once again, his expression now quiet, contemplative.

[Falls]

Sigma didn't have the presence of mind to look away in time and she was promptly ensnared in Lucien's gaze her smile fading to a look of faint bewilderment. Her brain flipped to autopilot and she replied with sarcasm. "Oh, but think of how much they would've improved that ghastly complection of yours," she joked half-heartedly.

Lucien gave a half-smirk. "I'm not ghastly at all." he purred softly, his eyes remaining on hers, the candlelight dancing across his hair, skin, and deep brown eyes.

Sigma's eyes roamed over Lucien's face, taking in each handsome feature with guilty pleasure. "Says who?" she challenged. Says the idiotic increase in your heartbeat, you moronic mass of hormones. Cut it out! But she couldn't look away. Or rather, she really didn't want to.

Lucien heard her heartbeat speed up, and his smile softened to an unreadable expression. Then, in a split-second, his lips were pressed against hers, his eyes closed, his hands remaining in his lap as he kissed her, an merely an impulse.

[Falls]

[*dies* i was wondering when he would do that! *happy squeak*]
Sigma's eyes snapped shut and she pulled a centimeter or two away from the kiss out of pure shock. But as she inhaled, she caught a faint whiff of some fragrant flower that always seemed to hover over Lucien like a cloud of kiss-me-now-cuz-I'm-just that-sexy atmosphere. And she did, lifting a hand and touching it gently to his jaw as she took up his lips in another soft kiss.
